After finding Yuna Shinohara's recording of this piece, it quickly became one of my favorites, and I'm so glad another performance of this wonderful work has popped up! I really don't know why this arrangement is so obscure, it's absolutely gorgeous and so powerful.
It wasn't enough that it was a very difficult piece for the piano, the crazy guy decided to play it on a violin...... Beautiful idea... it was simply spectacular...
Maybe because I've listened to Yuna Shinohara's recording of this piece so many times that I'm still not used to the slower tempo interpretation of this (Elly Suh's performance is also another one) but the fact that this is just one of the very, VERY few live performance videos of this means a lot more people needs to play this. I love the original piano sonata but there's something magical about this violin arrangement. Thank you two for your amazing performance. 😊
Exceptional and truly mature interpretation of Ysaye’s arrangement! I think it would have been such a pleasure to Ysaye himself if he were in the audience. Thank you so much for the pleasure.
Nah, it would be different than this, because the piano guy is a pure accompanist. Kousei and Kaori are both soloists, their performance would be a lot more like a fight between the piano or the violin, which one is going to come out on top. Here, it's clearly the violin, and he's being supported by the piano
From the first few notes I think this is the best recording I have heard of this duet
I agree, and for piano solo, i think it's from Traum.

My favourite piece, excellent interpretation 👏
Great work, you two are a dynamic duo! Best interpretation I’ve ever heard of this piece!!

This is so good with the violin :0
especially the part around 5:00 which is my favorite part ❤
But i do think the coda sounds better on solo piano (not the violinist's fault i just think its cleaner and more intense on piano)
The pianist is on point
Great performance and version. Really loved the use of double and triple stops. Very striking. Not overdone.
Великолепное исполнение! Браво!

Icl the original version for piano solo is better, but that´s just my opinion.
Excellent!
Bravo Itamar!
it is amazing! but at the same time i think there was no necessity to try to put a vibrato in every single note...
