Saw them in Evansville years ago. Jesse and Josh were the dopest, most down to Earth dudes. Got Xbox tags and everything. Will forever love those guys. 😊
Danza’s hometown is two counties away from my hometown. Saw them with A Plea for Purging and (get your guns or stick to your guns, I can’t remember) in Murfreesboro in 2006.
I swear JT has gotta be one of the most effortlessly heavy guitarists in metal, remember seeing em perform in San Diego a long time ago now, and ppl were moshing and moving to him just doing the sound check, and imo totally outshined the band they were opening for, can't even remember who it was but Danza stands out clearly
I don't know how Frankie could watch something like this and not be like "okay it's time for emmure to change course a little bit and let Josh write most of the stuff". Look at Yourself was great but that was supposed to be the start of a rebirth. Then the next album comes out and it's just right back to aping dated nu metal trends and Frankie being the center of attention. I don't think he gets how lucky he is. And I like Emmure. Shit like this with Frankie's screams would be savage.
Watch some Stef Carpenter interviews. He says he would like to play some technical stuff with sweeps and dissonances, but most of the people can't get it. The more complicated the stuff, the less crowd you get. Frankie is the same- he is businessman at first, and only then artist. Crowd= label= money. They do music for the living, not just like hobby.
@@MadDjentah Nothing would draw a bigger crowd for them than Josh leaning into mathcore and having Frankie's vocals over it. It's what the people want. There are particular tracks on hindsight that have grown on me since I wrote this but I failed to also mention that at this time, he also had the mastermind of DARKO on the kit. Aside from nu metal diehards, I feel like a lot of Emmure fans were hoping for more of a build on "look at yourself". Especially considering that glass cloud dissolved for this. Deftones are far more accessible and widely known than Emmure. In general, I'm not a fan of people shaping the actual art around business. That's not what you're supposed to make music for. That mindset when it comes to making music is why people stopped taking Metallica seriously back in 1996.... In the case of Emmure though, I think Frank has an issue with not being in control of everything all the time. If Emmure went mathcore, their crowd size would be just fine. These are just my views though. I mean no hostility and I like your channel.
I actually liked their most recent album, I get where you're coming from but I still think you can hear JT's influence on Emmure's music. Just got to remember that Emmure is Emmure... they aren't trying to be Danza
@@SaiyanScum Bruh I’ve done some more research and I’m now enlightened 🤘 remember you saying this and thinking I wonder if he trolling. But nah. Dude is disgusting at guitar and wrote dis 💀 too good 😅
There's an aaaaancient cover by John Browne of Monuments on UA-cam that's incredibly accurate. Poor video quality which just fits with when it was uploaded but makes sense he knows it since Josh was the original vocalist in Monuments
I wish Danza would get back together so bad. I would go see them.
Same!
