I love watching these videos to see how others spend their money because we are all SO different here on UA-cam!

I'm starting to love these money check in videos! They feel relatable. I can also relate with not feeling guilty when buying clothes, decor etc compared to when I spend on eating out and hanging out with my friends (which I feel really guilty about). I think we just see the former as material manifestations of our hardwork and we feel that they'll be useful. When we hangout or eat out, we don't get something tangible so what I do is just think that spending that amount of money is like spending on cultivating my friendships and building experiences so I feel less guilty about it. It's just that I have to be wise who I spend my time and money over with so the money we spend isn't going to waste. 🤣
what if you re-frame your spending on takeout as investing in your relationships? it's not like you're spending on takeout for yourself, you do it to hang out and bond with your friends/only in social settings. See it as a gift to yourself! friendships are always valuable and worth spending on
As someone who processes invoices at work, I’d definitely say don’t hesitate to check in on payment! Sometimes thing straight up slip through the cracks or get stuck in an approval phase but usually it’s an easy fix.
I can definitely relate to you. Congrats on hitting the goal for your channel, remember to write another one whether it be for your channel or something else.
Hello Zoe 👋 been watching you for a few months now & have to say I'm loving all your finance content,it helps me so much with my finances,I feel like u my accountable buddy.Keep them coming😁
Yayyy another video! Thanks for sharing again Zoe! I like the money videos however you want to make them, standalone or integrated, however its easier, a new video from you is always good😂
omg I totally agree about feeling stressed about summertime spending!! I live in toronto and it seems like summertime is my biggest expense because of how the city comes alive
Idk if this helps but I explain my financial situations to my friends and usually we wait till I have some spending money saved up before we all go out and do activities that involve money. In the meantime we just hang out at parks or each others houses. So we usually plan activities a few weeks in advance.
Hi Zoey! Have you ever considered to live a month ahead on income? I have done this for my budget and I am no longer waiting for income to make payments. My May budget is coming from all my April income. My husbands budget is SUPER variable! He is currently 2-3 months ahead. He is living off of January's income for his April budget. We have a separate bank account for our income. About 5 days before the new month we make all our transfers to where they need to live. We have a 2nd budget checking account where we deposit all of our bill and spending money for the new month. Essentially we can auto pay all our monthly bills to go out on the 1st if we choose without needing to wait for money to hit our accounts. Good luck with all your money moves!
wow thats amazing!! im currently working on staying a month ahead for rent + daily spending, but would love to get even farther ahead like you are describing 🥰
not drinking alcohol is a big one in order to save money. I honestly don't drink ever cause I don't like the taste but I can notice the difference that it makes when one of my friends will get also a drink when we're out, it is expensive! The sound is crisp, love the cup asmr 😂can't wait for the fun vlogs you have planned Zoe, I always enjoy all of your videos ❤
April was a very exciting month in one respect and scary in another. My partner and I have been saving for years to buy a house and last month we put in an offer that was accepted 🎉 This also meant that almost all of our savings is now spent between a down payment and closing expenses. It’s wild when you have been saving for almost a decade and then you spend it, even though it’s being spent on the intended purchase 😂 Now to start saving again because house repairs are not cheap!
Hello Zoe ! I love your content, and I feel you could take your own advice, money is also to be spent and enjoy life. So maybe you just need to expand your budget for the spring and summer period in order for you to enjoy it without feeling guilty. Budgets are flexible it’s just numbers on a spreadsheet ☺️ Ps : may I suggest you let the writing parts longer i don’t have the time to read it all 😊
I have spent soooo much money this month, mostly on airplane tickets. So it’s exciting, but it also means I’m going to spend a lot more down the line while on vacations. All hopefully worth it, but still a tough pill to swallow.
I get my last paycheck from my job I quit this month so feeling anxious about that but I know I made the right decision for my mental health. Starting locum work in the same sector next week so it should be fine.
Just curious, shouldn't your grocery budget decrease since living with your bf? Not that he should pay for your food, but sharing groceries seems like you'd buy less.
It's only been a month so it's kind of too soon to say, but I don't imagine it would go down since I'm still eating the same amount of food 🙈 Maybe slightly, we'll see!
@@ZoePritchardyes I guess it is just a month in! Good point. Love your money videos and your chatty videos! I listen while working and I relate to budgeting!
Hey girl! Just curious when you say your goal is to make $5k+ a month is that before or after taxes ? Because if you’ve been making over $5k a month every month lately after taxes, and taxes are 40% then you’ve been making so much more which is wild 😍
I relate so much to the peer pressure while eating out! And I get what you mean by feeling guilty, I think it's because prices are so high rn and since food is like a basic thing to get, it adds up very quickly even with small things, like the other day I went for an almond croissant, and it was like 8$ 😭😰💀 as a student I can't really afford that 😂 Thank you for doing these videos, they are really helpful!!! 🫶🏼💗
wow that is a LOT for a croissant 🙈 i think you are spot on with this! i also feel there is always a pressure to go somewhere trendy… like can we please get A&W or something? 😂😂💖

I don't drink either, alcohol has always tasted disgusting to me - even wine. I love mock tails but I'm also watching my sugar intake these days ❤
