Actually, we do have an accent. It's just hard to tell. It's more pronounced if you're in the countryside, and the people are relaxed though. I know, because I actually hear the accent sometimes, coming from my own mouth. :D

Your mom isn't the only one. When I'm relaxed, I use 'eh' a lot. And I'm sure plenty of other Canadians do the same. :D Once, I was really surprised how many times I used it in a sentence. But it wasn't on purpose.
What happened to the Chorus? Was it too hard to translate? C'est ça qu'on expecte avec ces chansons traduis.
This F-Canadien (Or Quebecois) version is so catchy:D) Just like most of U.S.C.N.A Pop music nowadays. Their accents and dialects don't sound very different from each other.

I think you should have sung the first verse in french as well, I think that would have blended the english and french well (kind of like how Simple Plan did Jet Lag in french with Marie-Mai). =P
@sushi123suba I am pretty sure there is 60000 people with French as a first language in Alberta. Je pense qu'il y a 60000 personne avec le français comme langue maternelle en Alberta.
