avg rent in her neighborhood for a 2 bed is $5000, just in case anyone is wondering. in nyc it is customary to ask "what's the rent" when you enter someone's home.
It could or could not depending on the building management and/or the broker who sold or rented the unit. In NYC, they can label however they want to sell/rent it. If they can fit two beds, it's usually a two bedroom haha.
Not sure if any remembers, way back in the day she talked about how much she liked the show. I wonder if it was any motivation for her to pick that apartment 😂
Haha, the big difference of three years - awkward Ingrid talking about Summer's eve (which by the way, THANK YOU, that video was life changing for me, I had never even heard of it) and then straight forward Ingrid talking about Summer's eve being great for your vagina today. Love how I've watched your growth. The quality, artistry, eloquence, and organization of your videos is constantly improving. You're an inspiration girl. I hope I can build a life for myself the way I have seen you do for yourself.
Taylor Blackwell Products like Summer's Eve are actually not good for your vagina since it's a self-cleaning organ and using products on it can upset the pH balance and good bacteria! The best way to care for your vagina is to wash it every day with warm water.
Elizabeth King it's for the outside. regular soap can change your PH levels and can cause infections. My doctor flat out told me to start using it because I get infections almost every other month. now that I use it those don't happen as much.
Elizabeth King Well, I guess if we're being technical. This is soap for your vulva. And compared to body wash (which many women scrub their vulvas with), it is better for you. Warm water doesn't do much for someone who lives in a hot area or struggles with smell. If I wear yoga pans without using Summer's Eve, that shit is NOT fresh. Lol.
I'm from the UK, and I'm going to New York in October. Seeing the view of the city from your apartment really gets me excited for the trip. I'm only 15 and I've always wanted to visit New York, and when I'm there I will probably fall in love with the city just like you did Ingrid. Having an insight of you achieving your ambition is so inspiring to me and I thank you for that! Love you Ingrid!! Bria xxx
I love your Dad's painting. Every time I've seen this in one of your past videos I've just enjoyed its presence in the background because it gives me such a warm and homely feeling :)
Your apartment is so genuine and has so much personalized touches that show your character! I loved the world map shower curtain and the potted plants.
I loved this tour so much! And I'm so happy for you, because now you have a little video diary of a place you lived that meant so much to you. Whenever you miss it, you can watch this video for yourself. :)
Thank you for coming back ❤ For the last year I haven't been watching so many of your videos because it didn't feel like the Ingrid I knew. But in the Q&A and today you have been who I remember, and I loved the videos. It's NOT that I don't support you, I just feel like the warmth and your personality have been missing. But now i ser that your still there, I see that you're happy. And that's all that matters. ❤
Was looking at some of my saved videos and found one of you from 2012!!! Can't believe how much you've changed since then. I'm so happy to have been here through it all 💙
Ingrid, I'm so glad that you have had the chance to spend time and live in the city that I have called home for my entire life. It was amazing watching you through your Instagram and snapchat, exploring and loving this place I call home.
What a beautiful apartment . I live in NYC too and I'm hoping to move out of my house soon because of my homophobic parents. It's just too much of a toxic environment. Love your decor !
Bunny direct message me on my instagram channel, @enhanceyourhealthwithjennifer because I can relate a little with what you could have been going through. Blessings
Something that has nothing to do with the apartment: I love your voice! It's so sweet and calm! And I'm not the only one who thinks that. Today I was watching this video and my cat came in and laid next to the ipad and just shut his eyes like he was meditating, so sweet! His ears were moving but he was calm and enjoying your voice! :)
Ingrid, people may figure out where you live by the view, please, be careful. You have a lovely appartment!:) I wish I had a place on my own as well, I love yours!
This was filmed probably earlier in January (according to the NY times - 8th of January) so I guess she had plenty of time to organise the move etc. :) Im so stoked to see the new apt in LA!
I never understand how people's homes can be so clean and minimalist - I'm so used to the "messy, lived in" look with stuff spilling out everywhere - not in a gross way, obvi, but yeah. I would feel uncomfortable in that apartment that I would dirty something, haha
Jackie I prefer a super personal lived in space. my apartment isn't full of junk but it's pretty full and I feel at home here. I wouldn't feel at home in such an open space like that. it's pretty but I need shoes by the door and pictures on the fridge lol
Jackie I'm not a minimalist but people tend to call my home "the pintrest house" because it does look extremely nice and organized and they say the same things you did lol. However, I am assuming that maybe she generally has it in a "lived in state" then cleans before guests come over and before she filmed. That's what I would do, because even though you have it all organized and clean like this, it isn't easy to maintain if you work or have pets. Hope this helped :)
Ingrid, I already knew you were my spirit twin but the organic modernism furniture tops everything! That is my favorite furniture store!! So excited that you love it also.
Wow. Just. Wow. Your apartment looks so sweet and comfy! And the view! Ingrid, you're living a charmed life (and I know you have some down times, we all do), but I'm very thankful that you shared this beautiful place with us.
I love how bright the kitchen/living room is! By the way, your apartment is beautiful, I loved how you put everything together with that clean modern but comfy style.
Thank you for inviting us to your bubble of comfort. Your place looks so amazing and thanks for sharing more snippets of your life food clothing products etc! Good luck moving future Ingrid xoxo
Such a beautiful view! So glad I watched this. My husband and I are looking for a new sofa that is deeper and we went to the website you purchased yours and found one we love, so thank you!
Thank you so much for sharing your NYC city apartment! I love your style and learning about all of your favorite beauty products! You have such terrific energy and I’m so happy I found you on here. I know this video is a couple years old but I hope your move went well and you found an awesome place in LA!💛
staranimalark haha! i thought this too...english girl over here 😂 also, amazes me that most people in the US dont have electric kettles. dont think ive ever been in a house in the UK without an electric kettle! 😁
Same! I'm Irish-American (parents from Ireland) and find it strange that some Americans confuse tea kettles and tea pots, as well as heat their kettles on the stove.
Polly Hall usually tea kettles are heated on the stove where as teapots you boil the water (often in an electric kettle) then put it in the teapot with the tea to brew.
Love you Ingrid. I've been here since 2010 and I've loved seeing your life change and progress. You are such a beautiful human being and role model. Thank you
you're apartment is so cute and i love how minimal it is. I kinda gathered that was your style just from your LA place, but I loved seeing this! Your view is AMAZING and if I was still home in Jersey and looking for a place in NYC I would LOVE to live here! Such a cute, amazingly lit NYC apartment that holds a lot of amazing memories for you! Can't wait to see what's next Ingrid! :)
That apartment is just lovely! I'm on the hunt for one (unfortunately not in DUMBO, not even in America), but I just adore the furniture. This mid century vibe is beautiful, wished we would have west elm here. All the best for the next chapter of your (living) life.
Heyyitscdog Many of them who don't use them are in high rises, where you can't possibly see inside the apartment. It's not like regular houses that are right next to each other.
It's so weird! I always think it's strange when you see people on TV who have no or sheer curtains. How does anyone get any sleep? Wouldn't there be lights from outside at night and sun so early!
Thank you for sharing this Ingrid 😍 it's always been a dream of mine to live in NYC on my own terms for a couple of years, but living in Australia, and married, I don't think that will ever happen now. I hope you had an amazing time and created some unforgettable memories while you were there xx
thank you Ingrid for this apt tour I've been waiting for one from NYC from when you 1st lived in this NYC apt I do love it and its aweome.hope to see another apt tour again someday.
Such a lovely, open apartment! Really reflects your taste as a person and I hope one day I can move to NY and take that leap but i totally get wanting to move back to CA. Also, your outfit is adorable.
I love that you have the Fun Home playbill! I actually had never heard of it until we booked our wedding venue... One of my good friends lost her mind when I showed her the venue because the house we rented is the house Alison Bechdel grew up in! You can actually rent it as a VRBO.
I can't believe it's been two years! I remember when you moved and you actually inspired me to move here. I've been in NYC for almost a year and a half. I've hoped I'd run into you! In fact, so many times I'd see we'd just missed each other (or at least based off your snaps!) but hopefully one day I'll bump into you somewhere :)
avg rent in her neighborhood for a 2 bed is $5000, just in case anyone is wondering. in nyc it is customary to ask "what's the rent" when you enter someone's home.
What area is this? Curious, I just love that view
DUMBO
I wonder if this is actually able to pass as a 2 bedroom? In most states, a bedroom can only be called and sold as a bedroom if it has windows.
It could or could not depending on the building management and/or the broker who sold or rented the unit. In NYC, they can label however they want to sell/rent it. If they can fit two beds, it's usually a two bedroom haha.
My two bed two bath Manhattan apartment was legit ~5500 a month and it was small too. I miss Manhattan though now that I'm in Seattle.
Loved every second of this.
Estée Lalonde Love you Estee ! :D So cool to see you here !
Estée Lalonde why don't you do any videos with zoella?
Jenn_in_ATL she doesn't have to?

Which bridge is that??
Elizabeth Turner she said it's manhattan bridge
How is no one talking about the fact that she lives in the building where the Humphrey family lives in the show GossipGirl!!!
Megan oh my god she does
Megan I love that show!!!
Not sure if any remembers, way back in the day she talked about how much she liked the show. I wonder if it was any motivation for her to pick that apartment 😂
Megan omg is that the same building?!? Xoxo gossip girl Ali Jenny humphries is Cindy Lou who
I was just thinking that! And I think the patch of grass down by the bridge is where they played football in the thanksgiving episode 😭
I've been watching Ingrid for 6 years now wow
Same! I was just thinking that :)
Emma Hardy I know right... so weird. I was here for the Vlogmas 2011 and earlier when she and Luke would vlog all the time, I watched them every day
Me too. It's crazy to see how much she's changed and how much her channel grew
I've been watch since yesterday😳

J She lives in NYC but she travelled and worked a lot in LA .
She's from and still does live in LA. She was spending a year in NYC to figure out her life. She was going back and forth.
Was looking at some of my saved videos and found one of you from 2012!!! Can't believe how much you've changed since then. I'm so happy to have been here through it all 💙
It's so Tumblry. 😍 I love it!! All you need is a record player & a tapestry. 😍🙌

BunnyJanie And I thought I had parent problems.
Bunny direct message me on my instagram channel, @enhanceyourhealthwithjennifer because I can relate a little with what you could have been going through. Blessings
My boyfriend says I'm a gaslighting victim. And he's right.
Rosalinda Flores I haven't heard that terminology.
Well when I looked it up. I though I was going to have a panic attack.
Something that has nothing to do with the apartment: I love your voice! It's so sweet and calm! And I'm not the only one who thinks that. Lora Gradinarov very nice thought but her lease is ending and she's going to start living in LA full-time. Explained it all in her latest Q&A ☺️
from her view of the bridge i realized i pass her building all the time lol
Lora Gradinarov She is moving out soon
This was filmed probably earlier in January (according to the NY times - 8th of January) so I guess she had plenty of time to organise the move etc. :) Im so stoked to see the new apt in LA!

staranimalark haha! i thought this too...english girl over here 😂 also, amazes me that most people in the US dont have electric kettles. dont think ive ever been in a house in the UK without an electric kettle! 😁
Same! I'm Irish-American (parents from Ireland) and find it strange that some Americans confuse tea kettles and tea pots, as well as heat their kettles on the stove.
Sorcha Oconnor Just curious what is the difference?
staranimalark same haha! I think it's already an addiction
Thank you

Your view is AMAZING and if I was still home in Jersey and looking for a place in NYC I would LOVE to live here! Such a cute, amazingly lit NYC apartment that holds a lot of amazing memories for you! Can't wait to see what's next Ingrid! :)
Love it when you make these videos, you holding the camera, sort of vlogging, makes everything so personal and intimate, it's awesome ❤
That apartment is just lovely! I'm on the hunt for one (unfortunately not in DUMBO, not even in America), but I just adore the furniture. This mid century vibe is beautiful, wished we would have west elm here. All the best for the next chapter of your (living) life.
Is it just me or does no one in New York City have curtains or blinds? Are they just okay with people seeing in at night time? I'm curious
I only have sheers and I'm on a ground level...mostly its never bothered me that much.
Heyyitscdog I do. I could never live without my curtains
Heyyitscdog yes a lot of people dont have curtains
Thank you for sharing this Ingrid 😍 it's always been a dream of mine to live in NYC on my own terms for a couple of years, but living in Australia, and married, I don't think that will ever happen now. I hope you had an amazing time and created some unforgettable memories while you were there xx

What a beautiful apartment! I'm sure it must be difficult to let go. But we all must carry on! Cheers to the next adventure. Xoxox
I love how neat and minimalist it is! You're obviously very selective of what you bring into your home, and it shows.
I am so excited she is about to reach 4 million. Love her so much, she deserves it..

I love that you have the Fun Home playbill! I actually had never heard of it until we booked our wedding venue... One of my good friends lost her mind when I showed her the venue because the house we rented is the house Alison Bechdel grew up in! You can actually rent it as a VRBO.
Is your apartment in Brooklyn?
Yep! Seems like she lives right in DUMBO (Down Under Manhattan Bridge Overpass), so beautiful!
OH yeah I realized after she showed her view... I wrote this comment too soon
Very nice place, terrific people
I can't believe it's been two years! I remember when you moved and you actually inspired me to move here. I've been in NYC for almost a year and a half. I've hoped I'd run into you! In fact, so many times I'd see we'd just missed each other (or at least based off your snaps!) but hopefully one day I'll bump into you somewhere :)
Is your apartment in the Humphrey Building?!! (The building that was supposedly where the Hunphreys lived in Gossip Girl)
I love this video! I'm so happy for you-- glad to see you happy. LOVE the viiew of Manhattan!!!
