Tip from an artist: washi tape that tracing paper down on the other side of the spread so they don't fly away when you flip through the book. LOVE what you've done here, BTW! What a soothing way to close out or start your day!
I love this! Not only the creativity and beauty in the forms created with the zendoodle/tangle, but that you are featuring the inks in your collection and the jazzy things they can do! (insert jazz-hands)
Just found your channel and what a delight! Just love the repetitive patterns and beautiful sheen of ink displays. It's a whole new way for me to explore my inks and have a great excuse to purchase more ink samples (just as I have been recently telling myself that I have quite enough for the next year)! Thanks for the beautiful inspiration and entertainment!
Great idea on one a month. That's give me time to plan out how to "teach it". I'll check with Rickshaw on the pen rolls - - they did that as a one off for me, but it doesn't hurt to ask! :)
That's the most creative and inspiring way of testing inks I have seen so far - and the most beautiful! I like it a lot. The spice on this video meal is your fine humor - you get the right dose each time. Thank you!
So inspirational.!! They are all beautiful in their own way.!! I love your creativity.! You are a beautiful talented young lady and a blast. Thank you for you.! 💖
I still can’t get over the tomato river paper 😂😂 love this so much! Thanks for sharing and inspiring us. Your videos are always a guaranteed good laugh 🙃
Thanks for the flip-through Newsha! Loved seeing it! So many familiar and memorable patterns / doodles I recognise from your insta posts. Absolute Lightbulb moment with the tracing in-be-tweeners! Your first tutorial for Artsy-Fartsy was awesome and I can’t wait to try some more...
I LOOOVED the paradox YOU did - - seriously, the rotation of the design with the Art Deco touches. 😍 I'll post the second part next week, and we'll see what people want to see. 🤓
I have a big collection of fountain pen Inks and couple of Fountain Pens and notebooks. This gives me idea to do more than just writing. They are beautiful. I have to watch it again and again. Thank you for sharing.
I just found your channel this morning. I have spent all of my breaks today binge watching your videos! These are amazing drawings! I love pic you drew at 12:54. I would love to learn to draw, or doodle or whatever artsy stuff you do. This is amazing! 😮if you have time I know I am like 2 years late… can you show how you create this?
🤣 it’s okay. I took a long break from social media so I’m late too. I’m in the process of filming an artsy fartsy time with flowers. It’ll have a similar design to that one. Hope you had a good day at work. 🙌🏼
These are all gorgeous and amazing! How long do they typically take? How do you keep from smudging your ink? The ink companies should use these to advertise their colors, very cool!
Great questions - - the ones with circles take FOREVER because it requires a really steady hand. I used to do these before bed, so about a half hour to an hour a night - - the less complicated pieces take a couple of days, the more complicated ones can take a week or more. It just depends. For the smudging, I'm very conscientious as to where my hand is going to be when I'm drawing with FP ink. I try to work in sections up to down, or I rotate the notebook, OR I wait until a section dries if I have to go back. Also, I always put something under my hand for those really saturated inks since they smudge long after they're "dry." Sorry for the long answers, but really great questions! 👍
Beautiful and so inspiring! I was already enticed by your first artsy fartsy vid but now I am going to try this. how can we get the Rickshaw penroll with your design? I have been waiting the right one to come along and this one pleases this turquoise and blue girls soul :O wow.
I love a woman who can laugh at herself. This was SO COOL. And there is like no bleed through on that paper you're using AT ALL which is nuts to me. I feel like I have so many questions. when you start a drawing do you know what you're going to do, like do you plan it out in your head ahead of time or is it really random and you flows as you go?? I have not seriously tried Zentangling but I did try that paradox and couldn't get it. I gave up after 4-5 tries. Would love a really simple tutorial.
That's why I like 68 gsm Tomoe River paper so much - - very little bleed through, unless I get REALLy crazy. If it's a non-repetitive design, I have a starting idea in my head, but it usually morphs as I do it. Sometimes I'll map it out with very light pencil, other times I fly by the seam of my pants. How can I help simplify the Paradox? That was my first "tutorial," so I'm completely open to feedback since I want my content to be useful. :)
Love this video. I would really like to see how you did any of these. How you come up with the “design “ would be helpful or is it just from you head. Thanks
For the ones that aren't repetitive patterns, I usually have a starting point defined and I add as I go. Sometimes I'll look at a Pinterest board I have with a BUNCH of designs/doodle patterns, and I add them as I go. So it's a little planned, and little on the fly. Sometimes it turns out well, other times...ehhhh....😂
When Inky is not there to mess with the camera I am so glad you are a good stand in😊😊😊😊😊 But seriously now, great flip through I really enjoyed it, and was glad to know that to do these "one has to keep at it" (yep my first attempt was very sad), but here is a question do you find that F nibs are better for this? Or if you use an M nib does your spacing have to be larger to account for that?
I think I've finally figured out the best filming time - - when the two fur babies are napping. 😹😹 The nib size really depends on how much detail you want to make with the pattern. I've done designs in fine, medium, and broad. A medium and broad are much more forgiving (for me at least) because you see less "line wobbles." Hope that makes sense. :)

Omg BELINDA! That’s genius! 🙌🏼

RIGHT?! I like how I was able to show sheeny goodness. That was one of the fun parts of filming this. ❤️
They are all so beautiful! Definitely has me inspired right now! They show off the ink and it's properties so well, I love it.
oh my gosh I want a tutorial on all of it!! You are amazingly talented.
😂 thank you for the compliment! 🥰

This is an awesome idea for how to use up the ink in your pens! Love it!
Wonderful!! But I cannot pick just one for a tutorial. So one a month would be perfect!! HINT! Love the Rickshaw Pen Roll!!

Loved this! Would love a tutorial on 5:41/10:06 (to start). I confess, I screen shot a few of them, hoping to be inspired!!

@@ferociousnprettypens cool, thanks! They’re all so pretty. I end up smudging in my journal doing normal writing on tomato paper 🤪 so I’m impressed!

I have no idea about the Rickshaw pen roll. I can reach out to them and ask how they decide to add a design to their line up. I'll keep you posted. ❤️
