honest question, who the hell cares if their fingers are slightly bent and not in line? The fashion designer? The stage manager? Or the audience? Who else aside from the people who are enforcing the details like these?

Everyone cares. You're not strolling in the park. You're walking on the runway. Good posture, arm, hip and leg movements are extremely important to show off the designer's clothes, to ensure your body line is as thin as possible to make the clothes look its best. Even small details such as not showing your palms too much can differentiate good models from bad ones as it could possibly distract the audience from the clothes the model is wearing - which is the entire point of a fashion show. That's why not everyone can be models.
