Another thanks for this one Ray! After growing up in jersey, I lived in Pittsburgh for a decade. There’s been talks of what they would do with this piece of history for many years. Thanks for the update!
This was super interesting. You would think Westinghouse or a historical society would have been more proactive in preserving it. Kind of reminds me of some "worlds fair" type showcase. From the previous pictures I saw they knocked it off the structure it sat upon.
I went there today, 23 July 2023 - it’s an awesome location! 😊
Yes it is!

Glad you enjoyed it
Wow.!!! Very unusual...Wonder if it was dangerous when it was being used.??
Definitely big-time Fallout vibes, especially with that name. Awesome, man!
Damn people had to put graffiti on it ! Really interesting video. Thanks for sharing. I wonder how heavy it is.
I couldn't lift it when I tried
That was really neat. Also laughing at seeing the DIY skatepark the kids made there.
Yeah it is pretty funny
Thanks Ray , very cool !

Yes, it used to be part of a larger structure
Super interesting, buddy.
Thanks for filming it, Ray.
You're right, it is other worldly. It's like something out of the watchmen movie.😂🙌
You should've hooked your car battery up to it, see if you could start it up again. 😂
I know right!
Woah that's nuts! I've actually never heard of this thing till now. Time to research!
That's really cool to see
Maybe, just maybe they can save it? That would be nice.
Yeah it would be
Wikipedia has nice article on this Westinghouse atom smasher and how it worked
Now that's something you don't see everyday and right across from a block of houses
This was interesting to see and learn about. I wonder how those people feel about living next t it. lol
Must be weird
Popular location, but i didn't visit yet(
It's worth seeing in person, it's really something else
