Yes you are right it was awkward but so far that has been the only negative thing he has done which really is not that negative. There will be other things in the future because there will be 1st year coach learning curve on things but with all that I’am all in on coach Foster and support him and UCLA 100%

I don’t like that we already need to make excuses for him before his first game. Sure he’s not a big public speaker but that doesn’t mean he can’t prepare a 2 minute speech… it shows a little of incompetency. He’s done good things so far. But if I’m a high school recruit and I see the head coach getting torn to shreds on twitter, I don’t know if I’m gonna take ucla very seriously

Everyone that has done a lot of public speaking has had a moment where they tanked. Everyone. It’s all rhythm and reading your audience. In this instance, Foster started fine. His “We’re in LA” line could have been a joke but it fell flat in front of a bunch of Big 10 writers that don’t know Foster well, if at all. From all accounts, he did fine the rest of the event when he talked to numerous media. I’m not worried about Foster.

What a great money-making opportunity. You can print up 10,000 t-shirts, maybe $20 a pop, that says, "UCLA. We're in LA." That's $200k !!! You can then use that money to send Foster to a top-notch public speaking therapy retreat. Yes, I've been told many times that I'm a genius.

Now that I have seen the presser in its entirety, I am willing to cut him some slack. The take-off was shaky, but once he started fielding questions, he did alright. Ultimately, Coach Foster will be judged by wins, losses and not a media event in July.
