He captures beautiful and terrifying imagery, mixing in performances in the same vein. One of the most underrated films of last year
Got to be honest, my neighbor who is openly gay despises this movie. He made the link between cannibalism and his alternative lifestyle. But personally feels that it goes too far since cannibalism is such a deviant and horrendous taboo. He feels his lifestyle should not be linked with something so horrific. There are likely others in that community who feel the same way.
Felt that. I'm bi, myself. If anything, the killers in this movie aren't LGBT coded, but bigot coded, people that predate on those, they see as lesser than them. They lie and lure them into a state of security, where they can be comfortable around them and then they kill them. I didn't notice the metaphor of being queer until it was pointed out to me. I think the reason it didnt track (for me personally) is that, being a cannibal causes actual harm to others, meanwhile, being gay has never and will never hurt someone
Correct. This is why queer comparisons of this movie really annoy me. Queer folk got enough negativity to put up with let alone being compared to cannibals. Like this movie wants people to think all queer folk are Jeffrey Dahmer...

I only heard about this movie because it is masterfully scored by the absolute legend, one Mister Trent Reznor and the incredible Atticus Ross. I'm a diehard NIN fan and I love all their work.
I thought David Fincher kept Reznor and Ross for himself.
I see what you did there Chelsea and script writers when Chelsea said the word cannabilism and the focus of the shot being Armie Hammer. That was just... well done. This is why I love this channel
Although the movie being dark und gritty, I found this to be one of the funniest and most well narrated kill counts. The jokes always landed good with me and the Movie was summarised quite well. Superb job Deadmeat team.
The jokes in this one really got me! The state gags and the arrested development Captain Hook had me in tears.
It's now a tradition that James is to be killed/maimed on Zoran's and Chelsea's KC. And we can see an imporvement in Chels' performance during these KCs, love to see what she covers next
“That man had a baby” I’m sorry but I lost it 😂😂😂😂 Chelsea delivered that line so perfectly
Raycon really gotta pay you guys extra for these top tier sponsor segments
Did she really just work in an Arrested Development reference? So incredibly brilliant! I love you guys!
Chelsea is such a great host. Please keep doing a rotation going. I think Zoran and Chelsea are a great addition and it really gives the show more development and character when others get a chance to shine! You guys are great I love you all!
Really? I don’t like zoran at all
@@user-pp9rj7yy3tsomeone’s not a fan of Bixby
@@user-pp9rj7yy3t I am the opposite I love zoran and don't like chelsea at all
I’d love to see Chelsea do a squid game kill count!
21:23 RIP James, eaten by Chelsea.
We finally get to see Chelsea cover kill counts again! I’m so glad to see her again on the kill count! The first time since American Psycho 2: All American Girl (2002) Kill Count in 2022.
Sai do fake orochi
As someone who has lived most of their life in the area where they filmed the bulk of the movie, I can assure you they didn’t have to do much digging to find all that wood paneling. I probably couldn’t swing a cat without hitting a home with some prevalent wood paneling.
Chelsea does a good job of kill count, it's like she's an interviewer, a full on 11/10 she's amazing.
2 Kill Counts in a row, I feel so lucky. Thanks Chelsea and everyone at Dead Meat. ❤
Omg the Arrested Development, "You're a Crook, Captain Hook" song got me. 😂 :: Chef's kiss::
7:08 it's among many clever jokes and puns that clearly had a bunch of work put into them that a stupid green screen explosion gag is what actually made me laugh out loud
James cut-off scream in that get to the numbers bit made me laugh more than it should’ve 😂
All of the little sound gags with each state card had me dying, and then the statistics song before the numbers??? genius editing on this
i dont know who edited this but im only half way through and im in tears. the tiny sully explosions. the tcm remake "OH". perfect. i love this stupid amazing hardworking channel
edit: just got to Minnesota. jfc this might be my new favourite kill count
edit 2: got to the credits. brava everyone!!!
Chelsea’s reactions from 17:32 to 17:46 are just gold
I thought I could only enjoy James hosting the kill count, but the ones I’ve watch of Chelsea’s are some of my favorites
Mark Rylance did a great job of portraying such a creepy, disconcerting character In this movie! Loving Chelsea’s Sully outfit 😂
"this whole movie smells like mildew" 😂 I love her understated humor.
Yessssss
Edit: you did not with Timmy’s statistics song at the end 😂😂😂 perfect
Chelsea being so dry throughout the whole count then suddenly screaming "BY GOD, THAT MAN HAD A FAMILY!" at the top of her lungs was a treat.
“These paintings suck!”
Me, who thought they looked quite nice: oh yeah horrible
Edit:
17:35 bro turned into a “nice guy”
Chelsea!!!!! I love seeing Mrs.Janisse doing kill counts!! I'd live to see a couple version of a kill count with maybe a couple killer movie
oh my gosh yes !! that sounds so cool
It seems like she didn’t inherit James’s surname in the marriage so it’s probably Mrs.Rebecca
@@nina__serafinanope, it’s her last name
@@nina__serafina No, it's her surname. She didn't take James' name in marriage.
@@nina__serafinano its not her middle name.
I have to say I love it when Chelsea Rebecca hosts DeadMeat!! Her sense of humor is just like mine, kind of sarcastic but funny at the at the same time. I wish she would host more because I'm laughing my ass off right now! This is one of the best kill counts ever😂❤
I got into Dead Meat because of the podcast so having Chelsea host a kill count over one of my favorite movies in recent memory is such a win
As an Ohioan, seeing that they filmed the whole amusement park scene at Strickers Grove was super cool. This is an amusement park my family & I visit yearly & I immediately recognized it.
this was the perfect movie for chelsea to host i love her so much
Chelsea kill count surprise?! What did we do to deserve this greatness once more? Loving the sponsored segments comedy more and more too. The jokes and surprise appearance of James had me laughing quite hard
This kill count is awesome! Dead meat never fails to brighten my day 🥰
Dead Meat is the only channel that gets me to happily watch the sponsered segment.
THE MO MO MO TOOK ME OUT. Excellent work on the state code editing and the humor is great!
"Which prepped him for this movie by giving him experience with Timothy Chalamét AND cannibalism"
THE WAY I DIED ☠️
Hope we get more Chelsea counts, all three have been incredible!
I was 100% convinced she was gonna say "This is not a mancave - it's a man's grave!" It's a teardown!
Love that you added one of little Timmy's mixes for the tally up lol
Lmao this channel has the most fun and creative ad sponsor cuts
Love James and Zoran but Chelsea episodes are my favorite!!! I always get so excited when she hosts the kill count 🎉
Nice job Chelsea! You’re good at this!
I hate how entertained I was by the city names. I genuinely gave a couple of giggles for such a simple bit.
It's always a pleasure to see Chelsea.
Does anyone else think Chelsea sounds like one of those movie theater ladies that come on before the trailers start? I like it though! It’s nice!
Chelsea's humour this episode is so on point! I laughed so hard throughout the video.
Have you ever eaten muttonbird? I did tonight; it's a seabird that's like dark turkey meat. Thank you, Tasmanian winter festival!
Oh and, Sully is the creepiest Stephen King character the author never wrote. Love this film.
This is always as much of a description I can give about timothee: "he's great"
The musical and sound cues throughout this episode are incredible and cracked me up. This is one of my favorite KCs for sure.
ITS NEVER DULLY WITH SULLY!!
Good to see Chelsea again! 18:54 made me audibly laugh at 2 in the morning
