    Lyrics:
Dead stars in jewelry boxes spill as we rush past them, lain to waste
We can’t have everything we want, some things will have to stay
There is no beauty in the fire but there is beauty in the way your eyes locked willingly with death and death turned trembling away
Like ice on passing comets we move coldly, soundless, through it all but in the wordless space between us there is something like a song
Each note exists within the silence, our hearts were moving it along
You sing the melody so perfect; I can only get it wrong
So I beg, just make the silence stop (it’s exposed too much)
I think I’ve had enough (time to let it go)
It’s always quiet and that was the sound of us (and it’s killing me, I’m close to giving up)
An hourglass is spinning, tumbling right past me through the room
Gravity long since gone, now an airless tomb
The song that lived between us: here but out of tune
The grains of sand escape the glass, each one paler than the moon
Entire planets empty with only dust and rocks to find
You escaped from here, leaving this behind
You found an enemy in sorrow; I made a lover out of mine
And now I’m running out of air and I’m begging
Just make the silence stop (it’s exposed too much)
I think I’ve had enough (time to let it go)
It’s always quiet and that was the sound of us (And it’s killing me, I’m close to giving up)
What am I to say? We’ve been growing apart
My infatuation with you began to slip into the void
I watched it drift into the cosmos as anguish plagued my mind
As we began to mirror all the space between the stars, I couldn’t take the static
    I needed something more
It wasn’t easy finding something to live for, hearing your voice inside of every sound
I saw a part of you in everything, took a moment to breathe, then let it run out
Just make the silence stop (it’s exposed too much)
I think I’ve had enough (time to let it go)
It’s always quiet and that was the sound of us (And it’s killing me, I’m close to giving up)

So I've heard a lot about this band since I follow DGD, and I see that some of the old school fans are mad about the change up. I completely understand as I have had to deal with this situation many a time with bands I love, but seriously guys, this shit is amazing.

I always come back to this song first. It's so catchy and the notes hit so hard. The lyrics are also fantastic, metaphorical enough to interpret in different ways. The guitars also hit hard, with complimenting melodies and the percussion knows when to thrash out and when to reel itself in a little.

I love Kurt, but man Corey is fucking radiant. I must say the transition from his less clean and harsher sounds are phenomenal. Such beautifully talented people and a well refined sound. As a long time fan I'm so stoked to hear more.

I wanted to tell you all personally, thank you for this album. I haven’t found music that touched my soul so deeply since Relativity by Emarosa or DGD , downtown mountain battle. I wanted to throw my sobriety away of almost 5 years and after a massive moment of clarity with a friend, I found this album. Thank you for helping save my life and never knowing. I listen to this album so much to the point it’s on repeat all moments I’m able to listen. I hope this reaches you guys, you’ve helped me in a way you’ll never know creating this album.

@@brandonmcnemar3477 HEY BRANDON I just happened to be online when your question popped in. Thanks for asking. The funny thing is this. I had done a film with the director in St Louis a couple of years P earlier, he called said he was shooting these two videos in Sacramento and would i help him out and do them

    • @FrankieRay

@@brandonmcnemar3477 sorry i hit the wrong button lol. Actors. Lol. My schedule allowed for the shooting days and i really enjoyed working with him before, so off i went. Funny thing is this i asked him what he wanted me to do, he said what ever i want, just go with my instincts, gave me the song and the over all feeling he wanted. I created a back story that i had played in a band with them years ago and left, and now had came back and saw where they had gone with the music… then just let it flow from there. So for an actor musician dancer. A great opportunity to just let your instincts take over. Two of my favorite jobs, other than working with Michael Jackson and Marlon Brando on Michael’s last #1 video you rock my world…. Thats hard to beat. Thanks for the question i love these guys and band i so connect with their music.

They have a different sound now. However, different does not mean dead. ALLB sounds great as always. Good music has no definite style, snd certainly isn't stuck in one place forever.
The beauty of the lyrics still has not changed. Beauty, meaning the world and emotions that you can draw up from the words. Every lyric has its written meaning, and its percieved meanings: what it means to the listener. That has not changed to this point. I can still listen to their music in a room alone, or full of people, and escape to an emotional world both bright and blue beauty.
Soo..all of that was to say they still guud :P
