"Modest threat" for the flying gunships - my squad and I had NINE of them on us at once and it was a bloodbath. We've never lost a mission quicker.
That's what I was thinking.. flying enemies add a whole new dimension for gameplay, and one that can punish you pretty bad if you get caught off guard. I feel like the air burst rocket launcher will definitely be a strong pick in strategems if you know there will be ships or shriekers
Yeah if you let them keep spawning gunships will quickly get out of hand.
I know how u feel but it was like 11 for me and we didn’t have quasar or rockets that could drop them
I remember one time we called for extraction and I was the last helldiver alive without reinforcements left and I had 6 on me while I took cover behind a rock and somehow I survived and got extracted. if the factories are not taken care of they become a major threat for the mission.
I did an SOS on hard, all my teamates were >10 and we were just being swarmed by about 5 of them, many lives were lost that day...
I like in how in the demonstration clip for the DMR, he says it "shreds bots" the whole while dumping a bottomless mag into a small squad of medium bad guys to no effect
Yea that’s what I was thinking, it took multiple clips and still didn’t kill them all that was in front of em. I think I’ll stick to my green sniper if I want range.
With 80 damage it should two tap headshot Devastators.
Pretty damn good considering how much ammo you get, firerate and medium armor piercing. It'll replace the Diligence for many people for sure.
Yeah I hope they actually tweak some of the guns we have already. I feel like a lot of the content just kinda becomes junk because it’s just not effective or fun to use.

He was shooting at berserkers, even the dominator doesn’t shred them, it was pretty reliably one or two tapping the normals tho so it’ll be a very reliable primary
If the Eruptor can indeed kill Chargers and other elites, it would be glorious paired with Stalwart, MGs, Laser Cannon, Arc Thrower and Flamethrower.

Even stalwart, while have allmost no armor penetration, kills chargers and dismantels his leg armor if you shoot a leg from behind. Also I see absolutely no reason to add such the gun into the game if its unable to dismantle chargers armor.
@@ardour1587 it's not about hitting the legs from behind, the leg armour bugs out during and briefly after a charge and flickers back and forth from armored to unarmored flesh, any weapon can kill chargers during this time, the eruptor isn't capable of deplating armor itself
Getting the Cyborgs as a sub faction would be cool. I’m hoping they’ll add more beyond the Illuminate down the line.
Would love to see some battles with like super earth humans who didn’t wanna fight for democracy or something along those lines

6:23 the laser weapon here is the replacement for the rover gun. the rover drone used the Scythe model before last patch, and now the rover uses this new model for its laser weapon.

I actually love that a lot of the teases and stuff are done outside of the game. It's kind of like an augmented reality experience that brings the game outside of just the game. We are Helldivers both in game and without, and the community has been leaning into that with the RP, and this stuff helps sell that.

Neither is the Knight he mentioned, but it kinda looks like it's a secondary based on size of the weapon

By the by, airburst is not a anti air exclusive term. what you are seeing is a cluster rocket, not a flak burst rocket. That it kills a tank is telling about its multiplicative explosions, which are further seen in how the rocket scatters bomblets.
Its a handheld cluster bomb launcher. Basically a downgrade from the eagle version that takes up a backpack slot. Might be fun to blast bug breaches on lower difficulties but I don't see this thing being viable for most content.

I’m hoping that at some point we can get a new backpack stratagem that’s basically just a belt feeding ammo can for machine guns. Like, you put it on, reload your machine gun, and then you don’t have to reload it again, increases its reserve ammo and maybe adds a heat management mechanic instead of reloading. The MG43 and HMG suffer so much from stationary reloading, and you gotta run a supply pack as well to keep them fed. Even if you’re running a supply pack you’re only going to be able to use the weapon in a fight up until the end of that first belt, and only if you’re able to get enough space will you be able to reload and keep shooting, which is a huge gamble, now that the bots are gone and it’s nothing but bugs now, constantly rushing you and swarming your position. Plus, it’s a bit of a waste to run supply pack just to keep your machine gun fed, when it also supplies stims and grenades, and if you’re hogging up all the boxes on your pack, it isn’t serving its intended purpose. A backpack stratagem that looks something like what the Heavy Gunner class in Synthetik and Synthetik 2 would be perfect. Something to make machine guns more viable without wasting supply pack charges.

it's possible that winchester style rifle won't be avalible as a primary or strategem, but as an environmental pickup like the break action, a frontier gun given to colonists to defend themselves, basically, a high power support style rifle found in the world, i think that could be neat, adds a bit more to the environment
while this might be cool, I hope it's not true. I kinda hate that there are weapons that we can't pick up.
Or at least, that we as players do not get a military variant of it, if not the civilian-variant.
@DatAsianGuy to clarify, it would be usable, you'd pick it up like the break action in this scenario and it would be a common spawn at points of interest

Having to look for the weapon, instead of being able to just equip it before helldiving just sucks imo.
so I hope we get a military variant of these civilian weapons.
like how the AR-15 as an example is the civilian version of the m4 platform.
@DatAsianGuy that'd be an option, why not both? Big military support shotgun as a stategem akin to a souped up break action, military lever action long range sniper to go with civilian defence rifle.
Several of the leaked video points showed some extremely interesting things. A new version of the liberator, another long-barrel marksman rifle in addition to the eruptor. Anti-Tank mines is the actual name, shows up in the top left of the leak video.
That’s the patriot from helldivers one, it’s a carbine liberator with an extremely high ROF.
So we finally get Contitutions. This thing be rounds reload, old game have 5 round when full magazine. Sadly it don't have bayonet like hd1, because this thing is only maskman rifle have bayonet
Another content suggested to just load ammo for you using the back pack you equip. So instead of having the person equip the backpack and reload the back pack and gun is equipped by one person and all the assist person does is grab the next ammo from the pack
I like this a LOT more. Allows everyone to assist while not messing up their load out

Yeah they need to do this, im level 50 and ive literally never seen nor used a team reload 😂
@@theFORZA66 the team reload is super useful only if 2 divers pick the same support. Me and a buddy did a duo recoiless and we'd still go all stealth with bots but when ever there was a bot drop we'd take turns and down the 4-5 ships on helldive difficulty who ever had more ammo in the pack
I suggested this same thing to my buddy awhile back, nobody is going to carry an ammo pack for a gun they arent even using just to awkwardly load someone else's AT
Hellbucks was an april fools joke. This should have been obvious with a minor bit of digging.
The weapon plasma looks like a one handed weapon. That would be great with the ballistic shield. The « not finished laser » is already in the game, the Rover dog has changed and the handle disappeared, like the model displayed

he didnt throw the thermite grenade at the head or the legs.... thats why it didnt do anything. i guarantee this grenade at least strips the armor from the legs, and maybe just maybe kills it if you stick it to the head, if you knew how thermite worked or the weak points of the enemy lmao.

My hope, is that with all these different statagems and weapons is eventually we'll get more specialized missions where specific stratagems really shine.
The problem with this is their already set in stone with the HD1 model where certain stratagems are better against the different factions.
For example the shield backpack sucked against bugs but was great vs cyborgs whereas the medic pack sucked vs bots since they usually 2/3 shot you without the shield.
At 6:15 I need to point out that the "Mk" in the "Marita Mk. 1" rifle from Starship Troopers is pronounced "Mark" (as in the first version, fully labeled as version / mark 1).
At this point there's been so many leaks.They almost have to be controlled.

Looked for me like it has a maximum Range, which really isnt something i want from a Rocketlauncher.
For the energy based weapon we saw at 6:36 it's just a remodeled version of the scythe for the rover guard dog, it's in game right now as before it was just a literal scythe strapped to it.
Cyborgs and the Illuminate?! Holy shit!
I think the fact that they let bots get wiped out means that Illuminate are coming almost immediately.
Off-topic: Wouldn't mind seeing battles aboard ships. Obviously, that'd make for limited stratagems, but some boarding action would be pretty cool.
Oooor the messages the bots were sending out of the galaxy means there is a fleet headed to Cyberstan.
Yeah my idea is that they let us wipe out the bots to introduce the Illuminate, then after we have the Illuminate problem under control, the bots will come back on Cyberstan.
i think urban warfare would be amazing against factions like the terminids and automatons

Thermite grenade might be better sticking to exposed weakspots to do continuous damage to those spots before detonation. Those last 3 weapons look like how they are going to implement weapon modifications (grips, barrels, sights , etc.) In the future
You have a point about the whole “we don’t want to carry around ammo on our backs” thing, I used the auto cannon for a long time because it delt extremely good damage to dreadnoughts (ya know, the thing they spam in Helldive) but as soon as I got the Q-Launcher and the L16-scythe, everything changed.
Ended up rocking a shield gen pack or guard dog instead.

It's only natural since we are prety much same type of breeded drones as helldivers :)
I look forward to a way to build and save loadouts eventually.
Stalwart, machine guns, and arc thrower will be cool to pair with it. There will be many more primaries that will act as support weapons
Primary as support weapons. 😅😅😅. Usually high level anti tank weapons are support weapons. Anti-tank weapons are sparce and takes a while to be ready.

@@doorsareforopening my 500 kg bomb take out everything including bile while my autocannon take out bug dwelling from far away or my quasa cannon take out all. Or I can use my primary weapon to take on small and medium foes.
I'm not surprised to hear there may be a new resource, as, well, we've got that unused "Bureau" thing across from the wee armory.
5:57 looks like the trident from HD1
It was the best primary weapon in the game for difficulty 13+ against the Terminids. Especially against stalkers and minor bugs.
They really need to add a fire resistance armour passive to the game. The game already has the electricity armour passive, but it's too niche.
Same with an acid passive the bile spewers kill you so fast if they hit you
@@Cay_Wolf acid armor would be straight up meta to the point where you would have literally no reason to put amything else when fighting bugs. Broken poorly thought through gear kills a lot of other content studio has already made.
@@ardour1587 doesnt have to be a massive buff just a small one, we already have armours with major buffs against explosive damage for bots and 3 armours that have a 95% buff against arc damage (definitely for when the illuminate come) so I don’t see why we couldn’t have some armour that helps against the bugs
@@ardour1587 make it a heavy or light armour so theres also a downside to it like running out off stamina faster or lower armour rating to other things because theres only a certain amount of bugs that spit or shoot acid
what I would like to see added is helmet passives that do vision effects.
like one that shows where stratagems will land, and the blast zone (so if someone threw a eagle cluster beside you it would overlay the ground red in the direction the eagle is coming from and the potential blast zone of the cluster bomb, and if someone used a orbital 380 you would see red circle overlays on the ground for the blast zont where the rounds will eventually hit). a light adaptive vision that negates super bright lights and darkness, and maybe one that reveals cloaked enemies and highlights weakpoint's, and maybe a newb friendly one that shows lines of fire (so for most guns it would be a line for shotguns its a cone, for grenades and grenade launchers it shows the arc and for the arc launcher it shows a line to each thing that the arc would jump to maybe for the first or second jump)

I guess that mag is side loaded then as I see no obvious place for mag in the pictures, I guess its on left side of the gun.
Thermite is designed for melting armor, in WWI it was used against the MK1 tank by the Germans. Very effective, use thermite grenades on bots not bugs lol

@@3rdWorldGamersure. Maybe it would’ve been more effective if he threw it at the actual weak spot. The ratio is not the weak spot. In fact it has a damage reduction buff on the tail. It’s just the only “exposed” part which means the thermite won’t shine. If he had thrown it on the chargers head, I think it would have been a kill.

As a massive star ship troopers fan, that leaked green assault rifle has me intrigued.
Personally, I think the automatons are being moved up to cyberstan so that the south has more room for the illuminids (spelling?).
Right now, it is left and right sides for automatons vs. Termanids. If they have the illuminids come into the south, they won't have much room to keep them separate. By moving it up to cyberstan, it's closer to 1/3 of the map for each of the 3 factions

If they add a booster that lets you swap out your secondary for another primary it could be game changing the second primary could maybe take up a backpack slot to balance it out

would love to get a transmog system so we could use our armors in the combination we want to .. for style.. either that or remove perks from armors and add like a "medal" slot which will be fore your perks
The laser weapon is complete and is in the game. It is a replacement model for the guard dog (which previously just had a laser rifle mounted to it).
It feels like we are back in the early battlefield days when we are so ready for what's next
I want to customize armor. Currently the best perks are on the worst looking sets, with bad colors and bad stats as well. It's worrying that such a very very simple feature isn't already available tbh.

the thermite grenade lowers armor on the target, does so over time with "burn"
the airburst looks like it could be used for trash clear could be pretty helpfful in bug and bot mission depending on how much dmg it does to devastators
Niche weapons like the bolt action here pair very, very well with the Stalwart. It gives you the volume of fire and ease of use you need to mow through basic infantry.
I honestly think that the stalwart might be used much more or maybe the machine gun since the eruptor could be very good for biles and chargers but a gun for warriors or brutes are essential so maybe it will be much more used i really hope illuminates come with the upd or some strategems
New bolt explosive gun + the light machine gun would be a sick combo ngl

I already do that with the Jar-5 Dominator, it works wonders
The best setup for the new explosive guns is either of the two explosive primaries, the grenade pistol, a supply backpack, and one of the 3 machine guns.
I'm willing to safely bet that the Hellbucks are specifically for cosmetic changes and customization outside of specific armor set buys. Also the fact that they look like credit cards could also indicate some kind of narrative "social credit score", which can be controlled for storytelling or balance purposes (and not actually gauge your social credit in-game). I'm not confident on this second theory, but I thought it would be worth noting.

my favorite thing about the ambush was the president says something along the lines of
“we were about to reach a permanent peace deal with the automatons and they have now shown us that will never be the case and must be eradicated”
which is real funny considering we were leading the attack, almost eradicated them once….and now that they’re back and rebuilding, we’ve taken it personally and see it as an act of aggression
The Eruptor is gonna be my new favorite for sure, can’t wait to pair it with the stalwart.

What we need is a high fire resistance armor set.
I also think medical armor should be more resistant to bio attacks.

Pretty sure that the automatons have fled to deep space during swift assembly and are still out there, waiting to strike. We know they have the ability to communicate outside galactic boundaries, something is going on out there.
3:12 It had no effect cause it hit the side of a charger but did serious damage. We haven't seen it hitting the head, or what it can do against Hulk fronts or legs.
I think if they add some stun/stagger to the end of the thermite grenade it might make it more viable.
If anything, they need to lower the time on mines. It doesn't have to be like 90 seconds but maybe 100-120. 180+ feels to be too much. I'm still building up my ship modules and warbonds but have all of the current strategems/maxed out on RS.

I would love for all armors to have some slots for further ability mods.
1:50 Sniper Build with the AMR or using the Stalwart and a Supply Pack. Stalwart handles the small stuff while the R-36 handles tankier units from a distance.
I'd love an armor set with pieces of automatons and terminids. Kind of like if the helldiver has been collecting trophies of his enemies. Like using an automaton skull as a helmet for example.

I would’ve love to see some kind of currency converter in this game. If you have too much requisition, you could say, spend 1000 and get 1 medal for it in exchange or 10 super credits. Many of us now have requisition just sitting there, waiting until new stratagems get released.
The middle weapon is clearly based on, or a variant of the 'Defender' SMG already in the game. The size, stock, and ejection port all are quite similar.

The Energy weapon actually is in game right now. They have altered the weapon model on the Rover guard dog from a regular Scythe to the one from the picture in this video.
We need an anti-tank grenade that has a tiny radius but strips armour off of the big boys, extra points if it's sticky or impact.
I'd love to see some new SMGs hopefully even a cut down version of the sickle
A flare gun would be great for automatons at night. There are some times where it is so dark it’s terrible.
Hellbucks sound like they’re the new way to upgrade weapons and stratagems like the 1st game

the uh, the smg looking weapon in the weapons leak part is a primary, prolly fast fire rate and a little less damage on the defender with a possible similar magazine capacity
Looks like this game will be big this entire year and bridge the gaps between FP2, HW3 and SM2.
wasn't cyberstan a bit towards earth? if so it may serve to slow transport to outerplanets in order for allied forces(of the automatons) to attack with less resistance. maybe that's how the illuminate is introduced as the automatons had contact with "something" which is likely the illuminate
I am addicted to this game. I’ve unlocked everything and I just enjoy playing it so much. Looking forward to the future of the game. Not many games drag me in the last game that I was hooked on was the first division and I played that everyday for 3 years when I was off work.

Just wanted to point out that one of those “hivelord assets” is just a higher quality version of a previously leaked Illuminate asset.
I think we'll get our boss fights when we take all the termanid sectors as well as the bots then when weve fought them we'll get the illuminates
Not sure if it was a bug (heh), but I've seen the Hive Lord skeletons on bot maps. I remember having a chat about them with my squaddies on a bot map about exactly when they're coming out.
Yesterday I played a match that had 9 shriekers nests, I really wish for all these anti air stratagems to come asap it was a hellhole (prob 80 shriekers at the same time)
