So real honestly. But I can imagine that this song would still resonate with the internal battle of any sinner coming to terms with their existence in hell, or a living mortal pondering that eternal struggle. It’s a really nice song for that, and so beautifully different from the typical musical style of HH and HB that kinda just makes it hit different to me.

Well I mean, Charlie IS meant to be "Disney princess from hell" but in a good way so totally makes sense that lucifer too would be a "Disney protag from hell" but in a good way.
The Bible states in Matthew 6:14 (NLT ) “If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you." After hearing this song that was made for Lucifer, is it possible that God is willing to forgive him, if Lucifer is willing to change & willing to ask for forgiveness? I'm curious if this is the kind of question that everyone is/has been wondering? Or am I just overthinking this?
Biblical lucifer? No because 1. He doesn't want to change. 2. Lucifer was never tempted. There was no outside force to make him want to sin. He did it completely out of the malice of his heart. 3. He blasphemed against the holy spirit multiple times, which is already an unforgivable sin. 4. Angels are timeless, eternal, beings. They have a much, much, MUCH higher standard than humans who in comparison are mere atoms. Alot less room for error. Hazbin hotel lucifer? Hard to say. God doesn't even exist in hazbin hotel. Biblical lucifer rebelled against God, as HH lucifer gave humans free will which is a big difference, one is going against righteousness and is pure evil, the other wanted people to be able to choose good and evil.
It's a very valid question. A favorite play of mine "The Last Days of Judas Iscariot" examines this concept as it relates to Judas. Worth reading over.
@@chickengod9885 Their is one thing I will say that both Hazbin Hotel's version & our reality version has in common, "No human that is alive knows for sure what is happening in the afterlife, once we die." Im sorry, did Caleb just write a fire show style song about Hazbin Hotel from Lucifer's perspective no less, and include the gospel message in just enough subtlety to not be seen as twisting the show? This seems like the story someone who grew up Christian, grew to resent it because they rebelled and offered a slightly twisted idea that they saw as beautiful and were shut down. So they lived only seeing the negative in humanity's creation while doing as they wished. They grew depressed and angry and did things they regret. Now they realize they caused much pain and wish for redemption but don't quite believe it's possible for them. And maybe they had bad experiences with people who claimed to follow God, so they don't want to be associated with them. "If Heaven is these people then I don't want to sing their song" We Christians are supposed to show a taste of Heaven, but can't in our imperfection, so others get an imperfect view of what its truly supposed to be and pretty often they can't see the light because our sin tries to cover it up. White is easy to stain with crimson, right? And it's impossible to clean crimson dye from white wool with washing. That's why we need a Saviour to wash it clean. White as snow. And when He does we will never be the same.
I recommend checking out the channel Checkpoint Church's video on Hazbin Hotel. It's a short but, wonderful analysis of how Hazbin Hotel gets a point of Christianity that modern Christianity often forgets or ignores.

Came back for a second comment, holy crap Caleb. This song is actually incredible, like I don't even know how you did it dude but this is one of the ONLY few Hazbin Hotel songs to really make me cry.
This is so relatable for me personally. It sounds a little dramatic, but bear with me. When I was younger, people told me that middle school would be amazing. You have so much "freedom" and people are "super nice" and "the admin actually so stuff." Well, none of that was true. "I was told that heaven's streets were paved with gold" and "I was told that I would never walk alone" are so relatable to me. I lost everyone except my parents in what felt like a good decision at the time in my first year of middle school. "But my hands and feet are bloodied and no one wants a sinner's lot" made me start bawling like a baby. And that decision has stuck with me even in high school and it just kept coming back to haunt me and effectively killed my social life for four+ years at this point. I've been wondering if I can ever be rid of that choice and "wash it clean, white as snow" and "erase a past that has caused so much pain." Jesus, I'm crying just writing this! Anyway, thanks for the cryfest. I will be listening to this song for six hours straight now.
This song is absolutely stunning. Every lyric, every swell of music, every word - it’s just so damn powerful, especially for Lucifer! I really hope this gets the recognition it deserves and Vivzie takes notice of this song!!! 🤍💛🤍
this is so amazing, i absolutely love how much emotion you put into your singing, the ending of the song always brings tears to my eyes. gonna keep this song on repeat! Thank you
So Heaven throws out from its ranks the dreamer who lost his dreams, but instead creates another dreamer, the one whose dreams came true and who will show Heaven that they are wrong. Perfect song for that!
Lucifer's dream was to overthrow god and likely get rid of all humans, so I wouldn't exactly call heaven wrong for this. But I guess in Lucifer's mind he's delusionally justified in his actions, so that is in character.
This is honestly one of your finest work. I was legitimately moved by the words and have listened to it like 5x already. Absolute superb job, pls keep this up :)
Holy smokes, Caleb! That was incredible! I never get over how stellar the range of your voice is, brother. Hey, if ya think of it, I’d love to hear you and Jonathan, Anna, Amalee and others do a colab cover of “Our Time Has Come” from the old movie Cats Don’t Dance!

Such a beautiful song dude💙 I was thinking about it and the idea of “Redemption” really is at the core of Hazbin Hotel. Can I change?” I love how hopeful this track is overall and Shiros art is amazing as ever, I think they really captured the theme💙 Beautiful job y’all🙌✨💙
Man, this touched on so much of Lucifer’s character and it really hits hard 🥹 I also appreciate the use of references to “Amazing Grace” in the pre-chorus ♥️ Well done 👍🏼
OMG I LOVE this! Little random but each time I play this I see this as Luci trying to overcome his barrriers of depression and self worth veiwing Charlie as 'Grace' as she has given him hope and inspiration that things can change and he is finally starting to gain his rebelious spirt as he belts his final words towards heaven. Anyone else or an I reading this wrong?

All aboard the feels train! 😭💔🚃
Omg the goosebumps from the first line alone, and the goosebumps throughout the whole goddamn song. this is beautiful😭😭😭
2:35 the godly part
This is probably the best song I have ever heard man keep the good work I believe you
This song is absolutely stunning. Every lyric, every swell of music, every word - it’s just so damn powerful, especially for Lucifer! I really hope this gets the recognition it deserves and Vivzie takes notice of this song!!! 🤍💛🤍
This is really good, your voice fits Lucifer really well
Now this is how you make a incredible I Want song, take that Disney and your lackluster This Wish.
finally. "christan" music i can feel good about listening to.
this is so amazing, i absolutely love how much emotion you put into your singing, the ending of the song always brings tears to my eyes. gonna keep this song on repeat! Thank you
Oh my god??? CALEB. This is incredible! I have chills! You crushed this!
You ate with this, hope to see you in season 2! 🤞
Honestly. 10/10. This is a song I'll forever listen to on repeat. Gives me some Dear Evan Hansen vibes.
gosh dang this had no reason to be this good
“But grace… it holds my hand, and tells me to not hold back” dang you made a banger! Keep at it, you’re doing great!
Time for the tears to form, good or bad? I dunno but the song is beautiful
Absolutely love this! New favorite song, we need to get an hour loop of this
Honestly like a lot of his songs the more I listen the more it grows on me. It's an amazing song.
But I guess in Lucifer's mind he's delusionally justified in his actions, so that is in character.
this is so interesting as a song for lucifer and also how it reflects on vaggie, another fallen angel
No words can describe how perfect this song is 😭 You should get a part in the cast in the future! You have a great singing voice ❤❤❤
This is honestly one of your finest work. I was legitimately moved by the words and have listened to it like 5x already. Absolute superb job, pls keep this up :)
The "can i hope can I change can I erase the past that has cost so much pain" part would be a perfect line for lucifer's backstory.
This song would be unironically played on a Christian radio station
We gotta get Vivzie’s eyes on this and maybe it might be out into the show because honestly it at least deserves to be viewed by Vivzie
This song went HARD and hit all the feels and I am here for it! Well done, sir!
I had NO clue you were such a good composer too, omg this is amazing. And the vocals are just mwah, it's so heartfelt and gutwrenching.
This song is actually incredible. Caleb dude you are KILLING it with the songs you make!!
I can only say that this is a perfect song for Hazbin's Lucifer. Truly, beautiful beyond words
This song is just amazing! You're Brilliant, Caleb!
God I'd love to hear more original Hazbin songs. Thank you Caleb for this ❤
This song is so angelic! It brought me to peace the first time I listened to it, and it has been so comforting to listen to ever since. So majestical. Wow. You crushed this, Caleb! 🤩❤️
I felt this. You should be in the show. Your voice is so strong and beautiful that it would be so fitting.
this is so beautiful 💗 you can think of it in the context of lucifer but really its a song for all of us
Caleb's voice is so good it's like a voice of an angel ( no pun intended ;) )
I'm just crying this is so beautiful in such an angelic way🥲
this is so emotional for some reason im almost crying
But Grace how sweet that sounds God that's a great line
im pretty sure its a reference to "Amazing grace" :D
I have been summoned
Such a beautiful song dude💙
I was thinking about it and the idea of “Redemption” really is at the core of Hazbin Hotel. It really makes you wonder if even those who think they’re past the point might still have a chance. “Can I hope? Can I change?” I love how hopeful this track is overall and Shiros art is amazing as ever, I think they really captured the theme💙
Beautiful job y’all🙌✨💙
No, but for real, this song is so beautiful, beautiful!❤
❤❤God bless you and Jesus Loves you
This is so beautiful. And it has a nice Disney vibe, too, like golden age Disney. Immediately sharing that
Man, this touched on so much of Lucifer’s character and it really hits hard 🥹 I also appreciate the use of references to “Amazing Grace” in the pre-chorus ♥️ Well done 👍🏼
Wow. This is amazing. The lyrics are so well thought out and the orchestration just elevates it all to eleven.
