- In this video Jonah Mulski of High Spirits Flutes shares some basic music theory that can be helpful for moving you along on your musical journey.
the way this is presented pretty much covers everything that was in my first semester music theory class at school... and it was easier to understand :) kudo's to Jonah!
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks so much for this refresher! I just ordered my first 2 flutes and it’s been over 20 years since I took much theory in high school!
Enjoyed this, it was clearly and an excellent starting point for those looking to further their growth! People tend to get stuck, as you have said, in certain phrases. I find playing various scales (either cross fingering or fixed scale flutes) and creating with other musicians, forces you to break pattern and brings you back to your feeling sense, while playing. I play guitar solo out and about, but flute does really lend itself well to other warm instruments.Be well guys.
