Nice fish. We got 6 out of there thurs and fri and skunked Saturday. It sure was tough. Minnows and plain hook worked one day and not the nxt. Hope this water warms up this week.

Thanks for the updates. We found fish at Independence Point and Shell Island yesterday. They were ranged from the 15 incher to a 25. So we had good variety on bouncers and smaller smile blades and crawlers. Noticed your GoPro problems... my solution to using GoPros was to stop using them. Ha, ha. Everyone I know hates them, 100%. The two I have owned have only given me trouble 100% of the times I've used them and that isn't an exaggeration. I just got DJI Osmo Action 4s this summer because I couldn't take the abuse anymore. They are a dream because they just work when you want them to. Period. Also not exaggerating. Good luck out there! I hope it starts picking up again some day. In the meantime, I'm considering exploring more small lakes or something different. The big lake has been just tough, tough, tough. I'm not too proud to say I've probably only pulled 5 walleye since ice fishing in March. That's just the way it's been. Even when my friends might pull 15 or more walleye in front of me in the same boat...so it's partly my techniques or something. Up until this year, I just had to drive to Deepwater Bay to be guaranteed fish. Now I'm thinking I have to go further up river or the lake needs to stabilize after all these intermittent storms.

@rippinglipsadventures That's for the advice on the gopros! They are great when they work but there is times they just have a mind of their own. The one I have on the power stick never gives me any problems as long as I have it on there. If I have them on mounts with battery packs they seem to shut off when they feel like it. I tried videoing the net job to get a better view and to break of the view of the video if that makes sense.
Yes this year has been so tough on big lake. I will say either we get big ones or we get small ones and not alot of the in between. It has seemed to be a very small #6 hook with a minnow has been what we have caught every big fish on this year and finally got them going on smiley blades yesterday. The video from yesterday will be out next week. I have some bow hunting stuff to get done Saturday and hoping Sunday to head to Langers and try it. Then it's off to start prefishing for the Dakota Walleye Classic

@@ZaneSeelyeOutdoors Sweet. I forgot to mention my GoPros stopped overheating and shutting down after I removed the batteries and strictly used the battery packs outside of the camera. That was the case for my buddy from Go Midwest Fishing, too. If that isn't your trouble, there is a setting for never powering down somewhere in them. But yeah, DJI all the way from now on for me. They're cheaper cameras, too, than GoPros. Good luck at the Dakota Walleye Classic!

@rippinglipsadventures the inevitable I have on power stick hasn't over heated yet but when I'm ice fishing they are always overheating. I also use a xa11 cannon camera when I'm hunting and or doing some fishing and that thing has gone threw hell and works great but just sucks having it lay around
