Anyone can develop a small-scale proof of concept with a machine learning model that meets a specific local requirement. Depends on what you are talented at. If i am to give advice to someone starting their studies i would say learn programming and new energies. If you need a 30+ years career after graduation oil & gas might not be optimum for you

It's amazing how Shell is utilizing AI technology to profit. Shell is really pioneering smart systems that have the capacity to change how Energy is transitioned globally. That's something we all should support.

I work in Shell and the transformation on the Downstream side is quite spectacular. Our customer offerings including IOT monitoring of mobile equipment and remote lubricant reservoirs are leading to new insights for both customers and Shell. Very exciting time indeed.
