Hello from Australia 😁 I know Warwick Castle sounds expensive but this is like no other castle or experience!! You really must go, it's our favourite place. So much to see. In one part you see them preparing for battle. The robotics are good with soldiers getting ready. You hear the metal clanging of swords, smell peat fires, hear them calling out. It's wonderful. There are other areas too which are so interesting. Getting ready for a royal visit and weekend party in Victorian times. Outside there is a great Bird of Prey show. Huge trebuchet, like a sling shot.
We are going to go back and go to the castle in the near future 😀
Great vlog. The awning is really spacious and looks comfortable. Lindsey came back from Glenmore yesterday after seeing Suzy and slept in the awning attached to Gladys on an inflatable mattress and sleeping bag.
Saved her a lot accommodation money and they both had a great time X
Aww that’s fab I did wonder if that’s what she would do, we are up there in just under 2 weeks and so looking forward to seeing Suz again xx

I bought a Hexaway tall. Used it twice, to much time to erect and pack away. Sold it including ground sheet, carpet and pump. Now use windout Thule awning and rainblockers. Much quicker and more time for a cup of Tea!

Great video as ever. We have just bought the Hexaway tall and love it. 15 mins to set up and be ready to sit in. Its a bit of a pain to put back in the bag, but its tall enough to connect to the 2.90m van. We have had to get the awning rail kit as our rail is 4mm but the Hexaway is 6mm. I will be sat in the awning during the day working while the weather is nice.
It’s lovely isn’t it, gives that extra much needed space

Starting van life on Tuesday Mark and Sioux. I’m getting a flavour of times ahead. Admittedly I have booked a campsite to get us3d to the motorhome. But after that it’s free parking as often as possible. Hope to meet you soon. Where I lived there is a big horsey community. They are no bother. In fact some of the families are quite wealthy. Scrap men and making money the hard way. They regularly have horse cart runs on the roads around me. They have stables with a running track. They were in an episode of Jimmy Nails Spender. Hard lads but local lads as well. The horses are well looked after as well. Need to get your hints and tips. xxx
They look after their animals really well, and some are lovely people. Good luck with starting out I think it’s a good idea to start off on a site for a few days!

Ours are the ridgemonkey XL and the pan and griddle set. They are brilliant 🤩
I think all race course campsites are similar, fairly expensive not that great to look at.
Awnings make a HUGE difference. Pretty much live in mine but the heater is a must 🤣x

We bought the same heater for are caravan awning and in the caravan but I replaced the wire with a longer one and eliminated the need for an extension lead.
I've ordered the same soundbar and I'm well pleased with it, good find that one Steve 👍

I added 6 x 38mm x22mm Karabiner clips to each leg and leave them attached, so much easier to attach the ground sheet to. Hope this helps.

I use the throw over straps, that sorts out sagging on the top and the awning seems to be tight to motorhome, with the sagging if you get a big down pour it can fill with water and bring the awning down, hope this helps.
We have got throw over straps but can’t put them by the door as then the van door won’t shut!

you can get a jet kit in it you get a number of serrated pins that you clean the jets out with i use them to clean out carb jets they do the job

i added an extra awning rail under the van awning it stopes the awning pulling on the van awning, mind you we did have a full length awning

We use the Kampa limpets on ours but you would have to put eyelets in it you can buy them on Temu as a kit.

obviously a cooking chanel , made me laugh guys , why doesnt someone invent something like a 2 foot strip of material thats velcroed somehow to the tent and then via suction pads maybe to the van just making it easily snug to those sides that are so frustrating i can see, also a massive difference is getting one of those inflatable type sausage shaped thing that fits under van and blown up stopping huge draft under van coming in awning?
Yes that’s maybe the next purchase!
