Conner has to go he isn’t made for the post season just like Marner. Ehlers stays he has to go first line. Don Cherry said when he was coaching he started prepping for the post season during preseason.
I definitely would not mind Todd Nelson behind the bench. In Hershey, they lost one game against the phantom and he benched Matthew Phillips just to make some changes. It didn't need to be done and the aggressiveness about it would be a great change of pace from Bones making no changes

Until the franchise has a organizational vision & identity, talking about coaches, line combos & prospects is pointless.
Every year in the playoffs we see that the Jets organization is clueless about putting together a true team that plays with purpose. Boston & Carolina seem to always punch above their weight for this reason. Boston has Charlie Coyle & Pavel Zacha as its 1C & 2C for Pete's sake!
I really want our team to call up McGroarty & Lambert, trade Ehlers for Buffalo's 11th pick (draft Adam Jiricek) & trade Kyle Connor, Cole Perfetti & a future pick for a top 4 pick (draft my guy Michael Misa). McGroarty, Lambert, Jiricek, Misa & Vilardi are the core players you want to build our team around for the next 10 years. Get a coach like Stan Tugokulov from the Stars to coach our team & sign some championship winning vets for depth & to teach our young core how to win & we'll be good.
