Good morning Jenny. This show your comps thread was perfect for you and Dave. I have seen you show some excellent ones over the years. How can anyone pass on a rockabilly one? I agree with you. Gotta love the Northern Soul. I think I have the Trojan Records "Rude Boy Rumble". Seriously. Songs like "Johnny Too Bad" by The Slickers and a few Upsetters tracks. You showed some excellent genres. Way to go Jenny. A big Happy New Year to Dave and yourself. Catch up soon and thanks a million again for the very much appreciated card~ Rob/Boston
London R'n'B Sessions looks nice. Thats the Hope & Anchor pub Camden on the front. Know that place well. Fun fact Joy Division played their first gig outside Manchester in that pub 46 years ago almost to the day. Madness had a residency in their too. Hope you had a nice christmas Jen!
@@Harrispilton22 How cool that you have been there! Would have loved to have been able to catch Joy Division…Still hope there is time left to catch Madness! Hope you have had a nice Christmas, too! Wishing you a new year full of good tunes!
Good stuff. I'm a sucker for a good compilation. So many great series out there to help listeners get a taste of anything from 50s rockabilly to British psychobilly, 60s garage to 70s bonehead rock, and ska to soul. Great way to get a hold of singles you would never find or could never afford. Cheers
Never did comps or greatest hits lps. Then that pesky comp bug gotta hold of me. And you can guess the rest of that story. Great stuff. Happy New Year. 🖖🚀
@@rikstrange662 plus -Having so many cool people around the VC showing great records does NOT help to curb the collecting appetite at all! Happy new year to you as well! Keep those good tunes spinning!
Great ska comps! My intro to ska (besides Millie Small) was from Trojan. I have a LOT of old cheap comps of doo wop and soul. Stuff that I picked up without covers but have excellent greasy tunes. They have zero monitary value but I like 'em regardless.
@BeaSides Yes, I've started collecting punk comps like the Bloodstains series. I love being able to listen to hard to find punk 7"s all in one place. I've got comps from other genres too.

@@BeaSides I could make a 5 part mini series with all mine 🤪

Chess Rockabilly looks good.
@@vinylrichie007 It’s a great comp! Happy New Year!
Thats a lotta Northern Soul. I think you may have inadvertently outed Dave as a Megadeath fan.
