I recommend my top 2 from all (first is hunter): Re:Zero Kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu, which is kind os gore at some point, but its just amazing And my favorite comedy (?): Nichijou, is about the daily lifes of some school girls, but make no actual sense, and the animation is awesome!
Looks to me like the girl used him to boost her ego and create some drama in her live. She probably told her boyfriend that he was stalking her instead of her cheating. This kind of girl always look for somebody to start a mess with. Courage for her future husband

i just want to say.. i appreciate the tip kimchi HAHA, and it was heartwarming seeing tofu listening to kimchi's story about the girl who basically played him, i am glad it turned out good in the end
this show is a classic. You will definitely love the later episodes. If you want another comedy anime after this series, I highly recommend this old anime, School Rumble.
