I've lived in Washington all my life, I've been to most other states and I 100% confirm that this the BEST state with the highest quality of life. It is the perfect haven in a rather dismal, unconvincing 1st world country. Life would seriously be intolerable if didn't live here as a U.S. citizen. I would rather beg Canada to take me or move to my husband's European country than to live anywhere else here, with the exception of Oregon. I hope it never changes. I love Washington. ♥️
I'm jn love with Washington state. I'm from Colombia and lived there for a year as an exchange student, after that, fell in love with it, the people, the land, culture, the music. Fuck, I love Washington!
One thing you could have discussed is the diversity of weather. Sure Seattle gets rain. But Spokane can get everything from rain to blizzards to over 105 degree (40C) summers to dust storms and even tornados. We also have things like the Moses Lake landing strip which is now an alternate landing zone for re-entering space shuddles in case of emergencies. There are so many interesting things about this state because it is such a diverse place. I can go from a true desert to snow covered mountain passes to a temperate rainforest in the amount of time it might take someone to make it through rush hour traffic on the 405 in LA. Pretty amazing if you ask me
Thats very true. Ive been to moses lake plenty of times. Washington also has some of the best fishing in the world. Isnt the Olympic rainforest the only rainforest in the US? Im not sure so please dont destroy me.

Also, most Washingtonians get super irked about Seattle. They’re are SO many cool things about Washington. You didn’t talk about The Evergreen State College in Olympia for example. I've grown up and spent the majority of my life in Olympia. I have never, not once, heard it called O-town. Oly (pronounced oh-lee) is a very popular shortening. Puyallup is pronounced Pew-al-up, and Yakima is pronounced yak-him-uh. Mispronounciations of city names, (most of which are named after Native American words or tribes,) is common, and how you can tell a local from a visitor. I suspect the reason we buy so many sunglasses is that we're so used to rainy and cloudy weather, that our eyes feel more aggrevated when the sun comes out. Along with all that hops, Olympia (or technically Tumwater,) was home the the Olympia Brewery until it closed in 2003. The building still sits there derelict and empty. I still remember growing up hearing the whistle for opening, closing, and lunch.

He literally only talked about 1/4th of the state lol. Seattle only accounts for a small amount of Washington. Eastern Washington exist too you know! For example, the Columbia Basin located in Washington is actually considered a desert and has a surface similar to the surface of Mars. NASA comes to the “Potholes ORV park” to test there rovers and what not before sending them to space! Moses lake has one of the largest runways in the country, so large in fact that a space shuttle can be landed on it. Just saying, could have expanded past Seattle for some interesting facts...
I noticed this in the many Washington State videos I have watched on UA-cam and other documentaries about the State, they overlook Eastern Wa. I even Lived near Seattle for 10 years , there is a definite class division . Eastern Washington Has a different kind of beauty, I feel and see it in our people here, there are days I wake to see clear blue skies with views of two mountains (Rainer and Adams) We have spectacular sunsets ,wonderful hot summers , Fresh Asparagus and other great produce at the Farmer's Market , Fantastic Fall Colors the smell of Grapes is heady in autumn and nearby things to do with friends with the many wineries and fishing and floating the river. The people are friendly I am proud to be an Eastern Washington resident my family has been in Yakima Valley for over 155 years, Great -Great Grandpa came over in a covered wagon and we've been here ever since.
Fun fact the only building better than the space needle (in Seattle) is the Columbia center at 73 floors and you can go almost all the way up Update- also we buy so many sun glasses is because most of us keep losing them (actually true)

@@Iamtheliquor It's all about 50 US states and very few African countries.
There has only been 3 videos to do with Africa. 😂😂 A continent of 54 countries.
Mt Saint Helens last erupted in 2004 and lasted for 4 continuous years.
I live in Auburn, Washington
On to 101 Facts about Iowa!
Twlight was filmed in Oregon
Its annoying when all people talk about is seattle for the rest of us on the east side
Enjoyable, but you really need to check out locality pronunciations!
Fun fact the only building better than the space needle (in Seattle) is the Columbia center at 73 floors and you can go almost all the way up
Update- also we buy so many sun glasses is because most of us keep losing them (actually true)
And on Boston
Also Yakima comes from the Yakima nation a native group here in Washington. It’s not that hard to look up.
Do 101 Facts about Indonesia!!! We are the biggest archipelago nation. 4th most populous nation and one of the most linguistically and culturally diverse nation on the planet!
the first pronunciation of Spokane hit me that I paused the video and put my phone down lol glad you corrected though
I live in Ocean Shores WA.
LMAO he said yakima so wrong it took me a moment to realize what he said 😭😭😭 treasure trove of mispronunciations here XD
good video though, im obsessed w/ the history of this place
Fun fact. Mt rainer's original name was Tahoma given by the natives, leading to the name of the city of Tacoma.
So WHY name this mnt Rainier!?! Rainier is the name of a piss-ant British soldier who fought AGAINST the U.S. ! 🙄😡
Tahoma should be the name for Washington's highest peak!
What about sleepless in Seattle and you forgot to mention the 1919 November 11th wobbly massacre in Centralia Washington. And you said it's supposed to be 101 facts about Washington you did 90% of it in and around you also missed out about historical nature that Centralia Washington founded by George Washington a black man and I think that might be another town in Washington that was founded by a black so I would suggest you redoing your facts and making another one and learning more about Washington then just the Seattle area
Can you do Minnesota?
