At Raglan Mine in the Arctic Circle ❄️, Inuit Relations Coordinator Jeannie works to improve understanding between Inuit and non-Inuit employees.
Having been born in Nunavik, Canada, close to Raglan, Jeannie today helps foster a culture of understanding between the Western and Inuit workforces. “Since we're in Nunavik, we like to welcome new people to Raglan with an Inuk. It's important to have that first contact with a person from Nunavik", Jeannie says.🧑🏽‍🤝‍🧑🏻
Jeannie also coordinates community activities that unite Inuit elders 👵🏽and Raglan employees, encouraging cultural exchange. In her position at the intersection of two cultures, Jeannie plays a key role in ensuring that Raglan Mine can continue to operate with respect for Inuit culture and in harmony with local communities.
