Rare Edwardian Piano Discovered In Old English Pub In Suffolk

- I discovered this extremely rare Old Edwardian Piano in an old English Pub Called: 'The Bull Inn' in Woodbridge, Suffolk. It's out of tune but an incredible find all the same .... Thank You for watching. All the boogie best. Terry Miles

Playing to one lady and her dog but really you were playing to thousands of people like me who never usually comment. I love how the hymns morph into boogie woogie. You have so much respect for the venue and people and the music.

Hello Terry Miles there's a new public pipe organ installed in the 'Whitgift Shopping Centre' at Croydon, UK. You should go check it out and performs in front of the public.
The lady and her dog reminds me of my time while stationed at RAF Lakenheath back in the mid 1980’s. My local village, Mundford, has a hotel called the Crown. Every Sunday an older gentleman (probably in his late 80’s) came in with his dog and had a pint. He would buy a half pint for the dog who would drink his beer from the glass while sitting on the chair at the table. Regular as clockwork those two were…..I was there every Sunday as well, after the local rugby game, playing darts or dominoes. I was the only American living in the village at the time. What fun! Wonderful uplifting happy stuff Terry! I used to go to The Bull when my friend Cassie was booked in there as their singer for Christmas. Cass is a piano teacher, flute teacher music theory teacher as well as a singer but sadly for me she moved to Spain. Thoroughly enjoyed that Terry and what a shame that our heritage of organs, old pubs and open churches with a piano seems to be getting thinner and thinner on the ground. Cheers again Terry

Terry, I love eating oysters too! I love seafood but it's hard to buy fresh seafood in Northern Ireland. I love having steam fish and fried big prawns with ketchup but can't find any good fresh fish or good prawns here. I miss the food in Hong Kong.
Yes, I am still in the UK because I lost my home in Hong Kong. I put my brief story under the description of my latest upload - Tears In Heaven. The UK government granted me a 5-yr visa recently. I will then in the meantime stay in the UK and go back to Hong Kong from time to time for legal stuff.
Btw, I thank you for introducing "Only You" to me during your live streams months ago. At that time I didn't know the name of the song and I called it the "pa da da da song"... hahaha. I finally have learned it and sung it. I did tag your channel to thank you. I uploaded it around a week ago. Hope you like it.

Amazing, please visit the White Horse in Thelnetham if you're that way, there is an 1885 type piano there, still in tune as well and we're still raising the money to buy the pub.

Hi Terry, if your still around the area pop to Harwich.(about half hour from Woodbridge) There's a church there with a pipe organ. And if you come on a Sunday afternoon be sure to pop in the the Swan Inn, always local musicians having a jam there. And real beer. You would love it.

if you're ever passing you should go to The Stag in Hinton Charterhouse just outside of Bath. They have a nice Piano, also Chris Martin from Coldplay popped in for a pint and played it last year.

Well done Terry. With a tip of the hat to Jesus and Mexican music, boogie woogie goes well everywhere. Wonderful antique upright grand. These big old uprights should all be kept, tuned and played like they were intended over 100 years ago. My 1902 57" Schaff Bros upright grand loves to feel that boogie beat. I live in Beccles, Suffolk. You should venture down the back roads around ringsfield and ilkeshaw St Andrew/ st. Margret. Lots of medieval churches most of which are open. I came across a old pipe organ that had manual bellows (as well as mains power), unfortunately I can’t remember which church though as I have explored many. Love your videos 😊

With modern digital pianos you need to run it through a 'chorus' effect to get that traditional pub/honky-tonk sound.

Terry I almost sit in awe of your talent. One thing that keeps wondering is how are those pianos in tune? Or do you find the keys that are out of tune and work around them. I don't understand why more people to walk in to find out what is going on? Or are these small-town residents just that shy?
