Just a caution about your ice, never scoop with a glass container, if it breaks you won't be able to find the pieces and will have to do a complete empty and clean. Also consider that any contamination on your scoop will get into the ice and grow. So dipping into it with your hands or a container that has sat on the floor will start your bacteria load in the ice machine. If you are going to use the ice in drinks or have it come in contact with your food please take some precautions. Love you guys!
Oh Tell Miss Lily I'm sorry she lost her Penguin. That's so sad. ♡🌹♡ You took such good care of her. With out that special care her disability might have caused her to die sooner. You're a good hearted kido. ✨😊✨
I love your videos so much that it inspires my dad and I to buy a 500 acre land and raise chickens, goats, sheep’s, pigs/hogs, Cattle/cow and many other livestock
😱😱😱. You call it polar plunge but for me it was a nerve therapy after breaking neck and back and learning to walk again. How special the day when no longer needed a crane to lift me in and after months I’d take tiny steps again. But the WHOLE body felt so good. What an amazing way to honor two amazing pigs knowing in many ways they are giving you and the precious land. Maybe the boys or Lilly could make a sign so they’d never be forgotten generations to come. We had raised a dog with our chickens and she became their guardian sleeping at night to protect them. Amazing what a goose can do though. Sorry Justin but we raised milking goats and WE fought for the amazing fresh peach ice cream and all the cheese and yogurt too. And trade for cream from neighbors cows. I still use my gramps old seeder for cover crops on my small plot of what’s my piece of heaven. Love Love being part of YOUR journey and may it last FOREVER ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I am so enjoying watching you and your family care and raise your own healthy food. I grew up on a beef and grain farm and always begged my Dad to get chickens but he said no lol I am really enjoying seeing how you raise them. My spring job was to raise the bottle lambs (we had about 200 sheep before he changed to beef cows) and my Dad let me keep a lamb and by the time i graduated i had a flock of about 30 very tame sheep. I left home and sold them to a family whos kids belonged to 4H club. May your family be blessed and safe!
That ice machine will need to be cleaned and filtered so much! In an Inside environment its cleaner but down there .ake sure you're cleaning at least once a week to prevent mold and grossness
I remember hearing that Thomas Jefferson took daily iced foot baths and occasional plunges and attributed that and walking his horse rather than riding to his good health and longevity. Very cool that your keeping with long held Virginia traditions. 😉
Doing our best to grow our own produce and get into raising some poultry to aid in our cooking show, youre videos are such a help with guiding us into easing into things.
@13:30 Get a time lapse shot of the pulps in the evening and you can not only entertain us but you can gain useful data about how they interact with the turkey-shaw. Perhaps such footage might suggest improvements that may be helpful.
Hey folks, love to watch your family and how you all work together for the cause... I’m looking for a great ice cream maker what brand is yours very interested your ice cream looks so smooth and I can taste it in my mind every time you make it...(less calories too...lol)
Just a suggestion... the way we remove the hair from our pigs in Puerto Rico is two ways. 1. Hot water and shave the pig with very sharpened knife; 2. Butn the hair with a torch (fastest way).
Man such a busy week! Justin have you thought about sending soil samples off to see how tons of lime per acre you need? You can do it through you local extion office and its not that much.
You and your family are so inspiring I can't wait for your videos everyday. I look forward to the fun and the knowledge you guys share thank you for sharing your life with me😘 ❤️ Big Hugs an God Bless
I could say you rascals, scoundrels and whatever for not inviting me to the ice cream social but it would have all melted by the time I could come from PA. Oh man I gotta love that Lilly I know of no girl milking cows at her age. Lilly be careful not to get arms like old Popeye. If you do not know popeye he was a cartoon character with really big forarms and little skinny upper arms till he ate his spinach. Maybe you should eat your spinach too. Lol.
A RAMP for your turky-shaw if you examined you footage of Joel's turkey roost you will find you have overlooked access ramps perhaps folding from across the Handel's with 3/8 battens 3" apart as steps .
It could be because his perches/ledges start much higher, but I'm definitely watching and making sure they can get up there. They were jumping to higher spots inside the brooder though. We'll see.
G/day Justin see your farm was coming along really nice, Love the pigs & chicken. Did I see you putting eggshells back for the chicken to eat I know some people say it's ok but it could start them eating their own eggs alright for the chicken that do not lay eggs? I watch 5 Homestead Video and it is lovely to watch them see how things go with each other.
Having that ice machine in the basement will run up your electricity bill like crazy in the summer, might wanna put it in your house. Maybe near the ice chests.
Rebekah, would an immersion blender work easier for you to mix cocoa powder with the cream? ... really enjoyed watching this video and appreciate how hard you all work together. Amazing your close and loving family and you still are able to enjoy life as you take care of businesses
hey love your vids keep up the good work wend i first watch you i fell in love with this channel.you have brave kids they younger than me and they can butcher animals i dont like to see dead
It was a short sleep shirt, but good question. I've gone shirtless before and if anything the recovery with clothing is more difficult because it doesn't dry as fast.
Because one flock is servicing the kitchen garden, the other flock is making compost and the other flock is going behind the cows eat fly larvae and spreading their manure and the meat chicken flock is fertilizing poorer parts of cow pasture.
Your children are raised so well. Your son is so very astute, his training and knowledge shows.
You are so kind

cocoa powder will blend into a warm or hot mixture the best. small amounts like you were doing. immersion blender works best

Makes my day seeing these vids
Love Jonah’s critical thinking
46 degrees! You go girl! I have Hashimotos too. I’m seriously considering this as well.
I remember hearing that Thomas Jefferson took daily iced foot baths and occasional plunges and attributed that and walking his horse rather than riding to his good health and longevity. Very cool that your keeping with long held Virginia traditions. 😉
"We do this for a reason we aren't crazy" I think it's both. It's hard to stay sane with children

Wow ur son Jonah can help u how old is he..yes but all ur kids is funny..I love this a big help to parents..God bless fr. OMAN
Would you consider blending the flocks, so one goose for both. My turkeys hang out free range while my chickens are in tractor, they act as my goose.
LOVE your channel buddy. One of my favorite families vlogs. Thanks for everything you do!
Glad you enjoy it!

Hi mate what's the time there its 18.25 in Hungary
After the plunge Rebecca is in a tank top and Justin chose a long sleeved shirt. Do you find one of you recovers quicker than the other?
It was a short sleep shirt, but good question. I've gone shirtless before and if anything the recovery with clothing is more difficult because it doesn't dry as fast.
Hi Justin!! Big Fan
Teddy looks fake he is so cute!
Can you show us the last years Christmas tree
It's so so orange and dead.
Lily is a milking machine
Have you tried growing squash like pumpkin and butternut?
Every year we do this.
I didn’t see Rebecca gardening and the chicks in yesterday’s videos
That's why we put it in today's video.
What a “cool” ending! 😉
nice
Love the vids

Were did you buy the mox for the grass please
Nature Seed
Hey Man!
Thank you for taking my advice about using the tub with ice near the house
What breed are your guard geese
Roman Tufted.
I wish I was there thanks posting that video very very helpful
RIP Penguin
I liked and subribed
Why all the separate flocks? Why can't they be in the same nets??
Because one flock is servicing the kitchen garden, the other flock is making compost and the other flock is going behind the cows eat fly larvae and spreading their manure and the meat chicken flock is fertilizing poorer parts of cow pasture.
Hi
Rip penguin
What kind of goose do you have
Roman Tufted
