Craig Ruhnke is one of those underrated West Coast greats. How come this did not become a hit back then?
Back then, Canadian music producers were only interested in Canadian sales and touring.
Him and his songs did get local airplay but nothing substantial.
I remember hearing this song on rotation from a farming community radio station. Eventually the station was bought and changed format and his songs vanished.
That is close to 15 years ago if not longer.
Quinesstential, tasty, lush is what this music evokes. Mad respect for Craig Rhunke in 2022.

I have a similar opinion.
We can't take this kind of music for granted.
It's deep and hits different, more than words can say.
I listen to this before I left Ontario in 1983.

Thanks, am slowly going through a playlist of this type of late 70's/early 80's soft pop sort of sounding music which I like.
This falls into soft rock/westcoast category.
You can find more music like this from bands like Ambrosia, Bruce Hibbard, Robbie Dupree, etc.

Easy . enjoyable voice. When I booked him into the men's mess at Borden in 79. I had a difficult time getting him back because he was so popular.

Esse tipo de música e cantor não teve muita vez no Brasil. Boa canção.
Até teve, só que nós aqui não conhecemos esse gênero como Westcoast, que é o nome verdadeiro. Mas isso é o típico estilo FM de soft-rock dos anos 70 e 80 como Christopher Cross, Kenny Loggins, Michael McDonald, Steely Dan e cia. Um grande proponente dessa linha é o grande Ed Motta, que até lançou um álbum em 2013 chamado AOR, que pega justamente os sons dessa era.
