totally disagree with protecting a man's ego. If the man's ego is that fragile, it's not your job to protect it. He should have enough self-worth and confidence to not be threatened by a woman's independence. If he's threatened, it shows he's not the right man. On the other hand, I agree with trusting our instincts. I think us women have innate wisdom in our biology, even more than the mind can comprehend. Often men try to belittle us and have us lower our own self-worth, so that they can manipulate us. It's happened to me.

I couldn't agree more! A man should have the self-worth and confidence to not be threatened by a woman's independence, but whew slim pickings on finding that man with that ability! I'm sorry that you have also experienced the male manipulation. It's the worst but it has also taught me a lot! Thanks for your comment. Agreed, women are such a blessing to the world with all our innate wisdom and worth!

@@celestealise Just consistently be yourself and don't dim your light and men will learn. That's been my experience, I'm upfront with my intelligence, dreams, and goals. They might be put off at first, but they learn and come around to the fact that if they're with you than that's what they get. My mom makes more than my dad and they have been together 25 years and have a great relationship. I don't care how much money a man makes as long as we make each other's lives better in some way i.e. emotionally. If I make my own money, I don't need a man's worthless money.
