I am enjoying this fiddle & other types of instruments taking in this festival. I am a 93 year old Scot. I was a drummer in a band for many years. My old bones are not as sharp as they once were, but I can still tap and finger drum as the music spills out. Thank you to everyone for this enjoyment.🤣😛😂❤
I have never heard or seen this before. But I will say I have truly enjoyed watching this show . There is a lot of talented people on that stage . Thanks to everyone involved in bringing this entertainment and sharing it to UA-cam .
This has been a wonderful discovery from my home pod, in Shenandoah County, VA. It is an excellent production for content, format, and production quality. Congratulations to all the performers, hosts, video and audio crews, and WCTE for capturing this "heartbeat of the Appalachians" program. I'll have to add the Smithville Jamboree/Crafts Festival to my bucket list.
@Nancy Pope I agree with you. They were all good but she certainly knows how to make that violin 'talk'. From that cute smile, she knows she is good and was enjoying every second while she was up there. However, I guess she wouldn't have been on that stage if she wasn't good. I'd give a lot if I were musical.
Brilliant dancers, all of them. ❤ see lots of green eyes and fair hair. Scots/ Irish ? Love to see all the talented children keeping up tradition and making it even better.
Rocky Top Review, the cloggers in red, were great fun to watch couples team reminding me of my short time with the Green Grass Cloggers in Greenvelle, SC. Complex couple interaction takes a lot of work for any team! Great fun!
Very nice version of Little Rock Getaway 23:32. Although this has become a showpiece for banjo and guitar players, it was written in 1935 by swing era pianist Joe Sullivan and has also been recorded by many jazz musicians.
I would love to have watched this event. The cloggers were great. The bluegrass players were great. The videography was not. Too many switches between cameras. Too many zooms. Just let us watch the dancing, start to finish, so the choreography can be followed and enjoyed. Not to mention cutting off the dances.

Amazing. I'm U.K. and if i ever visit the U.S. this would be in my list of must sees. It's just oozing culture and tradition.
I'm a northern man and I don't dance, but that dancing makes me want to join in. Looks like a good time.
I've watched this whole video! Totally enjoyed it! I wish I was part of such a wonderful people! Love Miss Ivy! Glad she won!

It's like watching a scene from those films deliverance or southern comfort
More of these videos please. Thank you!
Great camerawork, right in there among the dancers and musicians instead of filming them from a distance..:)
I enjoyed very much.Thank you.
if I was in the solo buck dancing competition, upon seeing Thomas Maupin, I would have said "welp boys, let's go home"
I would love this!
All so nice and white.
So much fun!
