    have had some of these ear muffs for years, great as you wear them more often, have never had the overhead strap on mine the wire holds them in place nice.

    Well done for caring for your safety! Especially hearing! I work as an Audiometrist and see far too many builders with major hearing losses. Prevention is better than cure! :)

    You seem to appreciate well made things. I recommend upgrading your hat to a Tilley LMT6 air flow. It’s what I wear Landscaping. The only downside is that that model doesn’t have a neck ... curtain... but I just through on a buff instead.

    Nice one! I tend to use ear plugs during the summer - they’re cooler, I can wear the bucket hat and good polarizes sunnies. I use reusable flare isolate ones.

    You can get ear protection moulded to your ear the originated in the shooting industry. They get injected into you ear an have the ability to let you hear conversation but not your router for example

    Scott, have a look at the Kogan hat - guy in AKL that mows lawns. It has slits for normal ear muffs

    And I'm stocking up on my winter gear in Canada. I just bought some new gloves that I can wear in winter while working, but they're only good for about -20. Not sure what I'll do on colder days yet...

    You’re really getting that van kitted out, man. Someone else commented, and I agree that a small fire extinguisher wouldn’t be a bad idea either.

    Those foam earplugs block more sound than most earmuffs I've seen, the 3M foam plugs block 32dec, most earmuffs are in the 20's.

    Love the post production once again (and always), and this time the music really stood out... So chilled. Love it.
    I've been wanting some earmuffs like them for mowing the lawn with my Sun hat (Akubra)... What were the ones you got?
    If you want a deck to silver with age, but want to protect it what can you do, or are the two mutually exclusive?

      Cheers man! They are Howard leight neckband ear muffs.
      I've used clear oil on a deck in the past and it silvered in a year

    2:10 If the band on the muffs is strong enough, you can always wear them upside down (ie, with the band under your chin). That way you can still wear it with a wide brim hat. Or, just get yourself a set of Moldex Jazz Bands (or a clone). I found them to be way lighter, and much nicer to wear in warmer weather. ua-cam.com/video/6spqPb7gQiw/v-deo.html
