      I almost bought this unit on Amazons black Friday special. I would have bought it after watching this video for sure.

    Glad to see I’m not the only one who took some time to figure out why it wouldn’t turn on out of the box…. You would think that sticker would be on the front of the unit right by the power button.
    I kinda like the softer light on the front. Better than some that fry your eyeballs when you’re trying to look at the display or plug something in.
    Thanks for sharing!

      Yes, a sticker near or even over power button would have been best, LOL. Thanks!

      Oh yes for sure, I like the soft light. Those super white lights are really harsh in the deep darkness while camping. Nice touch! Thanks

    Mahalo for another great review Brad! This one helped a family member of mine who has been eyeing this unit. Appreciate what you’re doing brother. Aloha 🤙

    You should have let it fully charged before you started using it. FYI.
    And did you even check to see if you had any updates on the app?

    This is a very good unit and very portable. The 1800w with 2400w surge power is perfect for my usage. I have 2ea. Of the Anker 535 500w units I carry in my truck when out metal detecting or out exploring…These are very good products👍

    That's a really weird battery. It's apparently an 11S, 35.2 volt pack, presuming it's made from 3.2v LFP cells?
    It's 30ah, so maybe 11S, 10P, with 3000mah 26650 cells?

    • @BradCagle
      @BradCagle  8 місяців тому +1

      Yeah, a lot of these power stations have an odd cell series count. Could be a bunch of cylindrical cells, or just 11x 30Ah prismatic, or pouch? Now I'm curious :) I've seen prismatic in these things before.

    Nice video. I wonder what the long term effect on the battery will be for charging 1kWh battery at 1300W which is more than 1C rating.

    • @BradCagle
      @BradCagle  8 місяців тому +1

      Yeah probably not very good for the battery charging it at 1300w all the time. Which is probably why they make you select that mode in the app, and from what I could tell I think I had to select it every time I wanted to charge at that rate. Thanks!

    I have this unit. Fans are obnoxious, which is a shame as it's a nice unit otherwise.

      Do the fans volume vary with the amount of AC load or is it the same volume whether its 200w or 1500w?

    • @derickj1976

      You prolly need to download the update to help with the fans.

    • @adriftatlas

      Fan noise varies with load though even at 1/3 max it eventually starts sounding like a hair dryer after heating up.
      I'm running the latest firmware.

    If I go into the app and lower the AC charge to 200w, can I then charge with a 500 w inverter

      This may be the company Facebook page facebook.com/p/SolarUp-solar-controller-100085109447643 so maybe you can try to contact them to see if they have a pdf. Also search your app store for "SController", or "SController 2.0" this is the phone app. That's about all I have, hope it helps!
