    Hey Kelvin, You mention being able to invest in bond using your CPF money, CPF OA is at 2.5% right? so the only upside for investing with CPF is the difference between 2.5% and whatever the bond pays you?

    Great video! Btw, latest 6-mth t-bills auctioned at cutoff yield of 3.32%. The next 1-year t-bills is coming soon in Oct, hope to lock in some fund at a good rate.

    Kelvin. May I ask if we were to invest in either of the SSB, SGS, T-bills from local banks via app. Will it show and be reflected the amount under “investment” in our bank app ? Or will the invested amount won’t be reflected at all in our app?

      No it wont, because these bonds are kept in cdp, not with the bank

      I mean do they deduct fm OA and put into cpf investment acct even before the results are out? If yes then we will lose 1-2 mths of 2.5% int in OA if not alloted with t bills?

      As far as i know SSB and T bill is also open to foreigner..but you need to have CDP account and DBS/OCBC/UOB bank account

    Thanks Kelvin, after watching your video I managed to apply for some T bills and SG bonds. Yesterday I tried to apply for 100k of this month's 2 year SG bond NX15100Z , but I was instructed to pay 115K. I did not proceed. Does it mean that I will get back only 100K after two years and lose 15K. Can you please advise. Thank you.

      Not worth eh. Not much volume, so the spread will be very bad. These come out every other week, why not get it from primary market instead?

    I tried before T-Bill. Bought a T-Bill for $1000 and stayed till maturity for 1 year. They return me exactly $1000 only, no yield etc. lol

      @@haseo52000 Hi ! you should have already received your interest or coupons upfront without realising it· that’s is to say you don’t actually pay $1000 at the beginning but rather $1000 less coupon interest· I have just applied $1000 6 month T-bill recently where the cut-off date is 29 Sep and one or 2 days later you will receive a credit refund of $165.50 or 3.32% yield based on simple interest calculation. Hope it helps.

    Last week, I bought TBill bs22118h using CPF - an extra 0.82% pa also guaranteed by the same guys who guarantee cpf 😂
