Really looking good Ethan. You are correct in stating that you should build it correctly to start with. This will last you a lifetime. Thanks for taking us along. Take care. Fred.

With the concrete foundation and the metal roofing that may be the best home chicken coop in the country.
I can’t wait to see the doors in the windows and the rest of the finishing in place

I’ve never seen perlins set up on their ends that’s an interesting concept. Built overkill but gonna last for years spend a little more now and save later! I like it I learned a lot on seeing this build new ideas buzzing in my head for my shed now 🤠

I have had people give me jazz over the C clamps I use when I am building stuff. But they make the job easier, or even doable if you are working solo.

Looks good and it can double as a tornado shelter. 🌪️ Its probably something you already plan to do but I'd put some gravel around the base of the building to keep the concrete from shifting. Just a thought from personal experience.

That looks great man, and agree about taking care of your animals, what those hater fail to realize is even if you don't keep chicken forever you still have a very usable structure for the rest of your days. Pay no attention to those people who have no clue, most likely comments from a city slicker keyboard warrior that would survive 5 minutes living our farm life way...great job Ethan!

Going to have to get you some Milwaukee tools. I seen that nice miter saw. I used DeWalt until I was helping a friend one day making something or another. He had Milwaukee tools and a liked them so much that as my DeWalt tools and batteries wore out i replaced them with the Milwaukee M18 and M12 platforms. Best thing i ever done.

I had to chuckle at the statement, "I don't like chickens. Shelley wants chickens, so we are having chickens!" I know exactly what you mean, Ethan. Don't let the keyboard warriors get to you they want attention. Keep the videos coming.

Looking good! On your bailer, check the twine guides. I used to bail with NH 281 wire tie. When the knot would come undone, one of the guides had a notch in it restricting the wire. Just a thought, something to check. Like your channel.

Roof framing looks solid. Nice carpentry skills you have. Do you have coyotes in your area? Some people in my neighborhood have chickens and are learning how to deal with coyotes and foxes. You may want to factor that in the door design.
