Their hairstyles were so cool back then. This seems to be where the guys agreed to sing but will not wear choir robes. Men were more masculine back then
Yes, typically, but it was titled "Hallelujah" when a recording of it by this choir was released on a choir compilation album right around the time of this performance, so we have kept that as the title.
Update: asked Cleo Joiner, the choir director in this video, and he said that the record label changed the title but that he'd prefer we list this under "Revive Us Again," so will make that change. Thanks!
Aint nothing like the Black Church! Love this nostalgia. Sis on that soprano is gettin' it.
Sing it!!!
That 1st soprano is NAILING it!
That soprano with the superhuman pitch! Jesus!!!
Revive us again! Nothing like those hymnns. The organist is killin’ it, play on brother.

Come onnnn First Soprano!! 🔥
That’s head voice right ?
@@curtisdrummerellerbe9544 YES!
Yes
That Soprano did that whole song. I used to could do it maybe once or twice but not the whole song. That's unique.

Wearing a robe has absolutely nothing to do with whether someone is a man or not.
@@dansmodacctthat part. We wear robes to be uniformed. Since they all matching, no need for robes for them.
I guess yellow was masculine then…what an idiot
That Soprano!!!
Where is the lady nailing this tonic??!?! Is she still with us? I wanna meet her.
this song is sweet !!! Oh I love this right here 🙌🏾
Awesome indeed ❤️❤
I sure do miss this

Beautiful Black People❤
Omg! I love this kind of church choir singing. Where is this church located???
lol good question how ever it wouldn’t be the same singing or members because that was in the 70s. Most of those people went to be with the lord!!!
Correct title is Revive Us Again.

Shirley Caesar remade this classic. I've never heard this version. It really hits, especially the soprano in the background.
Excellent
Kids are not singing like this anymore. In fact, I don't know if churches still have youth choirs anymore.
PARENTS ARENT RAISING THEYRE CHILDREN IN CHURCH ANYMORE….what do you expect??
First of all, this was like the 60s so the children in 2024 are supposed to sing like the 60s
I be trying to get the youth together her in Cincinnati Ohio at second trinity baptist church but so many have left😢
@@curtisdrummerellerbe9544 m’y great aunt originally sung the song and recorded it here in Cincinnati
