First time Dimash sings in Japanese. The person who wrote the lyrics to this song said it was the most beautiful he had heard a foreigner sing in Japanese. Japanese reactors said it was perfect Japanese! The performance was live streamed to the Tokyo Jazz Festival.

В японском языке нет резких звуков как у нас или в английском, мне понравилась японского исполнителя на эту выступление Димаша, он сказал что исполненно в том числе и в произношении, идеально.

Regarding Dimash’s performance, a Japanese reactor said that Dimash’s Japanese pronunciation was perfect. It was as good as a native speaker’s. It shows how much of a perfectionist Dimash is and how many hours he must have spent on his pronunciation and delivery.
In addition, Goro Matsui, who wrote the lyrics to “Ikanaide” praised Dimash’s performance and said:
“I’ve heard ‘Ikanaide’ sung by foreign singers in their native language many times, but this is the first time anyone has sung it so beautifully in Japanese.
I happened to find Dimash singing “Ikanaide” by chance. The first thing that surprised me was his crystal clear tone and his expressiveness voice that conveys the lyrics of the song. I’ve heard other Asian singers sing “Ikanaide” in their native languages several times. However, even though they all sing great, none of them seemed to quite capture the sound/reverberation and meaning of the original lyrics/words, and perceive the emotions between the lines. In this song, the phrase ~ Ah, ikanaide~ is repeated several times in the chorus. Although they are the same exact words, each line has a different meaning. I feel that Dimash seems to know it.”
Interesting, someone else posted lyrics and they are not even close to the same, lol. This one actually makes more sense, but apparently it was used for a Japanese TV show? Maybe they changed the lyrics for the show...Curious!

This song was used as the title song for a Chinese-Japanese TV series Farewell, Lixianglan, about a Japanese woman Yoshiko Yamaguchi (12 February 1920-7 September 2014) born in China and accused of being spy and put on trial but eventually was set free and went to Japan, living a long and peaceful life.
In 1993, Hong Kong singer Jacky Cheung adapted it into Mandarin with the meaning of the song different from that of the original. He called it Late Autumn / Autumn Strong.
Dimash the Mandarin version (Autumn Strong) when he participated in the 2017 The Singer competition in China. He sang it in the Episode 4 of the competition and it was his first time singing Mandarin.

Here he sings in Japanese. In general, the song is based on real events, where a man and a woman from different countries: from China and Japan, having fallen in love with each other very much, were forced to be separated forever due to political conflict events between these countries. The song conveys their suffering from forced separation from each other. Dimash performed this song in Chinese in 2017 at the contest "I am a singer".

You said this song should be a back track for a movie. Many years ago I was watching a movie with Richard Greer and Winona Rider. They were walking through Central Park in the Fall. This was playing in the background. I didn’t know what it was or the name of it. When Dimash sang Autumn Strong on Singer, I was shocked. I remembered the melody from that movie. On Singer, Dimash sang the Chinese version with different lyrics. The lyrics talked about the falling leaves. He’s singing in Japanese in this one. I think I like this version the best. I don’t remember any sound tracks for movies but I remembered this one. I thought it was so sad…I still do. Dimash talks with his whole being. He does not only sing but he is able to go bryond a screens and headphones and in some way we all become one. His moves and his gestures mean a lot if not everything . This is a unique song. This is sung in Japanese. The first time we've heard him sing in this language, which makes it the 13th language we've heard him sing in, I believe. Japanese is the original language of this song by Koji Tamaki. You might remember his performance of Autumn Strong from the Singer 2017. Same song, except he sang that in Mandarin.

The song is in Japanese. I've watched a couple of Japanese reactors videos of this and they were amazed at how perfect his Japanese language was in this song. The song is the original version of the Chinese song "Autumn Strong that he performed on "The Singer 2017." This was live-streamed from his recording studio for the Tokyo Jazz Festival 2021 due to Covid restrictions. It is pronounced I-ka-ni-e-day and this video did have cc for Eng. subtitles. I watched the composer of this song, Koji Tamaki video of this song, and I have to say, Dimash has hi-jacked another song for his own. Dimash can cover any song and make it his own, but, I do not think anyone could cover a Dimash song and do it better.
