I had a 2004 murano with 223k miles on it. Not one problem with it besides regular maintenance. In 2017 I upgraded to the 2017 murano. I’ll probably upgrade again in the next 4-5 years. Nissan makes a great vehicle.
I’m a Volkswagen CC owner and I been driving the new 2020 Murano SL AWD as a car rental for a few days now. I never saw myself in a SUV at least, until now..... this thing is smoooth! It’s super comfortable, I love the audio system and the apple CarPlay feature is nice. I was surprised how quick it is also. Nissan did they thing on this one, no doubt.
My uncle who is Nissan mechanic mentioned the murano’s don’t come into the shop like they used to for repairs. Prior to this he did not recommend getting Nissan even though he worked there.
I've been a longtime owner of Nissans, after being a Chrysler guy initially through the first 15+ years of driving. Had 2007 Altima and a 2010 Murano that were both excellent, never had issues with either, and both CVTs were smooth as silk. Then I bought a 2018 Murano, and am finding the quality has definitely fall short of what I'm used to. Had three instances of the engine shutting down in traffic, twice at 65+mph and one of which almost caused a multi-car pileup because the person behind me almost plowed into me as I drifted over to the median strip, despite me putting my hazard lights on. Turned out to be one of the battery leads not being connected right to the engine Since then have had a roof leak and my passenger rear axle boot fall apart, forcing a axle shaft replacement. Plus there was the ABS actuator recall because of a fire risk. All before 30K mileage, which is pretty sad. While I love the exterior redesign of the front and rear elements, I'd caution people to be a whole lot more wary that Nissan's quality has definitely slipped. Hoping if they right their financial ship and end their partnership with Renault, they'll get their act together.
I have a 2020 platinum awd just like that and it is a beast in snow/wintry weather. We got hammered on Christmas Eve in Pidgeon Forge snow and ice everywhere and full size trucks ,jeeps and various other crossovers were getting stuck on the highway and we cruised right on by never spinning! Give the Awd a look you won't regret it! 👍😎❄❄❄❄❄
Great idea having that split screen on the test drive, too many reviewers on here keep the camera entirely on them. It’s always good to show more car less you. 👍🏽
I have driven my 15 coast to coast and I love it down the open road. Great seats , plenty power and lots of features. The CVT doesn't bother me at all and have had no problems with it.
People put so much emphasis of c v t and of bad it is. I have a Morano s l and we love everything about it feels like an automatic. Ok, under heavy gas you can feel the ç v t effect but under normal driving it’s fine.
I have this car, but the SL trim, one step below the Platinum. Our car tells us frequently we are getting as much as 34 MPG. when you shut car off, it tells you the MPG you got. I just love our 2020 Murano
i love my 19 murano sl . i love the 360 camera and the speed limit sign recognition and the seats are very comfortable. The only thing i dont like is visibility out of blind spots but thats what the blind spot monitors are for and the reliability of cvt. overall i dont think you will find the features at the price of the murano at $37,000. other suvs with same features are over $50,000 - $60,000
I have the 2009 Murano and love it. I recommend it any Murano. The drive, audio system, sits very comfortable what can i said. Worth every single dollar.
I have a 2018 Platinum. What is amazing is the gas mileage I get from a car this large with a 3.5L V-6. On the highway I get 33 Mpg. Also, the cameras are great for parking.
I NEED this car!! I HATE that I got my damn Toyota Camry 😒 I hate it and regret ever leaving Driving a Honda or a Nissan. Smh I WILL be getting this suv soon 😭
Love love love the boomerang headlight and taillights. I also love that there is NO auto START/STOP system to turn off!! Yeah, if this had a regular transmission, it would be much better. Like the v6 instead of a turbo 4 which won’t last. Love the seats, super comfortable. A lot more room than an RX.
I have the Murano 2017 Platinum. I was wating for 2020 as 2019 doesn't have anything different than the one I have. Looking at this video I just can't find anything new. I was hoping to see some great improvement. I bit of disappointment here. My car is getting miles up and the time to change is coming soon but I am not paying more for the same thing.
I will be buying one of these or a 2021. I was in a collision literally a day ago and the car I was driving was a 2015 Murano. The safety equipment saved my life. I completely trust Nissan after how well the safety performed especially considering how much damage was done (completely totalled, head-on collision, hit by another suv doing 50)
Scotty Kilmer is an idiot. He’s as old as the car he works on. Ok Nissan might not be as reliable as old Toyota. Buy I don’t drive old cars. I have a Morano s l and we love it, I only keep cars or about 4 years and Nissan is just fine. You watch Scotty channel and he goes on about Toyota and Lexus. His wife Lexus Is 20 years old. Most people don’t drive 10 to 20 year old cars . I bet he has a flip phone.
I own Murano z51 2013 and I like it, but I won't exchange it for the new model as I don't like neither the exterior or interior. Hope the new revision will be less radical in terms of design. Something more like Ariya.
my friend has a 2017 Murano and the rear vision thru the back windshield is terrible because of the seat headrests. other than that, the car is awesome !!
I pulled out the rear seat headrests, stuck 'em under the front seats. Now I can see out of the back WINDOW fine. If someone's gonna ride in the back seat, just slide 'em back in -
It's the exact same as the 2015 which you can get around 20k or less I bought mine 2015 last year and watching this made me feel like I have a new 2020 murano.
If you're in Canada and don't mind a smaller car, the Micra is great too. Just a 4-speed slushbox automatic in those and it's amazing on gas. Very minimalist though depending on the trim you go with.
The camera resolution needs much improvement. And what’s up with the foot brake and non folding rear view mirrors on all models? The CVT transmission is a dealbreaker for me.
It's really beautiful, but what about the CTV transmision? Nissan gear box is the worse in the market...I didn't hear nothing about they improved it ...🤔
CVT transmission is for a retired person. That's why I like a murano since 2003 the 3.5 engine is proven to be bullet proof. Nissan put this engine in most of it's vehicles for years! For me it's not about how fast the car can good, no it's all about going from from point A to piont B, and that's it all what cars was invented for.
If this Vehicle has the same specs as the 2015 models.... BUYERS be aware of the CVT... mine was giving me issues at 39,000 miles! And I don't even drive it crazy or any hauling. Luckily I have an extended warranty. This started happening right after the regular warranty ran out. The CVT is trash!
FoNteS ReVeNgE hey boss. Really a cvt . Is not bad at all. I had own 2 Nissan with cvt. First one was a 2010 Altima. The second is a 2016 murano awd. They are very comfortable. Now the only people will disagree with me or anyone on cvt. Are the crazy and stupid people that buy a sedan 🚘 car or family suv car. And expect to drive like 🏎 race cars. Lol. But over all they are very good. Like I say. No problem up to day. Hope this helps you on that. I been very very honest 👍✌️
Hi how do you use the ipod? I have a 2011 Murano and when you use it with my car you control it with the aux by the radio I don’t see it on this Murano do you control it by the audio? 🤷🏻♂️
Got mines for 23.200$ with 35,000 Miles and with the package that car haves and it’s a 2015 lol soooo why waste so much when the 2015 looks the same Just the front lights and the back lights look a little bit more different but that’s it pretty much Love My Batpod Lol 👍👍😎😎
That is a true comment Renault lowered Nissan standard and owns the majority of the shares and I think that they can't afford to take back sole ownership .
used too be a fan of nissan until my gf Murano 2011 transmission failed at 60 thousand km the cvt just kills nissan and from everything I read nissan better get there act together or its game over .
I had my 05 altima for 11 years over 300k on it, not one problem ever. I own 2016 murano and 2016 maxima both SL trims and so far so good for both of them. It's my 3rd nissan I own. People need to stop with that cvt bullshit, they resolved that problem long time ago.
Dont waste your money , I owned a Nissan Murano years ago, its the worse decision I made to buy this scrap. Not only the quality its poor, but the service.
