I listen to her almost every day. She's definitely underrated. She's been around for years and should be talked about more in my opinion.
Singers liker her, Sade', Ledisi, Conya Doss, Algebra Blessit, and so many others like her will be underrated because they are untouchable by the corruptness of the systemic grimey-ness, but make no mistake about it...they will always and forever stand out and continue to draw us true lovers of music, in its purest form, because they have made their own lane without having to sell out and sell their souls to the dark side of the stardom trap of the entertainment world. 💖
Me too. Her voice. Her flow. Her lyrics. Uniquely classic. In a lane all alone yet so fulfilled. She’s a happy, soothing, peaceful and exciting place for me. I found out one of my co-workers knew who she was because I was sharing my experience at her concert in Chicago. When she told me she was a huge fan too, we literally had an Alex Isley concert at work. It was like omg- “you know Alex???!!!” We were so excited and now share a very special bond. If you know her music- you know exactly what I mean💕
