The only thing i would say, If i were to do a different vehicle other than original, I would move the axle back to match the shell, not the other way around. You really do not want anymore weight over that rear axle. You may also Potentially unload the front in inclimate weather control. Maybe the heaver engine might ballance that?
A Shorty would look great on a Copart Jeep Gladiator but I don't know... Don't know anything about Jeeps, I remember having to jump on the hood of my Sons rig because it almost rolled over & hearing him complain about repairs on them... & then there's the engine power... Wish someone wrote a book on the topic
Oh, I’m sure the information is out there. Jeeps are funny. They are a ton of fun and they’re super unique. They do have their reliability issues, but to be honest the newer Toyotas have been suffering a good bit. Jesse‘s Tacoma is always under the knife. they’re a lot more comfortable, but they sure ain’t as capable.
I saw your build on a Facebook group, and it’s really awesome! I am an 80 series owner, but I think the 100 V-8 makes more sense for your purposes. Do you think the 200 series would work for a build like you did, or do the electronics and the suspension start getting too complicated?
"im gonna only use Toyota" same bro ...same! 😂 always thought any of the early 2000s toyotas are a great, LX470s, gx470s, 4th gen 4runners, 100 series. Even sequioas. Love hearing your train of thought with the build
Hahaha😂 I can’t even take full credit for that because a friend of mine told me that he was like “you and my other Toyota buddies will only do stuff with Toyota and Toyota parts” he went on to say I should use a LS engine. I told him only if it came out of a LS 400. Haah
Oh, I love the FJ! I almost consider doing this to the FJ but they’re too expensive to get As far as the Jeep, I love them things also we have some pretty fun stuff going on hear soon looking forward to getting that on the trails
Just watched the whole series! amazing build!
Thanks, man!!

wondering the possibility of boxing in the rear of the frame...got me thinking haha!
