    Hello Jose! Thanks for this video. Do you think that Pro100 is still worth buying today? I'm looking for a good printer for printing stickers and thinking about pro100 or pro100s. Will your inks do the job? PrintingVinyl stickers? Many thanks. Also, do you ship to UK? Thank you

    How would the Pro 200 compare to the Epson XP 15000? I know it's not a direct comparison of printers. I am fairly new to printing and starting rethinking the XP 15000 after seeing that the cartridges can be fairly easily refilled by going chipless and buying PC inks. I would not be selling prints and just making prints to hang on my walls at home.. The Pro 200 inks are not super expensive (~$100 US for a set), but not sure how quickly those would be consumed. Thinking the lower entry point cost of the XP 15000 may be the way to go... any thoughts or opinion from this group?.... thanks

    I have a canon pro 9000 Mark II what are your refill recommendations as far as inks and cartridges. I look through your catalog of videos and I couldn't find anything for my printer the closest thing I could find was for the pro 9500. When I look on UA-cam they recommend installing a continuous ink system. What do you think? Any tips or tricks? I also own the Canon pro 1000. Is it worth keeping my 9000 or should I switch to the 1000 exclusively or use for smaller prints?

      The stock that's left goes for about $250. Do not fall for Chinese refurbished ones. They are no good. Only sealed new in box.

    Hi Jose! My Pro 100 refuses to print all the way to the border on 13x19. Seems the bottom of every image has a thin white line, borderless on all other sides. I've tried several files different, programs, all have the same problem. Is this a problem you are familiar with and do you have any idea what I can do about this?

    Hello Jose, I'm a new subscriber and a fan of your videos. I am a printer newb! I am just discovering the inkjet world and have fallen in love with the pro100 after reading hrs of text about the printer.
    I make vinyl decals and want to use the pro100 for "print and cut" on vinyl. At the moment I can not afford a new pro200 so a used pro100 is my only option. I have found said printer for sale near me and the seller says the print head is clogged up. I have seen the video on soaking the print head but I am wondering if there is anything else I should worry about? I don't want to buy a canon paper weight but I do not know what to look for or what kind of damage to worry about if the printer has been sitting for possibly years with a clogged print head. Any advice from you would be greatly appreciated.

      There are a couple of options:
      1) Buy a new printhead (about £100 in the UK)
      2) Find a local printer maintenance business that services inkjet printers
      3) Buy a head cleaning kit and do it yourself
      There are loads of UA-cam videos that will walk you through option 3.

      The sell ink not cartridges. They sell ink in 82ml loads. CO Yellow Red Blue are OEM and othe 8 are their Signature Edition formulation. Yes all are pigment made for the PRO1000.

    Hi, Jose. I have owned a Pixma Pro100 for six years and I really love it. Unfortunatly the print head has died. Would you recommend buying a replacement head for the Pro100 vs. buying a New Pro200 or switching from Canon to an EPSON XP-15000?

    • @cheo1949
      @cheo1949  3 роки тому +1

      If you can find a printhead go with that. As a new PRO200 will cost a he'll of a lot more and you can't reset the chips if you were thinking about using 3rd party consumables. The xp15000 cost $350 in the USA. You must modify it to chip less with special firmware as there are no chip resetters for it.

    Have Precision Colors fixed the fading problem of their inks for Pro-100?

    • @cheo1949
      @cheo1949  3 роки тому +1

      It's not PC's problem. ALL 3RD party dye or pigment based ink suffer from longevity problems compared to original inks. It's a universal problem and NOT just PC.

    • @OrelRussia
      @OrelRussia 3 роки тому

      @@cheo1949 Thank you, Jose! I understand this. I just thought that PC could solve this issue as well as they did with the orange/red dye issue.
      Jose, could you also clarify another topic, about 3rd party archival papers in comparison to select Canon papers?
      Canon stated that ChromaLife100+ inks prints can last up to 100 years. Noe they say prints can last up to 300 years :) It is when one uses Pro Platinum, Pro Luster, etc. papers. However, as far as I know, all these Canon papers have lots of OBAs and they are not 100% alpha-cellulose, nor cotton. Does it mean that if one uses 3rd party archival papers, prints will last even longer or maybe Canon papers are still preferable in this regard? (By the way, my Luster+OEM prints, hsnging on a wall without any glass/plastic look still as great as 7 years ago when I printed them.)

    I feel as if Canon is the apple of the Camera world. They like to up charge for everything, and prefer you buy their products .. But of course. They are in fact a business, but many other companies have 3rd party options. Canon has always done their best to keep 3rd parties out of the equation.

    All the canon printers consume inks for unnecessary cleaning cycles though I have Canon printer.

    • @cheo1949
      @cheo1949  3 роки тому +3

      Who said they are unnecessary? Without them most users who never print enough would experience clogs. Also Canon printheads NEED to be flushed to remove residue created during the hating of the ink droplets. So they are absolutely necessary.

      @@cheo1949 I have watched all of your videos that about cleaning cycles. I have been using pro-521(Pro 2100). I really love this printer quality and features that Epson doesn't have. But only cleaning cycle is my biggest issues with this printer, cause I have invested huge money and I am going to buy 700 ml cartridge of 12 inks. I got to know cleaning cycle consume inks, did I buy this printer for auto cleaning cycles!!! I print every day every 30 min, all the print size above A3. When I heard about auto cleaning cycles my stress levels has increased. Epson will never do any auto cleaning and I can do that manually whenever I need, But I love Canon more than Epson. I am still using Epson p807.
