Thanks for another insightful and detailed video. Just bought my first T-bill through your tutorial.
Thanks Kevin, your explanation and comparison of the 3 Gov bond is very clear and easy to understand 👍
I'm really impressed by your level of explanation very detailed! keep on the good work, thanks!
Would be very interested to see a video where you could explain or investigate the best option for foreigners in Singapore what would you recommend, and probably if a foreigner decide to stay long time in Singapore or short term.
You are superbly clear. Thank you!
Thank you. Easy to follow and clear
Cute la you my brother. Thanks for making these videos. Very insightful and helpful. Steady pom pi pi!
Much more clearer after watching the video
exactly what I want to know, thank you, Kelvin.
Can you elaborate more on T-bills? Thanks
Also, what is Cut-off Yield, Median Yield, Average Yield...Cut-off Price, Median Price, Average Price?
Hi Kelvin, for T bills u shld go through the differences between competitive and non competitive bids, as well as the 3 types of yields (cut off, median & average)
P
agree, I still don't undo between competitive and non-competitive
Just stumbled upon your video, your presentation is clear and friendly but please do take up some course on English diction and pronounciation, then everything will be perfect.
Hi Kelvin, thanks for your informative video. About the T-Bill, can elaborate the current rate of return?
Hi Kelvin, great info. As usual you have shared detail steps on buying but no steps on selling. I really really hope you could show some steps on how to sell after bought. Thank you.
Ah, lemme work on that soon!
@@KelvinLearnsInvesting thanks pls do one...not much detailed info on selling can find online also
nice video! if i bid non competitive for t-bill, which yield will i end up receiving? cut-off yield, median yield or average yield? Thanks!
Hey Kelvin, You mention being able to invest in bond using your CPF money, CPF OA is at 2.5% right? so the only upside for investing with CPF is the difference between 2.5% and whatever the bond pays you?
thanks for sharing kelvin, have some doubt and u have help to clarify it!
I will like to ask you a question different from this topic.
How to dca if your broker doesn’t have fraction share ?
Kelvin, please show step by step slowly as to how to purchase t bills competitive bid in different banks
Hi kelvin
I hear ppl say if we want 100% allocation choose non competative is better than competative? Is it true? Which got more chance to get 100% allocation?
Hi Kelvin, how long does it takes to reflect on CDP account?
Hi kevin. There's a 1 year tbill coming up Jan 23. Is it more worth it go on 1 year or 6 months tbill with cpf oa
Hi kelvin, for spore t bills using CPF OA via CPF IA…. When will the funds gets debited from OA to IA? Wanted to check if we are unsuccessful will the funds still move from OA to IA then we lose out 1mth int of 2.5% int for ntg. Tkss
Could you advise if EP Holders can also invest and what if ep is not renewed
Why is Cut-off Yield usually higher than the Average Yield? Are competitive bidders, bidding lower?
How to use OA to buy ? Kelvin
Hi Kelvin
May I ask for Treasury bill, upon maturity after 6 months or 1 year, investors will receive
the FULL principal amount?
How n where to buy the t-bill ladders?please explain what platform to buy?
U say Payment is by cash or srs. What happen if i wan to pay from my CPF OA viaCPFIS? In this case click cash or srs or ? Tkss
May I know if foreigners could buy the Singapore T-bills, SGS and SSB?
Have any video on SGS reopened ?.After closed what is status of existing SGS , all superseded ?
Great video! Btw, latest 6-mth t-bills auctioned at cutoff yield of 3.32%. The next 1-year t-bills is coming soon in Oct, hope to lock in some fund at a good rate.
Yummy 3.32% 😊. bought using cpf oa
@@ocswoodlands cool
Thanks for this informative video!
Question: assuming cash is used from bank account, upon “maturity” are the funds deposited back into the account or into some other place (like CDP?)
It will go back to the bank account
Hi kelvin how long it will take for banking to bank account?
Hi Kelvin, thank you so much for sharing. May I know for the interest given by SSB is a fixed rate or compound interest?
It's a simple average of the 10 year rate. No compounding
Thank you for your reply 😊
What are your thoughts of investing using cpf oa into t bills, sgs bonds considering yield is above 2.5%
Hi kelvin when tbill mature at 11 July 2023 when the money will pay into my bank account?
Hi kelvin how do you check the T-bill interest rate for 6 months or 12 months in mas website? Thanks.
You can check them here

T-bills VS Banks Fixed Deposits -- which is better?
Kelvin. May I ask if we were to invest in either of the SSB, SGS, T-bills from local banks via app. Will it show and be reflected the amount under “investment” in our bank app ? Or will the invested amount won’t be reflected at all in our app?
No it wont, because these bonds are kept in cdp, not with the bank
@@KelvinLearnsInvesting thanks kelvin.
Kelvin, can I continue to leave my cash inside TBills after maturity to continue earning the interest, or am I forced to withdraw them out?
After it matures, the money will come back to your bank account
Kevin, Can i know if u competitive bid eg 3.5 and result (cut off) is 3.8
Will u get 3.5 or 3.8 if allocated?
3.8
Can foreigner apply?
How to buy t-bill through UOB using my cpf OA money instead of cash? Thanks in advance.
Here you go :)

Hi kelvin
If we apply for t bills and unsuccessful do we still lose the 1mth int?
I mean do they deduct fm OA and put into cpf investment acct even before the results are out? If yes then we will lose 1-2 mths of 2.5% int in OA if not alloted with t bills?
Hi just want to ask if it's open to Malaysian?
As far as i know SSB and T bill is also open to foreigner..but you need to have CDP account and DBS/OCBC/UOB bank account
where is the link the comparison of this 3 bonds?
Discription.
Thanks Kelvin, after watching your video I managed to apply for some T bills and SG bonds. Yesterday I tried to apply for 100k of this month's 2 year SG bond NX15100Z , but I was instructed to pay 115K. I did not proceed. Does it mean that I will get back only 100K after two years and lose 15K. Can you please advise. Thank you.
If u did not proceed, the money should still be in your account right?
@@KelvinLearnsInvesting yes money still in my account . Who would apply if one gets back less than what he pays. The past T bills I paid only for what I applied. Thks for responding
Would like to check the interest that we get from treasury bill is it taxable income?
Not taxable
@@KelvinLearnsInvesting thank you for clarifying
Can send us the link for coming schedule announcement of T - bill and bond

Treasury Bills ARE Singapore Government Securities by definition...
It’s an alternative to investment “safely”. But I think most of us here would rather invest in high growth stocks. Kelvin, Just curious do you have stake in this?
I have some warchest money in SSB. Will liquidate once i need to use it
@@KelvinLearnsInvesting thank you Kelvin for your reply!
Hi kelvin it is safety or have risk for t bill
Hi, is it is a good to buy reopen SGS bonds?
Nah, just buy straight from auction
How to sell T bills upon maturity to the bank?
It will auto redeem itself and return money back to u
2:00
Can i purchase ssb every month?
Yup! Up to the total amount of $200k
Why don’t you show how to transact these on secondary market?
Not worth eh. Not much volume, so the spread will be very bad. These come out every other week, why not get it from primary market instead?
I tried before T-Bill. Bought a T-Bill for $1000 and stayed till maturity for 1 year. They return me exactly $1000 only, no yield etc. lol

@@melissa2ks Yeah, I read that, didn't even get 1¢ from it even though I got the bond successfully. 1k out of my pocket, 1k back in my pocket after a year, that's it.
@@haseo52000 Hi ! you should have already received your interest or coupons upfront without realising it· that’s is to say you don’t actually pay $1000 at the beginning but rather $1000 less coupon interest· I have just applied $1000 6 month T-bill recently where the cut-off date is 29 Sep and one or 2 days later you will receive a credit refund of $165.50 or 3.32% yield based on simple interest calculation. Hope it helps.
@@doreentan1771 Hi, discount should read SGD16.55 (instead of S$165.50)? I got mine recently (SGD1000/6-month too), discount received is only SGD18.80. May I check if your CDP also reflected as 10 only. Thanks
@@athena6123 I received $165.50. CDP reflected as 100 Free.
popular for cash rich sg ppl hahaha

3 min 28s, rich Saudi prince is only real to Najis and Komedi (Malaysia's Najib and Hamidi). To the rest of the people in the world, they are a figment of the imagination 😂
Hi Kelvin, could you check in your investors.sgx account the amount of TBills seems to be incorrect. I bought 20k but it only reflects 200.
Last week, I bought TBill bs22118h using CPF - an extra 0.82% pa also guaranteed by the same guys who guarantee cpf 😂
