- This video will help you complete the new I-134 which is used in some immigration cases such as DV lottery. The new form is a bit more difficult than the old form, so watch this video for some tips!

Very informative video! I'd like to clarify one thing. I think you missed reading the instructions on Part 4, Page 8 (25 mins timestamp), that part only has to be filled out IF the beneficiary filled out the form themselves. If it's the sponsor, that entire part has to be skipped (put N/A of course).

Hi Omar, So I-134 is required when we sponsor for Tourist visa being in US with a work visa? Or is it mandatory only when we are a citizen or greencard holder?
@@swathishankar1541 The form has the option for non citizen and non green card holders as well. As long as your are legal here and have the money to sponsor. I think you are good. Regards

Great Video! The video has been very helpful! I did have a question. I have my cousin who is applying for a K-1 visa. However, she is unemployed and doesn't have any income; would she leave the employment and financial section blank and have her co-sponsor also fill out an I-134 (co-sponsor)?

Hello Brit, great video, one of the most useful in UA-cam for I-134. At 20:00 you filled Part3 Q.20 with the "Total Sponsor Annual Income" when the question is "Income contribution to the beneficiary annually" which I understand is how much of the "Sponsor Annual Income" will contribute to the "Beneficiary Income Annually". Maybe you answered based on previous versions of the I-134.
I had the same understanding as well. This is the second video I watched that puts the total income. The wording is tricky to me bc I understood it like you. I hope Brit is able to give clarification.
Anything other than "total income" would be a nightmare scenario of guessing. Contribution is covered near the end in Part 3 No. 24 "Intent to Provide Specific Contributions to the Beneficiary" check this if you know specific amount or check with and vague statement of support like "I intend to provide room and board, travel and entertainment expenses".
Ok, so wouldn’t it make more sense to label as “Total annual income”. Otherwise it implies I intend to contribute to the beneficiary everything I make. Poor choice of wording imo.

Hi Brit, If you combine your income with your spouse. Who signs the form? Yourself the sponsor or both you ? I have in mind the I-864A where your spouse will have to sign. What about the case for form I-134 here?
Awesome video Mr. Brit Simon, I have waited a minute for this content. I have a question. my mother is retired, got enough in the bank to meet the federal poverty guidelines 2023, and receiving SSB. She filled the I-134a for my nephew. Knowing the fact that she is retired. Do you think it is slightly for the case to be denied. Filled date was January 15, 2023. However, she received the Receipt Notice stated they received the form. We are not sure how long is the process time, but my nephew said , other people who is sponsored, been approved and travelled. Any input is much appreciated.

Part 2. Beneficiary's finanical information #17. - I don't understand that part. I have beneficiary in foreign country wanting to come to usa. Would i put 0 for dollar amount and total number of dependents as 1 or 0 for her?
