Both SRK and Kajol were so brilliant in this. Kajol's breakdown after her son's death felt so raw & real.
Totally! When she scream next to his body I always get choked… that is one hell of a scene!
Not to take ANYTHING away from Kajol's beautiful gutwreching performance - she definitely earned all the Best Actress Awards she won that year... But many people don't know Kajol actually suffered a miscarriage the first time she got pregnant after her marriage in 1999 and subsequent career break in 2001. An extremely traumatic event for anyone, Kajol she was said to be incredibly devastated and was inconsolable for several months and stopped socializing too. 😪😪😪
You can hear that pain in her voice when she screams for her dead baby to "come back" to her in this film 😭😭😭
Side note: I've watched this film at least 5 times over the last 14 years, including at the cinema when it was released in 2010, but I have not cried anywhere near as much as I did watching it with these two angels -???? - but also, I am on a comedown so it could be that
That scene haunted me the first time I watched and also Sridevi's breakdown scene in Mom.
The scene where Kajol finally says Marry me was such a beautiful scene. Knew you guys would love it too!
You cut the scene where Rizwan says “He was my only best friend.” That dialogue slaps! The way SRK delivered it, damnn!! He deserves every praise
For real, that scene literally puts tears in your eyes 💯

One of the best parts about Mandira and Rizwan's relationship was how beautifully Mandira's son accepted it. It was a small role but left a great impact.😢
Kristen is probably the best person for a watchalong. Her true feelings always reflect on her face. I have seen this movie many times and cried but seeing her made me tear up once again.
Micheal is great too.
SRK is not just a king of Bollywood, he is also a king of Acting. Specially his performances in Baazigar, Darr, CDI, Swades, MNIK, VeerZara, Devdas were phenomenal 👑
He is definitely a very good actor, but definitely not the king of acting. His choice of movies mostly were still generic Bollywood movies with not much scope to show acting skills.

But even so, all of the performances cited above (and I would add Fan, Anjaam, Kabhi Haan Kabhi Na, Raees, Dear Zindagi, even Zero) proved that SRK has shown versatility with excellence in numerous roles over his career.
