- We all think that having a Pokémon in the real world would be great, right? Well there are many burdens that come with owning a Pokémon that many don't take into consideration. I'll be going over my top 10 worst Pokémon to have as pets in the real world.

Keeping Goomy in a dark, damp environment is literally how you take care of any snail, but yeah, I wouldn’t wanna worry about the little guy getting lonely or drying out either.

The problem with Magikarp is that one wrong move, and you’ve got an angry Gyrados in your house.
Don't make the Magikarp mad or he's gonna evolve into a giant sea serpent. Also doesn't Gyrados go on a murderous rampage when it's mad.
@@chadgorosaurus4898There’s a more immediate problem. Magikarp jump ridiculously high into the air, especially when spooked. Best case scenario, it slams into the ceiling and conks itself out. Worst case scenario, it breaks the through the ceiling and soars into the nearest mountain range.
@@mayborneflower You forget the main issue with that. Imagine the strengh required to do that. So not only does it crash into the nearest mountain but it also leave a big ass hole where your house was. Truly horifying.
I always thought they abandoned their rockruff because it evolved and was no longer "cute" (Lycanroc is cute and I will die on that hill) which would be a cruel reference to things that happen in real life.

I think one of the worst Pokémon to have as a pet would be Shuppet. It feeds off of negative emotions so if you aren’t depressed all the time it’ll die from starvation.

Wouldn't evolving Rockruff into Lycanroc curb its aggression, since it does get more aggressive as it gets closer to evolution, and once it evolves, its not that much bigger than a Great Dane, only concern is that it shows affection by rubbing you with the mane of rock around its neck

Goomy is subjectively the best pokémon to have. not only is it adorable and calm, it’s not considered a strong pokémon. thus, it cannot do much damage to you. in the XY anime, there was a scene where the goomy dried out. but after that, it had learned rain dance. thus, it can hydrate itself. in humid environments, especially around tropics where it rains often. i don’t care what you say rogue i will keep my goomy you cannot stop me i love him and you cannot take him away from me i love goomy stay away from my boy

WTF IS A GOOMY.... surprisingly I actually open Pokemon packs on my UA-cam channel I've opened close to 1,000 packs and I like to think I know a thing or two about the newer Generations but I had no idea what Goomy was???? There are so many strange newer Pokemon in modern times compared to the first three generations

In the case of gloomy, there are many reptile species that need constant moisture, so there are tools to keep a cage moist. You can also use hides to offer the Pokémon shade, as well as putting some moss in the cage too to make it feel more at home like a damp forest or swamp.
Espurr is worth it. Something about that blank lifeless stare, just adorable
I think the biggest issue with Magikarp, besides the risk of it becoming a Gyarados, is how the species is known for jumping ridiculously high with either Splash or Bounce. You are gonna be lucky if all it does is crack your ceiling and knock itself out.
I’d choose Slowpoke. He’s a very cute lazy boy who’s basically just a couch potato who won’t need much care. If he gets mad, he won’t remember what he’s mad about. Also his tail naturally falls off for free food that’s apparently tasty!

Worst pet would probably be Dialga, and not just from power. Every waking moment will be “Dormamu I’ve come to bargain”
As of Pokémon I would want, it would be Mew. It’s my favorite Pokémon, and I think that it would actually be a good pet even if it can learn every TM. It seems quite friendly and able to control its power, making it safe to be around!
Mew is canonically a pacifist which is a good point in its favour
I personally would like Espeon as a pet. It would make a great pet, and a weather reporter.
But Sylveon is better. I know, it has feelers and it terrifies at the night, but still it's also feline and does understand your feelings

I'd say Magcargo is probably the worst but when it comes to Pokemon that look like they'd be good pets, I'd say Spoink. Mostly because whenever you try to snuggle with it or pick it up, or sleep alongside it, it fucking dies.

Despite what you think, Hypnos would've been great to have in the real life.
It all really depends on the way you use them.
They can be used by doctors as an alternative to anesthesia without side effects besides sleepiness.
Used by psychologists to see what caused a psychological trauma or anything about psychology.
I would also love to have him as a roommate because he's fluffy and cute.
You don't even need to buy food for it, Hypno eats dreams ( those that people have when they sleep ).
Technically new would be the worst pokemon pet. Although it's cute, just remember in journeys it shows it can transform into any pokemon and can learn any move.

I like to think of a Parasect just casually causing an pandemic, I would assume other pokemon and humans gained a resistance to the spores over time, but if we took it to a whole new world...

Look I love Drampa but I would never have it as a pet because it would destroy people who make fun of me and I wouldn't want that.

Aw, I think you're being a little harsh on Rattata. Sure, you'd have to make sure to keep plenty of chew toys around, but that's just normal for keeping rodents. And the dex says Alolan Rattata will even help you pick out ingredients if you take it shopping with you. Like, that's absolutely adorable.
Anyway, a couple interesting picks you probably wouldn't want that weren't covered: Stufful is another Pokémon who's dangerously strong, and doesn't particularly like being touched; Bayleef's scent just straight up makes you want to fight; Deino is blind and will literally tackle and bite things to learn what they are; and, of course, there's the recently-revealed Greavard, which has the very ghost-type tendency of inadvertently sucking away your life energy.
They look aggressive
I thought charizard would’ve been #1 cus it’s tail is a hazard and if you piss it off it will probably burn down ur house. And people will beat you up for saying your favorite Pokémon is charizard.
Also if the flame ever goes out, it dies.
Gible might sound like a good pet, but its pokedex entry stated that if you live with one, your heating bill will SOAR. Not only do i NOT have the money for that, but I'm bad with the heat already
As for ones i would want,
Wooloo and Melmetal. Simple.
Wooloo has the fluffiest wool known to man, so i can just sleep on it, and melmetal can create iron out of NOTHING. i can literally ask it to make a sword for me and *boom.*

While I disagree with putting Eevee here, this is a good list.
Another reason why Goomy wouldn't be a good pet is because of Sliggoo's behavior if the Dex entries are to be believed. They'll attack and eat anything due to being blind. Lastly, each member of its evolution line is slimy, sticky, and gooey, with Goodra producing the most slime or mucus. That's gonna result in clothes needing to be washed a lot.
Magikarp makes sense mostly due to Gyarados. If it evolves, the first issue is its size. Where would you keep it? Yes, we have Poké Balls, but still. Then, there's the aggression. Sure, there was an episode in the Orange Islands where a giant Magikarp evolved to protect the tanned Nurse Joy, then when it faced her, it was friendly. However, they are known for their capacity for destruction.
I'm assuming the reason Rockruff becomes aggressive is because its a wolf cub rather than a puppy. Lycanroc are wolf Pokémon.
One thing that I don't believe is talked about when discussing potential pets is whether or not pet allergies exist in the Pokémon world. Ideally, they don't, but it's never brought up anywhere to my knowledge. If it's brought up in the manga, please let me know. If someone is allergic to rabbits in our world, they could be allergic to rabbit Pokémon like Lopunny, Cinderace, Azumarill, and Diggersby.
As for Pokémon that I would list as bad ideas for pets, I would say:
1) Munchlax and especially Snorlax
-They eat so much that it would get costly. Evolution would make the cost significantly increase. Then there's the matter of size and weight. Where would you keep it? Again, we have Poké Balls, but still.
2) Fire-type Pokémon, more so those with a constantly burning flame like Charmander
-Scientists would need to build an apparatus for each stage of the evolution line for certain Fire types. For the Charmander line as an example, this device would be worn on the tail. It would need to keep the flame from going out. It would need to make sure the flame doesn't come into contact with anything that can cause forest fires, brush fires, building fires, and so on. Then, it would need to not hinder movement for the Pokémon so that it's not a complete inconvenience to wear.
3) Grimer and Muk, specifically the Kantonian regional variants
-They smell terribly and are highly toxic. It would be hazardous and probably lethal to be around.
4) the Litwick evolution line
-They drain the life force of others as fuel for their ghostly flames.
There IS a manga story that deals with allergies in fact! But it's to a plant. Kaede from How I Became A Pokémon Card is allergic to flowers, which includes her own Gloom, who has to carry around a tissue box.

I definitely agree with Eevee not deserving to be on the list. I don't think mutations such as an Eevee beginning to look like its trainer are common/prominent enough to matter. For example, it'd be like you and a sibling having similar eyes. It wouldn't drastically change the Eevee's appearance. Also, occurrences of Eevees mutating due to something that is not an element stone seem very uncommon (also bidoof should also be on the list, mf eats your house)
why not just dump liquids on the fire types and the fiery problem is solved 👍
@@wesleyrobledoOnyt Because it might have a negative effect on their health, specifically their ability to regulate their body temperature. Certain Fire types(for example, Charmander) might have flames that are constantly lit because it helps regular their temperatures as well as burning excess energy.
We need an updated version with gen 9 included as my answer for the worse pokemon to have in real life would be any member of the Tinkaton line. They'd probably rip all the metal out of your walls, appliances and destroy your car (if you have one) to build a massive hammer, at least it'd have a weapon ready if anyone breaks into my home

Nice Eevee quip, by the way. And this is coming from someone who has Eevee as a Top 5 fave. You should write your own creepypasta with that idea. Who cares if the fire for creepypasta writing died out - or at least dimmed - a decade or so ago. The joke's so cringingly absurd, it's hilarious and deserves its own full story. All part of its charm

About the Phanpy situation, the pokedex has gotten EVEN WORSE in scarlet and Violet, with it mentioning that when the trunk hits your arm, YOUR ARM BONE SHATTERS! Like, just that dex entry alone makes me super upset that I can’t keep a Phanpy as a pet at all because I don’t want my arms breaking! 😢

To be fair to Eevee, it starting to look similar/like it’s trainer is probably more similar to dogs and their humans as often times there are dogs and humans that look alike. But that’s just my interpretation of the pokedex entry
Yeah that’s my interpretation of it too. Like your eevee will have the same eye colour and hair colour or if you have curly hair it’s fur will become curly etc
I think a good choice would be Meowth. It's a cat that spawns gold coins. Also Growlithe it being a fire type is pretty risky but they are super loyal and friendly. They also evolve with a fire stone so unless there's a fire stone equivalent in our world it is going to be a puppy forever.
Now we just need what is the best Pokémon for real life without destroying the environment
Honestly, I wouldn’t care about Eevee mutating since more likely than not it would evolve into an Umbreon via Friendship before any big changes are caused by it’s unstable genes, and even if it stays as an Eevee, while Eevee’s face is supposed to resemble it’s trainer’s face after a while, I’d probably not see much of a difference due to my face already being extremely similar to Eevee’s base expression.
Let's not forget about Goldeen breaking the fish tank with it's horn and just... dying.
I'd say Charmander is one of the worst because if my clumsy ass drops coca cola on it, it fucking dies.

Well, since Espurr is my favourite Pokemon I would want it as a pet IRL. And what if he is like a mini bomb, just raise it well and it won't become a weapon of mass destruction. There was in the anime a lady that had like 3 of them, if she can handle 3 at a time without whipping humanity, then so can I. Maybe, probably. Espurr is the cutest thing ever though and I am not sorry.
Houndour, imagine it sneezing on you, cause dogs do that, but it spits fire and burns your leg ever so slightly. The dex talks about how it and houndooms fire leave burns that never stop hurting
any part of the charmander line is a terrible option because they are literally always on fire and could burn down your house at any second (same goes for all other pokémon that are always on fire)
I, honestly, would love having a cute shiny gibble or dratini. Any cool baby shiny mon I would keep as a pet… unless it could do some pretty messed up stuff.

Dratini is cute, except for the fact its 5'11 in length WHEN ITS BORN. and it sheds its skin EVERY DAY to grow larger, so every day you come home from work, you have to deal with near 6 foot of dragon skin a day. but at least its not very dangerous.
Gible, while it does talk about its bites, it doesn't seem to attack a trainer it trusts, but I can take a single pokedex entry (ultra moon) to summarise why you shouldn't get it.

Any of the reptile or lizard pokemon could be hard to care for. Possibly except treeco, if its like one of the common pet geckos.
If we go with how Ash's rockruff's arc went, them getting aggresive the older they get is probably 1.- just a grumpy old dog 2.- they need to evolve, when Ash evolved his he became a good pupper again, and it the dex it's mentioned that the midday form can be a loyal pokemon that will never betray you if trained from a young age, and dusk form is so harmless it doesn't even bark (unless in a pokemon battle). The midnight form however, it's extremely disobedient if you don't show you are a strong trainer, so make sure to evolve your angry dawg at day xD.

Any pokemon would be a bad idea. simple tackles are shown to dent metal and break pretty sturdy things and stagger or topple large mons heavier than cars. You could be walking down the road or minding your own business on a bench or just anything outdoors and a happy little Eevee that's just running and hopping along and wouldn't be paying attention and probably tackle you right in the chest shattering your ribs and making a lung or both rupture.

also i think eevee would evolve semi-randomly, rather then mutating in the way you said, even if it did... i wonder if an everstone would halt that phenomenon somehow...
i would not want Vigoroth based on it's gen 3 pokedex entries. i copy/pasted them below in case you're interested
Ruby: Vigoroth is always itching and agitated to go on a wild rampage. It simply can't tolerate sitting still for even a minute. This Pokémon's stress level rises if it can't be moving constantly.
Sapphire: Vigoroth is simply incapable of remaining still. Even when it tries to sleep, the blood in its veins grows agitated, compelling this Pokémon to run wild throughout the jungle before it can settle down.
Emerald: It can't keep still because its blood boils with energy. It runs through the fields and mountains all day to calm itself. If it doesn't, it can't sleep at night.
Fire Red/Leaf Green: It is always hungry because it won't stop rampaging. Even while it is eating, it can't keep still.
Darkrai would be the worst one because yknow, it kills things that sleep, if you were to have a darkrai it would kill you
It doesn’t do it on purpose though. It’s often referred to as a defence mechanism (at least from what I heard and saw in the Darkrai movie).
I would get a greninja. I mean, it has water moves so it doesn’t need to hydrate, it has pretty good self control when tamed, and, I can beat the hell out of anyone. It’s the perfect Pokémon!

Pretty much every legendary Pokémon would be a bad pet to have, girantina is the devil, groudon and kyogre have caused actual devastation on hoenn and then there’s eternatus, where do i begin with it, its giant, causes pokemon to be giant, reeks hzvoc across the entire region, bends space, have you seen its stat distribution, it’s a literal monster, requires the assistance of two other legendary pokemon to even deal any damage to it, its final form is literally just a massive hand of death. But on the plus side its a dragon and will scare away all the other pets
If I could bring one Pokémon to reality? Arkuus-I mean Arceus because it’ll just bring Pokémon to reality in general.

i think ditto would actually be one of the worst to have irl because it only transforms into the pokemon it’s in battle with or in the anime when the pokemon is in front of it, instead of having any pokemon you’d want you’d have a pokemon that could turn into any person, including you

For the worst pet id probably say electrode, and the reason is that I don't need one, he is a litteral bomb. and he can control what he does to, it's a bomb that can choose when to explode. This thing will kill you at all costs. And as evidence that It wants to kill you, if you search "what's the most aggressive pokemon" electrode is one of the top 5 results. THIS THING WANTS TO KILL YOU AND COULD DO SO EXTREMELY EASILY
But you may defend it by saying "oh well to kill you it would need to kill itself"
and to that I say: NOT ONLY IT IS WILLING TO DO THAT (in the games it almost always used an explosion move first turn) BUT IT CAN LEARN THUNDER BOLT AND MANY OTHER MOVES TO KILL YOU WITHOUT KILLING ITSELF, AND HOW DO YOU EXPECT TO SURVIVE THUNDER BOLT?!?
I don’t think Electrode is _that_ aggressive, tbh. The episode, ‘What You Seed is What You Get’, comes to mind. There was an Electrode in that one that never exploded or used Thunderbolt once. The only move it used in the whole episode was Rollout, and it was against Team Rocket, so it was deserved, lol.
Electrode doesn’t even kill itself when it explodes. In the games, it just faints; in the anime, it can keep exploding again and again. But in ‘The Underground Round-Up’, it’s mentioned that doing so tires them out. :’)
In that episode, they were also exploding because they were stressed out. They eventually stopped once they were brought somewhere where they were more relaxed.
Maybe I’m a bit biased for defending Electrode though, because it’s my favourite Pokémon, lol.

Someone oughta turn that into a horror game. Also another pokemon that’d be an awful pet is Ninetales. I know people that want foxes. Oh sure, they look pretty, but either version you get is either gonna keep summoning a bright ball of fake sun, or just cause a localized snowstorm in your house. And they’re VERY smart too. You already know how normal pets can be unpredictable at times, you want one of these foxes to be moody? And speaking of, fox pee is NOT a pleasant smell
