Dennis the only guy Mike seem to admire
Add Jerry West and Wilt
And scottie. Scottie was the first name he mentioned in his hof speech
@@travismichael9595 true. But now I guess MJ would not feel that same admiration now
Dennis was an elite talent within his own regard and MJ admired that. He also bust his ass on the court and knew the pecking order.
Yeah because he couldn’t bully him
Rodman is like your one classmate in school that never study, but still get high grades.
“Why don’t you study” cuz I pay attention in the damn class the first time
@Tu Papi But you cannot pull that in a good college because the whole class was like that in high school.
@@jakemccoy everybody was the same in that they learned it the first time, but they studied on top of it. Studying is a habit that’s worth building sooner than later; spoken from someone who learned the hard way
@@gotedits8747 That's true no matter how smart you are. In the real world, it's the humble, prepared, hard working people who are the most successful. Raw intelligence is not even the most important thing.
I had a classmate like that. He would never take down notes, but when exam time came he would constantly have one of the highest if not the highest score.

Facts
Jordan secretly loves Dennis. And I think the reason why is that Dennis lived on his own terms and rarely compromised. And that’s a really rare quality on a human.
It's no secret.
Draymond green is the new Dennis Rodman
@darryl please stop. Dennis Gon make draymon his b***h any day of the week
@@darrylepps4951 please don’t…
It's absolutely not a secret he wanted Dennis he asked Phil if he can handle Dennis before recruiting him to the bulls
Dennis was a freak of nature. Unlimited stamina. Dennis is what if cocaine became a person.
Lol.
LMAOOOOO SAVAGE
Cocaine takes a hit of Dennis Rodman
Dennis Rodmans a helluva drug
Im sure he was on some booger candy fs
It’s very noticeable how Rodman ALWAYS had a strangely high work ethic, as soon as he hit the court. He was a party animal outside of it apparently, but as soon as he stepped into the training facility his mind was on the game. That’s a winner’s trait and explains all his rings
Facts he's only 1 short of Jordan, beat Jordan to get 2 of them, and then got them before Jordan. And before anyone starts Jordan is my 🐐 but these are facts
Guarantee he was competitive and hard headed, good fkn combo man
Straight up 5 of em darn. Ans going going down in history averaging maybe 10 points a game
I wish I had that work ethic. I’m sitting in my car before heading out to the job site, on a Saturday (as usual) and about to get rained on all day while drilling a foundation. There’s nothing I could do to get my mind in the game 100%.
After games, Dennis would get on a cycle for 1 or 2 hours. Dennis hadso much in the tank because the game was only half the workout.
Coach tried to punish Dennis, Dennis punished everyone.
Dennis took slowing down to a fucking walk personal 🤣🤣🤣🤣

The way how they let Dennis be Dennis was the most unique relationship ever
They needed him. He was the engine room. Any dynasty needs a guy of Rodman’s archetype.
That's how it is when you take care of business, no one can say shit. With what he brought to the team, he more than earned the right and the respect to do what he wanted to do. That's rare cause there's not many people in the world who can dictate what they want to do regardless of the rules everyone else had to follow.
I mean, I don't know how unique it could be when Chuck Daley did the exact same thing in Detroit.
He delivered so he earned the respect
Mike is an underrated storyteller

He epitomizes the beauty of choice. The beauty of being yourself despite the odds. I love Dennis.
It's the power of Pearl jam that gives him the strength
Exactly he was 😊
If you watch Dennis play. That dude played like he was possessed. He gave 110% on the court. Mad respect. I’m sure he party just as hard. 😂
He averaged 7ppg for his career, and still made the hall of fame and the top 75 list. I don't think there has ever been a player who impacted the game more without having to score. Dude could literally change the momentum of the game off of hustle, rebounding, and defense, alone.
Rodman was so key to their championship run! Dude was a rebound monster
Yeah... certainly wasn't Jordan LOL
@@travisjazzbo3490Obviously, Jordan was the star. But that second Bulls 3peat doesn't happen without Rodman.
@@AlexG-tp2ik Well... yeah. You do usually need other halfway-decent teammates. No one can win alone
BTW... the last championship probably would have. If you may recall, Pippen was practically useless with a bad back the last 2 games
When "Work hard and play hard" is human, its Dennis Rodman.
When Dennis was coming to the bulls, he was worried Michael wouldn't accept him because of the Detroit days. But Dennis made him a promise that he would not let him down. He kept that promise and Michael always respected Dennis for that.
Hey, Don’t let Isaiah Thomas hear these comments
i believe it was scottie who dislikes dennis? mj was fine with Rodman, dumars but not with thomas or laimbeer
its the other way around, MJ badly needed rodman so they can have 20 rebounds
MJ is the reason why the Bulls got Rodman. More research should be done before this statement was made.
@@arwinstamaria3389 THATS the real fact MJ was vocal the Bulls needed the worm 🐛 for his outstanding rebounding skills despite his height Dennis was a phenomenal addition to Mike and Bulls ❤
What an honor to have the GOAT tell this story!

And rebounder
Dennis truly had an endless gas tank. It was insane to watch him go 110% an entire game without stopping or letting up
And it was EVERY GAME…
Dennis Rodman was the only other teammate to have the same amount of energy as Michael Jordan after a game Dennis Rodman would get a work out, or go on either the StairMaster or treadmill for an hour then went clubbing right after
Dennis never looked tired on the court, he was a machine.
Dennis ran track so the drill came easy to him
The only issue I had with Dennis was he would work out like a madman, but not even shower afterward. How you go to the club in straight funk?
@@KxngKUDA wym? They got showers at all gyms in locker rooms I'm sure he'd take a quick shower or at least I hope so lol

You already know how indispensable Dennis Rodman was when you get MJ to Vegas just to pick him up.
Dennis was an incredible athlete. Phil said he was the best athlete he has ever coached. He could run forever.

Rodman was a physical specimen. The fact that he could party as hard as he did and then play an NBA game with all the effort he is known for is impressive.
I told everyone to slow down to a walk...and he took that personally
“Dennis was always on point.” Dennis is why I watched the Bulls. Defense matters. His hustle was unsurpassed. A defensive GOAT.
You can treat everyone fairly but you can’t treat everyone the same.
I like that 👌
Wise words
Dennis was definitely “mind over matter”. It’s a trait they look for in special forces soldiers too.
“Well fuck this is kinda messed up” 😂😂😂😂
Knowing Dennis Rodman he ran and worked out on his vacation that’s the type of guy he was he played hard but worked even harder
He probably just had sex for 14 hours a day. That shit is some intense cardio.
This is high praise of Dennis coming from Michael. Michael knew that on the court he gave it 100% always, that's why he wasn't concerned with what he did off the court.
The funny stories come from him, figuring that out he didn’t realize how on point Dennis really was that’s why he has so much admiration for him because he knew when Dennis stepped on that court it was Gotha in all honesty. I have no idea how Dennis did it because that man would party until 10 minutes before the game not shower throwing a jersey go out get like 17 rebounds, play killer defense, and then head right back to the club.
Dennis was the definition of “work hard play harder”
I fucking love Rodman. God bless him.
There will never be another Dennis Rodman
💯Legend / Rebound 👑
Rodman was a coaches dream. As long as he respected the coach and his teammates.
The story is about him getting away from the team mid season. Coaches don't want that
I vehemently disagree about him being a coach’s dream. He was a headache for everyone but Chuck Daly.
He never stopped hustling and did all the dirty work and has 5 titles. He's a coaches dream. Lol.
So if the whole team would have left the coach would have been happy? No MJ was the coach's dream that's why Phil sat down with MJ to talk about how to handle radman.
@Correct The Culture I don't know who "radman" is, but yeah, that second three peat was better than first due to RODMAN. he anchored their D. Stars get away with shit. Rodman was so athletic he didn't need to do a bunch of drills. It didn't seem to hurt the team. And MJ kept him in line.
Will always love Rodman. A true gamer, wore his heart on his sleeve, worked his tail off and never apologized for being himself off the court.

Love the very obvious admiration. Rodman was a natural talent and MJ knew this. Game recognize Game. Real recognize Real.
That’s respectful when you get it from someone who gets lots of respect.
Dennis was obsessed with staying in shape, and still is in perhaps the best shape of former NBA players in his generation. He always lifted weights. He did an hour on the exercise bike after games. He is a genius, and such a hard worker.
He knew he had to work harder than everybody else to make up for those years he didn't play basketball. He didn't go to college until he was 22 and ended up in an obscure NAIA college.

It wasn't a drill to get Dennis back in shape.. it's a drill Phil Jackson did to tell the team.. this is the reason why I let this guy go on a vaca mid season, just to prove the point that Dennis was still in better shape then anybody on that team lol.. that's why he's the zen master 🤣

@@melishadiamond9942 , not true. You must be to young to know that he averaged 25 points and 15 rebounds in college. He played his role on that Pistons team with rebounds and defense and that became his niche in the league

Phil Jackson just demonstrated this invaluable leadership lesson: treating everyone fairly is NOT the same thing as treating everyone equally. Phil knew exactly what Rodman needed.
Kerr took those same lessons to Golden State and it’s worked like a dream for him as well. He’s handled Draymond Green very similarly to how Jackson handled Rodman. Mike Tomlin also follows that philosophy with the Steelers. Great leaders of men.
