As a Mixcraft user for more than a decade now, I didn't even have to think twice about upgrading. Love this DAW.

@mixcraft can you listen to midi files /sounds, in the sound library while a vst is loaded? Using a drum vst and listening in sound library .....rather than dragging dropping, hitting play, that's not the right one delete it and repeate until you get the right one

Real game changer stuff here, it's as though someone was inside my mind and jotting down notes. I'm in love with the editing upgrades, and ESPECIALLY the envelopes moving with the tracks!! I've gone from Pro Tools to Reaper (still use Reaper a small bit) and 95% Mixcraft. Thanks for these updates!
mixcraft since like 2009. i only downloaded reaper after i upgrade to a new interface, a behringer 1820 and couldnt get it working. worked just fine on reaper. ill record acoustic drums on reaper but everything else is getting done in mixcraft.
NICE!!!! Pretty cool. Can’t wait to experience all the hard work the team put into this. Using the last Mixcraft was a lifesaver having sound editing and visual editing workflows in one place! I will be honest, there was some snapping on mixcraft 9 that was clunky, but I LOVE mixcraft. The mastering, the filters, the name, the effects, The possibilities, very great DAW. Imagine MIXCRAFT synthesizers!!! Imagine MIXCRAFT hardware in general. I wish i was in this team 10/10. #mixcraft10

Very happy with Mixcraft 10 pro studio. I've been using Mixcraft off and on since Mixcraft 5 and have been tracking the improvements made to each new release. I have to say this release really put Mixcraft ahead of the game so much that it just might become my main DAW. Fantastic job Acoustica team.

I give mixcraft their props. I moved on to Mac but when I was on windows this was the easiest daw I used just to get started without having to know much about daws. It was very intuitive. If this was on Mac I would have purchased it before I got logic.

The workflow in Mixcraft is easy and intuitive. I've recorded an album on it and even created a training video in 4K with it. The automation is easy to use and tailor. Even tempo changes are now EASY, making intros and song endings a snap. I love this DAW, and I won't go back to the old, difficult DAWS I used so many years ago.

Opened MC9, just realized how it wasn't easy to look at my newer 1440p monitor.
Glad it is now sharper. Just, it still don't have Arturia controller support. I'm using the essential.

I have 9 Pro and plan to upgrade to 10 Pro. I updated, through Melodyne directly, from Essentials to Assistant within MC 9. I assume the newer version of Melodyne will remain as I move to MC 10 PRO, is that correct?

been a protools power user for a very long time. this and reaper are the best alternatives. with logic a close second, unless you work on a m1/2, all priced right. avid killed their golden goose. but every pro studio in LA still uses protools. which works for a large format session. Most aren't. mixcraft new version is very nice looking too.
The year is 2024. Mixcraft 10 / Mixcraft 10.5 has been out for quite a while now, Let's see what new version patches await us then.
In the meantime. Here's my Mixcraft 10.5 templates that i've made myself:
Orchestral, Symphonic Metal & Synthwave (Template)
Red - Strings (Strings, Violin, Cello, Basse)
Orange - Woodwinds (Flute, Oboe, Piccolo)
Yellow - Woodwinds 2 (Clarinet, Bassoon)

Never thought I'd see the day
I'm somewhat upset that there isn't really any new plugins, but I'm happy it now supports VST3, VST2 and other types of plugins. I still am having issues with Waves plugins being really glitchy though, Specifically the F6 EQ.
mixcraft/beatcraft user since like 2009. i like it way better than reaper or others. i had version maybe 4 n then 9. should i upgrade? the older version was all i really needed. but updated samples and video editing would rock.

Really nice new features. The automation dragger will be a big help.
From what I see though, I'm still missing the ability to group and edit multiple recorded drum tracks for time alignment. I also struggle seeing the wave form closely enough when trying to check phase alignment. Have these been implemented?
You can group or link recorded clips or clips. However, zooming in does not show the waveforms at the sample level.
@@JosephClarke21 Thanks. It's being able to group, move and cross fade individual notes for slip editing I struggle with in Mixcraft and being able to visually check phase as I mentioned. Otherwise, particularly with the new features, I still think Mixcraft is a very good DAW.
@@richardcorbett8815so we did surveys to see what people wanted and strangely enough zooming into the sample level was not high on the list. However, I'm hearing this request a number of times now and I think a future update will probably have this feature. But no guarantees when that will happen. Thank you for your feedback
Is there a step sequencer/drum grid editor? This one's a dealbreaker and why I am looking outside of pro tools.
Might have a new music project coming up soon depending on if my surgeon can fix my thumb, if it's a success i'll have to upgrade before doing my next project for the stability improvements. Used Mixcraft 5 for a decade with no issues but have had quite a few crashes with 9 after i got it so if 10 fixes those and is as stable as 5 was I'll be happy.
Does Mixcraft 10 support the NeuralDsp Gojira plugin?
Mixcraft 10 seems to have added a lot of features from Cubase 10...I think I will stick with Cubase 12.

Im wondering if there will be more Color Customization of the Gui in the Future as I prefer to Have a Blue Theme rather than a Grey/ brown Theme Im ready to buy Mixcraft 10 its functionality and ease of use is very enticing Im very happy with the upgrades it has very deep mixing functionality especially for Midi Touch Screen software the only thing holding me back is the Grey/Brown Gui Im used to Customizing my Daw Like Reaper, Mutools, Zenbeats etc I hope this can be added at some stage and think it would sell more as well ... I've been with mixcraft since version 7, the graphics/color customization have always been quite weak compared to other daws. I've been hoping they will add a windows paint styled color selector for tracks for example for years. That being said, acoustica appears to be focusing on updates that improve functionality. Track colors/interface colors are just cosmetics. My point is, even though they are weak with their updates on graphics/UI customization, they massively make up for it with all the other content in release. Buy they have made big milestones on graphics, just compare 10 with 5.0 for example. I believe mixcraft 11 will be on par with the U.I./ track color options. With 10 they didn't add a color creator like in other daws like I had hoped, but they did add enough track color options that it's no longer annoying.

There is no dedicated function for this, but it can be done in the piano roll with pitch change
Does mixcraft 10 have full multiprocessor support and full plugin delay compensation?
I was reading from a few people that the program doesn't like big projects that use a lot of CPU, that it tends to fall apart vs other DAWs.

Quick question: I have Mixcraft 9 and use it a lot; I have 5 projects currently in the works on Mixcraft 9 and am tempted to upgrade to 10, but part of me is wary of disturbing anything until the queue is cleared. HOWEVER: one track in progress now needs to have its midsection extended (looped and repeated) to accomodate a new solo, and I see that MIxcraft 10 has this function expedited (multi-region movement with moving automation as well), which would be a huge time saver for me if I were to do this in 9. ** If I upgrade from 9, then something goes wrong, can I revert to 9 again in a pinch, OR am I stuck with the upgraded 10? Thanks :)
Open your project in mixcraft 10 then save it, Mixcraft 10 has its own extension .mx10 if you have any problem just open your original file in mixcraft 9 because your .mx9 still gonna be there.

Does Vocalign work with Mixcraft 10 Pro Studio now?
As far as we know, that was fixed last year when Vocalign fixed a VST3 issue. To be sure, we tested that during the beta phase of Mixcraft 10 and it seems to have resolved the issues with it, specifically capturing audio.
I'm keeping an eye on this, but I've been pretty disappointed with Mixcraft 9 on my last album - quite buggy, crashes, stalls, GUI glitches etc. Ok, I've stressed it a bit more with more tracks, instruments, and use of IZotope mixing & mastering tools that are known to be resource hungry.
But still, I'm at the stage where I have to say I do not trust Mixcraft. So, in the hunt for a new DAW, but Mixcraft 10 is part of that list.
A great deal of work went into rearchitecting the plugin components for more stability. Give the demo a try, it won’t overwrite previous versions!

You should be good. I've been using Kontakt libraries on mixcraft since version 7 and never had an issue. In fact mixcraft is extremely cpu friendly. I can run heaps and bounds of tracks and effects more then the big names Cubase, Pro tools, Ableton, Fl studio. I've tried them all except Cakewalk since I'm a windows user. Mixcraft is the best. It has got to be the most underrated platform available. I just co-founded a record production company with my best friend, and mixcraft will be the DAW of choice! Been with them since mixcraft 7 and they've made soon many advancements since then. I'm personally gonna promote the company because I want them to become an industry standard, they deserve it!

It ships with melodyne 5 now . The third party plugins are still in there. Legacy are an optional install from the new built-in store. It is backwards compatible.

I love mixcraft and have been using it since 6 was new, i'm on 8PS now and really want to upgrade to 10PS, is there a way to load my old project files? I remember when switching from 6 to 8 i couldn't open any of my previous work.
It should work no problem. Whatever happened with you going from 6 to 8 was obviously not normal. If for some reason it doesn't work for you there's always a 30-day refund. But there shouldn't be any reason why it would not work

Mixcraft does not do what you are asking. You can, of course, add MIDI to a performance panel slot or track and then preview different instruments.
I have a question, will Mixcraft be cheaper for those who own the previous version? I have Mixcraft Pro Studio 9, after updating from Mixcraft Recording Studio 8, and I got Mixcraft 9 for cheaper because I owned Mixcraft 8, will that hold true for the 10th iteration?

@@user-pj8xg1fh3d are you using 10? And are you having problem with a specific plugin? If so, please contact support. Unless you're in an edit box in the plugin, hitting space bar should properly work.

Pro studio comes with Pianissimo. I guess I'm not sure what you're saying exactly
II TRIED it few years ago and the piano roll sucked. Can you drag select a couple of rows of notes yet? or you still double click for only one row?
pity the piano roll was a deal breaker as the rest seemed okay
p.s. Bring back the color scheme of Mixcraft 8 or at least M9 and I am happy...don't change the GUI with each version please...Things which were good should just be kept like that...new color scheme stresses the eyes

I've been looking for a reason to upgrade to the Pro version...but the addition of one new synth in version 10, isn't a sufficient reason for me to upgrade beyond the RS version(but version 10 does look great!)

Is that jet black the only colour option? Total deal killer for me, would go insane, need some light. I use the light theme in pro tools for example. Grey is fine, like Logic, or if the background colour can be customisable is OK... I find black everywhere actually harder on my eyes and also dreary, depressing and even confusing.
Edit, I see there's a light them, that's TOO bright.

Mxc's Interface is not gorgeous at all! Grabbing locators (easy to miss)could be more pleasant experience. I'd suggest that you guys add some kind of graphic that the user can easily access to set locators. Presently, there's just a skinny line with a flag at the top...That's not pro at all. It does not feel right. To me the audiowarp is the best feature, that's all I use it for...When serato sample fails to quantize a song properly. On the whole the software is easy on cpu and straight forward. Despite that locator issue and the extra recording layer issue ( if there's a way to switch this off Id like to know) that's created as the user starts recording a new take, this uses too much real estate for my taste. Nonetheless, I still would support this company till they get it right.

I couldn’t insert Arturia Vocoder as an effect in 9, it would only let me use it as a vst instrument? Is that fixed? Also is midi easier to set up with external instruments because honestly it was atrocious before. Reaper did all of these things better

Looks good, but I am disappointed that the plugin menus now have tiny type that's almost impossible to read. I'll stick to Mixcraft 9 for now since it does not have this problem.
Adding a text track to hold intro, verse1, chorus, remarks etc is such an easy work, hard to understand why Acoustica does not want to make it. Learn from Reaper, Studio One, please.
