- Hey youtubers, in this video I will show you how to get unlimited numbers of any items (but you have to start with at least one of them)

I saw a video of a speedrunner getting an absurd numbers of souls and titanite from their inventory and with a few google searches this is what I discovered!
Use this trick to try some new builds (like maxing your sunlight medals with no engaging in jolly cooperation for the warriors of sunlight covenant) without having to grind too hard or be stuck with underpowered gear/weapons!
This will only work if you are able to have a mouse and a controller connected to your system (I'm not sure what new consoles are capable of but it works on PC) - Ігри

@@eddorellana9078 I did finally figure it out on pc remastered, but I had the same issue.. I then slowed down and followed the directions very exactly.. but it was different video in the end. I am not sure if its directions were different than these though.
@@eddorellana9078 btw the way if you confirm when it says drop you will simultaneously drop the selected number of your item and quit out. Thus permanently lose all of them.

Make sure you drop all your standard arrows before step 1.
For anyone struggling with the prompt swap to the sword: if your game is running on high fps, the timing is ridiculously precise. Limit your fps to ~30 and it becomes very easy. Figured it out after about an hour.

First time it worked perfectly but next day it only gave me 99 swords. So i tried clicking mouse and E keyboard instead of using controller and it gave me 999. The timing has to be done perfectly. Also deposit all 999 swords to your bottomless box at the same time that way you can use them anytime without dealing with the glitch ever again. Make sure you dont have them equipped and you dont put 1 by 1 or else the glitch messes up. Also if you 99 anything put 98 in the box and keep 1 to glitch again that way you have 98 in the box and 99 in the inventory.
This will save y'all's lives. I couldn't get it to work at all, but I got it first try with the E method

the duplication of souls in pc could be much easier using the mouse. you dont need to do the "brightness" steps you actually can duplicate using the "click and e in quit" with the mouse. unless you are using a controller

(it can be used on any merchanta that sells arrows and swords at the same time, like the one in undead burg)
you just need to don't have the weapon you want to stack the 999 in the inventory at the time, and the left click and comfirmation click need an delay of some miliseconds (the left click come first)
Figured it out for steam deck. follow these steps to get the heavy long sword (there is another method for heavy caestus which I kinda prefer, but it is the same thing), but do the brightness screen swap (RB+X) INSTEAD of the quit/left click (not working as easily as it should, KBM + gamepad input is harder with SD). Then, while you have the brightness screen swap open, use trackpad to click over to materials, then X, down dpad, right dpad, X, it should pop up negative integer to drop. This may also work on console using this workaround.

Hey man do you know the exact timing for the 999 swords? I have been trying to do it and it's been to no avail. Is the timing similar to the soul dupe glitch? Or is the timing way more strict, I have tried it in three ways, hitting both buttons at the same time, hitting the mouse 1 first then A like the soul dupe glitch, and hitting A first then mouse 1 very shortly after.
Is it one of those one frame of difference glitches? Could it be my controller's delay? Is there an issue with DsR where the delay between the game switching controls keeps it from working? If you have discord I would love to talk about this some.
Hey dawg, For me its always been the exact same time. You want to have the game think you selected the buy option on the arrows but also have already brought the menu out of the arrow options and into the swords. If you notice there is a delay on your controller input you would likely have to account for that so the inputs end up hitting the game at the same time. I'm having a hard time to duplicate shards. I have no issues to use 999 soul items but I can never get the shards to go in the negative when I drop. Any tips? I already bought a 999 longsword and followed the rest but doesn't work. I'm playing remastered on pc.
wont go negative for me? i have the abnormally heavy straight sword, and im doing the menu swap perfectly, and yes i did the buy cancel before i tried the menu swap. is it because i couldnt buy over 99 swords or is it just a timing thing for creating the super heavy sword? honestly idk
edit: got it to negitive, only thing i did differently was press the esc button to exit the buy sword menu and purchase menu at the same time
do you need a controller to do this? because i only have a mouse and keyboard would it be possible with just these two?

This works on steam deck, and it's easier than on pc with a layout swap. On SD you can bind click and A to one button, probably one on the back, and it seems to do both on the same frame, but I didn't test more than once
is there anyway to get more than the 99 limit? like dropping the 999 ammount somehow?
also tried it yesterday and it indeed works even if the weapon is a 99 weapon instead of a 999 one

I got this to work and managed to duplicate a lot of items. Recently I accidentally bought another Longsword which broke the glitch. So I dropped each Longsword and tried buy 999 of them again, however I can't get this to work a second time. Do you know if the part of the glitch where you buy 999 Longsword can be done more than once? Or have a broken this glitch for good?
It worked perfectly, but I have a question. I accidentaly messed that up and upgraded it to +1 and it stopped working, also I cant perform the glitch once more even though I'm timing correctly. Is my stupidity the end of such marvelous exploit?

I can only get it partially working, it shows on the buy option wich cant be increased. If i have a longsword in inv i can change the amount but it wont increase in weight

actually made 99 titanite slabs in a few seconds. and it works even if item is not 1, it works with 18, 35 etc. literally every number. u fkn saved my goddam sanity bro XD. hope i wont get banned for doing this...

Doesn't work for me in the latest version, it says "01" on the great sword but can't change it to 99/999, its stuck at 01. Already tried pressing the D-pad, the arrow key on my pc but to no avail
In that case just keep one of the longsword and then do it
you will only get 99 swords but that is still enough for the glitch to work
follow everything else normally just keep 1 of the item you are purchasing :D
For me it was impossible to get 999 of an item, but 99. Instead of clicking in the left arrow i click directly in the weapons category and let's me buy 99 of the item, the rest of the glitch works perfect :D, since there's no item I'll need 999 instead of 99 works fine. ty for the video

Hey man good work, I've been trying the 999 longsword step but it only appears amount for me. Is this normal or did i screwed up somehow?
the timing is very precise! Also make sure your using the controller to move the amount to -998, if you click the down arrow with the mouse it will not work!

Edit: I was doing wrong, instead of hovering and clicking the mouse onto the arrow, I've been using the armory one.

You can use the arrow keys instead of a controller by the way so it is possible to only use keyboard and mouse

When i do this i only get 99 swords for some reason, it doesn't really matter because you can only dupe 99 of each item.
I think if you do it once and then again after it won't work so its for me. I did it once and when I try to do it now the menu just stays on the whole time.

was this patched? It seems like I can no longer do the longsword section. I get the buy multiple prompt on the longsword, but can no longer press down to flip the qty to 999
I just now tested it & it's working. I had to use "E" on the keyboard instead of using my controller. I still had to press down on my direction pad to change it to 999 tho. GL

In that case just keep one of the longsword and then do it
you will only get 99 swords but that is still enough for the glitch to work

For some reason it wouldn’t let me select 999 longswords, so I tried buying just 1 longsword and dropped it. I tried again and everything works perfectly, thanks!
Correction: I kept 1 extra longsword in my inventory when I did the glitch to get 999, it wouldn’t work for me otherwise.

For some reason the whole glitch works until i hace to do the prompt swap at the end. Once i do it and press to drop it, the number is "99" instead of "-998" or any negative number. Any help would be nice, thx

You actually don't need a controller for the longswords. I was having issues using my controller so I decided to press E instead and got it second try.

It's a lot easier to hover over quit game then click the arrow to go to inventory and then immediately after press e
that only works with "using" items, like souls, but not crafting materials or other items

04/17/2024 remastered version on PC:the glitch works but when selecting 999 sword i spend 100k and nothing in my inventory so i can't go on...
Is it necessary to get 999 longsword for the glitch if we don't have enough souls?
You dont have to have 999 swords, the whole point of that step is to get the largest possible number of them saved in the games hidden memory to then use that number later in the glitch
how do u use a controller and a mouse on the ps5 do u need a keyboard as well? if so how do u use both at the same time

hey i saw that your comment was recent so i’d like to ask a few things. 1. the dupe glitch in the video works on sunlight medals? and 2. Can it be done without a controller? Just mouse and keyboard
@@urii450 hey, it should work on sunlight medals. I did it with a souvenir of reprisal but I'd assume since they are both covenant items nothing should be different. regarding your second question, I'm not certain. I don't play with keyboard usually so I am unfamiliar but if you know the menu keybinds it might. I'm gonna give it a shot just to see, will update you if I figure anything out. Good luck skeleton!
@@urii450 one other tip, get rid of all of your other longswords before buying the glitches longsword, I think that helped me get it to work
@@urii450 i just successfully peformed it on keyboard + mouse only! the timing seems a little tighter on the inventory inputs, and make sure to use the down key instead of clicking the arrow!

It wont let me buy 999, i allready have 2M souls and 999 swords is 999k but only let me get 953 swords, what could i do?
for everyone who still looking for this, instead of using the controller for the sword step use your keyboard (controllers have slight delay, but got it 1st time with a keyboard and mouse)

its weird everytime i try duping souls it actually makes me quit out of the game and lose the soul in my inventory, but if i do it with a humanity it works everytime thats on pc but i have no issues at all if i do the glitch on my xbox for souls or humanity. Any suggestions?
What kind of pc are you running? Most glitches you'll find in games tend to push your cpu harder to run the game as "intended"

2 - Buy the same weapon with Andre.
3 - Do the swap menu glitch. Choose what item you want to dupe, it should appear an minus valor.
4 - Save the weapon with broken weight in your inventory to do the same process again.

Does this work on consoles or only pc ?
PC only, I think there is a variation of this method for console but its a bit more tedious as you instead have to fill your inventories secret max weight with gear that you have purchased (easiest to buy giant armour) before you can do the glitch.
What happens if you pick up the items on the ground afterwards?
I've never tried it actually, I assume they would either not be pickup able because your inventory is full or they would just merge with the stack that you currently have!

Can confirm this still works in September 07/2022, and I did a double variant of this glitch by using it to dupe “Soul Of A Great Hero” to compound inf souls to hit max level and buy inf items, cheers mates
How does this not work on consoles? I think if you time the button presses right like with the brightness soul glitch you could easily get it. Nothing needs 100% mouse that I can tell. Has anyone tried?

It actually does work, all you need to is just do the usual with the put the soul on the top and 999 arrows except you have to click B first then press r1 on the brightness as quickly as you can. Then press ok and go down to the quit game (do not go up to quit game since it’ll actually quit the game) once you click the quit game now just select the amount of souls/humanity you want to use
I made the glitch and it worked, although I think I duplicated too many things XD, and I have a problem now, now when there are weapons or armor on the ground, I can't pick them up anymore, I even get past the guardian of the sanctuary from the dlc, it won't let me get his weapon from his tail, and he was on the ground, and every time he tried to grab it, he made the animation but did not take the item, perhaps I already broke the game?
I think I know what happened. There is an inventory weight limit I heard exists. The longsword is still in your inventory right?

For the first part it goes on the select amount screen but stays at 1, I don't think it's timing I think it's patched or something

You must "up" or "down" with KEYBORD ARROWS(next to left ctrl).
Having this exact same problem, I can dupe things like souls and humanity but not non-consumables. I get the prompt to show up over the axe with 01 but it won't let me change the quantity.

either im stupid or it got patched which i dont really believe that there was a patch except maybe a day1 patch for this game
It still works, getting the timing down is tricky fort the first time! Once you get it its much easier to replicate!
