Lonerism imo is Kevin’s greatest work ever, it’s a hybrid between the old style psych rock of innerspeaker and the more digital synthesised style of currents but blended to a perfect outcome. Very introspective psychedelic work ✌️
Just imagining Kevin sitting in his messy ass room making this shit blows my mind.. I also have a messy ass room in a music collective house, and I relate to this wayyyy too much
@@nicholasking5734 I know what it's like to be in Paris in springtime and summer, I can assure you that this album is perfect for it. If anybody has the opportunity to experience it, I recommend it. From the afternoon in the park or the seine border, to the evening at the bar and the night at a party in an apartment, to the next morning and the feeling of the city waking up to a sunny new day. It's a bubble and this music is perfect for that echo chamber
Is it crazy to say that the unreleased Lonerism sketches and B-sides might be my favorite Tame era ever? Listening to these, it's so obvious Kevin was already thinking about Currents, but wasn't quite there yet. Retina Show may be my favorite song ever, but damn, tracks 9 & 10 on this sketch album... there's something different about them. I love listening to this whole album of sketches in its entirety while driving. I know people are saying these should have been full-length songs (and they're good enough to be), but I personally love how short they are. You miss them as soon as they're over and have to listen to the whole album again, just to get a taste of everything. It's genius.
As a musician myself this helps me so much to understand my process. Sometimes I feel as though I am not making any progress. Thank you for this, I feel so connected. 😊❤
Thanks for uploading this. I'm a huge fan of psychedelic Tame Impala, Innerspeaker, Lonerism and the B sides and rarities are musical greatness. Thanks for this!! Hope someday Kevin returns to the fuzzy and trippy rock
I actually just released an extended version of that track. Not as good as Kevin would make it, but I put my efforts in it. Check it out if you want, I'd like to know what you think about it :)
I never comment on UA-cam but this kind of content helped me realise there are so many people to share these great experiences with, have a great day everyone
Track 9 clearly explains that Kevin has always had the fascination and talent to create pop music. Love the track, I wish he would recreate it for a new album!!! ❤
I was late to the party but Lonerism is probably my favourite album of all time now. Love these demos, great to hear some of the development of this absolute genius.
The dialog from 3:19 Melody: "Oh is this tonight?" Kevin "Yea just recording it--" M: "Omg whose is this?" K: "idk" M: "have you ever heard of this director? This guy I worked with like the producer of the Beatles, Allen, --- It was around the same time that he was -- like ahead of his time. So into it. Didnt mean to interrupt you" K: "haha its alright" M: "Gumby do you own this? Or do you know anyone who does?" Gumby: "Idk" M: "Man if you ever see the copy of The Holy Mountain floating around I would shits insane" G: "Yeh. Heck Yea. Play it again Kev"
Track 9 y 10 fácilmente podrían haber sido parte de Lonerism original, a mi parecer logra transmitir esa tristeza y anhelo que se siente en feels like only go backwards y nothing that has happened so far... Gracias por subirlo :3
Track 6 is making me feel like im standing in the rain with everything i ever wanted to achieve becoming real but i had never thought about the consequences and now im aimlessly and hopelessly standing there on the street with the rain pouring not knowing what to do
These demos sound so much better than the innerspeaker demos, I really don't understand why Kev never mastered them, hopefully one day they'll come out on another anniversary edition, maybe Lonerism 20th?

OMG thank you!!!!!!
u be so high cause u the goat on the mountain appreciate it g
Track 9 is insane, I can't get over how good it is.
The others are so much better though. The psychedelic rock is so much better compared to the pop
Yeah it is good I like it, not sure it has same energy as the others in these demos for me. But thats alright still do like it
Track 2 is actually crazy??? That has so much potential as a re-work. Someone get Kevin on the phone NOW
also bless you for sharing this 🙏🏿
working on it 😅
oh yes, that is the awesome old tame impala sound we would all die for :)
Sounds like his work on Melody's Echo Chamber. Listen it, you'll love that
It feels more like innerspeaker oriented
Lonerism imo is Kevin’s greatest work ever, it’s a hybrid between the old style psych rock of innerspeaker and the more digital synthesised style of currents but blended to a perfect outcome. Very introspective psychedelic work ✌️
Yes I honestly think Lonerism was his best but then I thought Currents was his masterpiece because of the breakup nature of the album
100% Lonerism. by far the most creative musically.

This album matches the vibe of Paris during springtime/summer it's actually fascinating.
I can see it through the music, it's full of this vibe

Same, I think track 6, 9 and 10 are very Lonerism
I like it a lot too
TRACK 6 makes me feel like I'm inside a dream that I never had.
Are you kidding me… sidelining tracks like these is just mind blowing. God I hope Kev masters these
dude that's what happens when you're a fucking musical genius, you get tracks like these that are sidelined when they're absolutely incredible
he released retina show in full and a song called sidetracked on his offical page.well prob get the masters when the box set comes out!:)
Cannot express how much it means to us that you posted this. I would've never found these. I love Kevin Parker.

Wow, hearing 'Enders Toi' taking shape almost brought a tear to my eye. That song is wonderful.
Track 9 has been on loop since forever ✨
Lonerism is the greatest album of all times in the history of music.
Gotta be listed in the top 20 albums of the 2010’s
Good god I don’t know how you found these demos. Absolutely breathtaking. Especially track 9. It’s like finding the secret stash of Kevin Parker gold.
It's from the Lonerism 10 year anniversary edition
the track 11 riff reminds me of the riff at the end of music to walk home by
From a songwriter's perspective this is a treasure trove. Thanks for uploading.
Also a songwriter, wouldn't be if it werent for Tame Impala. This shit is the motherlode...
Completely agree, loving this so much right now
