in the pilot, we thought lucifer was the bad parenting figure and lilith was the caring mother, now we know its the reverse
It's a sort of dilemma for the concept of: "Don't judge a book by its cover"
Not everything is inherently terrible, if Lucifer was pure evil then there'd be no hope for humans to refrain from the consequences of free will as much as Lucifer would've done. But when there exists doubts, order falls apart, so it's only for the sake of existence that not everything is truly recognized. This perhaps might be one of the setbacks God set Adam and Eve with the apple of knowledge, if we as humans are inevitably going to one day take what we shouldn't, then it's better to do so than to wait endlessly for a terrible fate no one could expect.
Actually i think that the blame is 50/50 alleviation and quarrels. All the time

A lot of people don't seem to focus on how it must hurt for Lucifer to hear from Charlie "You don't know that" after he says "Heaven never listens". He was the first fallen angel, the first to experience Heaven unwillingness to listen, too afraid of change and too focused on preserving the status quo. It must hurt so much to constantly remember you accidentally created Hell and made a way for evil to get into the word, while everything you wanted was to share the gift of freedom. Poor guy, Lucifer. However, his voice... God... He truly was the most beautiful angel...

Lucifers desperate attempts to protect charlie are so sweet.
He was so loving and caring.
He feared that showing her his past would hurt.
He was... misguided sure, but his love for his daughter is so expansive that he just wants what's best for her.
Which is immediately apparent when he accepts charlie's dream, and immediately does whatever he can to help
Lucifer is not as bad as most give him credit for. He truly cares for his daughter. This song shows his fear and courage.

Your music is so beautiful - you add just enough to enhance what's already there while not overshadowing what made these songs great in the first place. The echos, the moving strings... they are so beautiful and feel like they fit so naturally, I had to check the originals to double check they weren't there when they first came in.
