ah, animal crossing new horizons is taking over the world and its kinda weird that we all have plenty of time to play it… 24/7…
and yes, that is what I’m doing. being addicted to animal crossing.
i’ve never been ‚addicted’ to any game before and this animal crossing is my first one. i am all here for it!
Anyways, talking a bit about the video.
OHUHU reached out to me and sent me their 48 alcohol marker set and they are a great alternative to wayyy more expensive markers such as copics. OHUHU offers larger and smaller sets, such as 120 pack, skin tone pack etc etc.
i’m not a professional when it comes to markers but i’m happy how these two turned out. they aren’t perfect and i don’t really like them but they turned out better than i thought. i’m rambling… so, if you like to try these markers, check em out!

Sugar flower there is a version on wii, animal crossing city folk, and that literally was my 2015. If you have a wii, you can maybe try to get it. But the mobile version isn’t bad :)

I'm not a pro either but here are some tips for the alcohol markers!
- letting it dry fully helps prevent bleeding of the colours
- they blend best when both colours are like wet? idk how to explain haha like not fully dry?
-browns and light browns are good for definition
-the more layers of one colour may mean darker than it originally was

Hey I've just started using alchohol markers, these tops look really useful! One thing I can't do though--how do you colour in a block colour without getting the streaks? Like darker lines in areas.. :)
@@alicbee8829 depending on the brand, sometimes you get no streakiness and some you do, tends to happen with darker colours unfortunately :(
@@katietalks4639 awh that's a shame, which brand would you recommend? I use promarkers cause that's the only one I can find to buy near where I live. Could it be the paper I'm using aswell?
AlikButtwr typical alcoholic paper not sure what type but it needs to be thick! And I use ohuhu, cheap on amazon and they have good quality stuff etc, promarkers are pretty good too :)

it’s also so,fascinating to see you thing it! Love to watch art videos and the most interesting part is always the sketching part. It’s just so mind blowing how some people can just come up with some stuff and make the sketch look like a masterpiece itself already,,, like???? Just FYI for the future: when you can see a marker through the other side of a sheet of paper it is called ghosting not bleeding. Bleeding is when the ink gets transferred from that page over to another. Hope this helped!

hey!! i wanna give u some tips on alcohol based markers 🤍🤍 ok so, usually mixed media is something you don’t want to use with markers as the grain and texture in the paper sucks up ink super fast, leading to a marker drying up much quicker than if u used paper like cardstock or bristol board ✨ bristol board and marker paper also prevents bleeding and ghosting of ink 🤍 i recommend daler rowneys bristol board or manga paper!!

No means to start a fight @tvs But mixed media paper is actually fine its the watercolor paper you want to avoid my friend uses these markers to and has been using that brand of mixed media for years and she still has the same set so its not mixed media it is watercolor i can prove but showing you my stupidest of buying water color paper lol.

I just take advantage of my sister and use her switch which has Animal Crossing on it.
I also use Ohuhu markers, got them for Christmas
They’ve been great so far. I haven’t used brush tip alcohol markers in a while,
And from my experience, better than Copics. Now, the copics I got might have been defective or something, but they leaked a lot
These have yet to do that, blend ok, and have really vibrant colours

A tip on alcohol markers: don't use mix media paper!! Use bristol paper you will see a biiiig difference. my favorite brand of bristol paper is strathmore!!

The ohuhu markers are great, but from my experience, they don't last long. Mine only lasted around a month or two before they started to dry out.
Hmm weird. I got mine for Christmas and they still work
It also can be because of the paper, I don't personally have the Ohuhu's ones, I have the brushmarkers from winsor and newton, but a friend of mine happens to have them. Ususally if You use Layout paper, the markers should last a bit longer than the common paper that almost drinks the alcohol of the marker.
I use ohuhu bc I can't afford copics... heh.. Ohuhu is very good for its price tho!
