Just discovered this podcast. What an inspiring guest. Going to look her up now to follow her work. Nice to see a fellow anti vaxxer and awake person. People like to make out we are ignorant but it's very obvious that your guest is a very switched on person. Gosh! We have so much in common. EDIT. Ended up staying up until 2am to finish this podcast it was that interesting and so educational for those of us who grew up in South Africa during the apartheid era. It is really useful for those of us with white meat suits to be able to hear perspectives and reflections from those who suffered during that time. Thank you. I learnt a lot!

There's a good book by Zakes Mda called "The Madonna of Excelsior", which deals with the issue of white farmers raping black, rural women in the Free State town of Excelsior. Mixed-race children were born during that era (1970s), and the book details the shame associated with apartheid interracial relations that Sis'Mandisa spoke about regarding her upbringing and her parents' mixed heritage. Great podcast this. Well done.

I'm Elderly man now i believe over 70yrs of age, a law abiding senior citizen, GOD fearing, i was in the construction industry from 1997 till 2017precisely, what Mandisa is saying is the naked truth 🤞, but I want to say, firstly this tells us as Africans, what kind of of Leadership we have starting from politics, down to all GVNMT institutions, i can't say it shows how low have we stooped, bcs since the inception of the democratically elect black led GVNMT, we've had commission after commission, remember the Skweyiya & many more that followed, infact the space won't surfice when you add even the Chiefs in our communities, Corruption is sky rocketing like crazy 😧. Now it's really insanity when black people are remorselessly killing one another for positions, possessions and money 🤑💰 this is sheer madness, we totally lack above Leadership qualities, we have no ethics and morals, and what makes to be more astonished we have millions of Churches in Safrica but shamelessly unrepentant, Lastly i want to warn you very sternly very soon Jesus is coming,& all the wealth u'v bloodly accumulated & people u'v killed the judgement day is imminent, whereby your bribe is not going to work, you who proffes to be genuine compatriots or Christians please, please 👏 please i beg you stay away from the corrupt activities and dealing of this World 🌎 JESUS IS COMING SOON.

Unfortunately it has spilled over into classrooms where learners laugh at the wrong behaviour of rude and disruptive classmates and this laughter makes the wrong doers believe their wrong actions are right and acceptable. Politicians have forgotten that as leaders they are watched and copied by the youth. Thank you for sharing your insights.

Okay, this was good. I disagree with some of her views especially her generalisation around feminism but I agree with most of them especially about business, Jacob Zuma, ANC, Taxes. "We must not be a population of excuses" - My big take away!

I specifically disagree with maam Mashego on the idea of Land on the basis that if I am to give my woman my land then she should also give me the old school submission that came with our history. I feel she is taking one thing from history that she agrees with, that benefits women.
Also I am not an absolutist on any matter, I think she is right bout our women owning the land, it is better. especially if the women being given the power is not masculine and accepts that she teaches and grows the family and handles the home, I personally would be willing to sign over all my assets to such a woman because honestly it is safe.

I have seen how passionate some Americans are about American politics and are able to properly explain policies, governance, etc., but I had not seen that in South Africa until now. I know this conversation was limited but wow, I've learnt a few things. Definitely following her work.

Great interview indeed. Mandisa is well versed, knowledgable and factual as well. to absorb the depth of this content clearly need to watch this podcast over and over again. Was clearly impressed with the political discussion, and absolutely agree that S.A needs to move away from a P.R electoral system towards a constituency electoral system. The current system will not resolve the current challenges we are encountering, was impressed by how she discussed the Interim constitution and the final constitution. Followed by the comparison of presidents, Mandisa clearly based this discussion on policies and experience in governance and from the corporate sector perspective over populist rhetoric of pro-Zuma or anti-Zuma sentiments.
A shortcoming of the podcast clearly has to be why did she not discuss her EFF exit in detail.
The takeaway from the Podcast, clearly learnt that ordinary citizens can submit comments on lawmaking to Parliament.
Mandisa sounds more liberal, conservative and a firm believer in the constitution mainly politics of the right, I really wonder why she chooses EFF, which is more of populist and left-wing politics.
