I’ve watched boxing for 45 years. Floyd was the most perfect fighter I’d ever seen. He had it all: skill, athleticism, toughness, smarts. I’d probably pick him against any at 135 ever, even against Bud or Duran. At 140 I’ve got to go with Aaron Pryor, but Floyd is right there. But at 147? It’s Bud Crawford. Best I’ve ever seen. It’s not a good era so you can’t celebrate his opponents much. But here’s the one guy about as smart as Floyd, about as quick, but Bud is much stronger, hits with more power and has a more versatile skill set. And dude loves to fight, loves to knock people out.
The only thing you forgot is DEFENSE and that wins CHAMPIONSHIPS in ALL SPORTS. Floyd's defense/ counter punching as well as foot speed beat Crawford in a decision.
