I've been ordering from JD sports for about 5 years now. Always seem to have a nice stock with decent prices. Randomly walked in my local mall a couple months ago, im not a mall shopper at all, but i needed something right then, and saw that they had turned the finish line into a JD. They're selection was unmatched and they actually had everything in stock. Hands down the best shoe store I've been in...and this is coming from a dedication online shopper who hates malls
This is a great blog sir. Thoroughly enjoy what you do. I am also 67 years old and just starting out in the sneaker game and appreciate all the information you share. I don’t buy everything that comes out but I try to buy what I like. I don’t go overboard spending several hundreds of dollars and I try to strictly purchase retail either in retail stores or outlet centers.
JD Sports was founded near where I reside in Greater Manchester, UK. Like you said they have a presence all over the world now! Good video as always buddy! 😊👍
@@fruities86 so if I mentioned Blackpool which is up north why would that indicate I only know London. Bigger cities like London Manchester Birmingham etc have a lot more variety in stores than smaller towns and cities.

Love your videos man, I've been watching since 4k subscribers, you've done well over the years. Thanks for all the work and information that you are providing
Great video, I didn't know JD bought DTLR, I'm in DC, and another Baltimore based store called Shoe City went out of business, I wish JD had bought them, FTL stores got some real competition, this was an excellent educational viewing
I was shocked that they brought DTLR that was a Bmore institution besides another local store that was named Charley Rudos they were the store that helped put Air Force 1’s on the map
whats insane to me is a UK company that went to America and beat them at their own game. We do have footlocker in the UK as well. Here in the UK, JD was just trendy enough to be "the place" for shoes, but it also had a wide selection for family to go and buy as well. Footlocker just focused on trendy sneakers where only 20-35s would go to. They used to play really loud music - ususally hip hop. Everyone looked like they were into urban culture. Normies felt out of place. JD had yoga mommas, famileis and even the 20-35s "youths".
I’m in Toronto Canada and seeing JD come over the border and open up so many locations across the GTA Vaughn and Mississauga!! I can see them bringing some more locations and brands to the Canadian market to compete with the couple big boys that are left standing!!! They have amazing products and pricing….even better selection of Nike’s than the mall Nike store locations….so sad!!
I haven’t bought a sneaker at the store in years. I’ll be visiting the JD sport at the mall to see if I’ll find something I like. I have a feeling I will. Cool video.
Wowww I did not know this information. Makes me understand why I use to always go to every shoe store because they had the same shoes or alittle different shoes but low price of the same shoes in different stores and it’s probably because they owned them. Crazy

JD sports is something else in the US. They are what is considered “trashy” in the UK. JD is not a “ go to” store in the UK. So it’s always surprising to see the stock in the US Jd’s
We just got JD not long ago over here in the Middle East too! They're not as diverse as what you guys got, but it's way better than the sh!t show that is Footlocker! But then finding a sneakerhead over here is like spotting a unicorn
wow i didnt know JD owned FL and SP. Im from the UK, JD always had the best trainers second to footlocker in my opinion. First time I went US I thought Finishline was better than JD and now I know they own them.

Loving JD in Canada! Literally anything is better than Footlocker.

Footlocker in trouble. Good video man...
@@thisiscamisthebridge1360 I dunno if that’s true for the UK, the colour ways are pretty common/boring in JD but footlocker got that heat.

JD is for the masses in the UK, they own brands like Footpatrol, HIP and size? which sell more exclusive product.

Not sure if they are following the acquisition strategy where I am but I do notice JD Sports opening more branded retail stores in Canada lately.
Basically the “fanatics” of sneaker retailers. Buying out their competition to gain a monopoly.
That’s what they did, let’s see if they win in the long run.
First i thought JD was Dr.Js backwards like a reboot and Nike didnt stop selling to them like they did many local stores?
They seem like every other shoe store at the mall. The slump in NA was a great way for them to get in cheap.
JD sports is something else in the US. They are what is considered “trashy” in the UK. JD is not a “ go to” store in the UK. So it’s always surprising to see the stock in the US Jd’s
No but HIP size and foot patrol are. All ran by JD
I noticed they opened 2 new stores here in Vancouver, Canada this year..
👍🏾
10:58 i want those Nikes!
Saturation can be good or bad, because it can lead to a monopoly in which there is no competition. In that case, prices will increase.
i guess JD is been doing this everywhere because they just did this in my country Cyprus and in GREECE where they bought cosmosports
Oh, they have. There are many more retail properties I haven’t mentioned, but they’re on your side of the world.
When i saw those Zoom GT Jump 2's for only $70 in this vid i JUMPED on the JD Sports s1+e, to find out they only have size 7 in them left 😢

What happened at 6:43 ? lol I was learning stuff bro lol...
