אמש התקיימה שמחת בר המצווה של הושע ישראל בנו הבכור של הגאון הינוקא - הרב שלמה יהודה בארי שליט"א, באירוע נחכו גדולי ישראל ושורה של אישי ציבור, זמרים ונגנים.

לאירוע שמחת הבר מצווה שהתקיימה באולמי 'עדיה' הגיעו אלפים מכל רחבי הארץ לאחל ברכת 'מזל טוב' לחתן השמחה שערך סיום הש"ס במהלך הערב.
את הערב הנעימו שורה ארוכה של זמרים ונגנים בהם שלמה כהן, משה דוויק, שמחה ליינר ואלי הרצליך.

Maybe I’m missing something but it was with a saddened emotion I watched this video unfold, for what appears to have occurred is a celebration meant to honor and be about a young boy, whom should have been the center of everyone’s attention ended up being a celebration where his Dad was the focus of the event, while his son sat bored alone behind his Dads turned back most often, as his Dad was approached repeatedly amongst the entire group of much older men often completely ignoring him. That’s not what a Bar Mitzvah after party is supposed to be and it should be joyful for the young man, with not just a bunch of old men but also his peers, because it’s for the son first and foremost not his parent. Not once did he genuinely smile because he wasn’t experiencing joy as if he was elated to celebrate his big day during the party, because it was completely overshadowed by the fame of his Dad. How could these brilliant men be so blind to not recognize what they did was alienate instead of elevating this young man by how he was treated? Perhaps he is on the autistic scale and thus why things occurred as they did but even if so; still to continually not even recognize him and yet his Dad seems wrong to me. I didn’t see a happiness celebrating with his Dad at all which frankly has left me utterly confused by how his Dad allowed it to unfold that way, when he could have focused his own attention towards him and others would have as well. If your study and fame causes you to loose a close relationship with the son you mentor by it not being evident by observation of others you are close, then how is that being loving towards him?, when the Rav teaches love is so important. Love should put the son in the spotlight with intention when it’s appropriate even when your famous. Just seems a truly humble man would have put his son first during the event. Nobody likes nor enjoys basically sitting alone in a room full of people being ignored and it makes me feel extremely sorrowful to witness it, because his son will always remember how he felt on his big day. Ego nature on display by a parent is never pretty to witness and someday a man will look back and reflect about how he felt that day and when he watches videos of the event he may understand why, which if his Dad doesn’t wake up to what he allowed and make it right will leave a deep psychological wound. It’s hard to leave a comment like this but maybe if awareness is brought to attention about how this video comes across it may result in a genuine apology to his son for how he inadvertently was treated. It is a unique situation concerning his Dad and I’m certain what occurred wasn’t intentional by those in attendance. Gods Blessings 🙏🏼

Although I did not state such I do consider his Dad as someone in attendance as well who was not acting in an intentional manner regarding how things unfolded at his sons celebration, which left him ignored often. Sometimes it’s easy for us humans to not realize the dynamics of the way things unfold and I simply was trying to make them more aware of how the interactions should have focused on the boy and not his Dads fame during the particular event, and an apology to the boy was in order. His Dad does set the standard by which others feel is acceptable in how and when they can approach him. If he had said this event is about my son please let’s stay focused on him during this time, then the guests would have honored such request. If his focus had been on his son others would have been as well. They simply did not realize is also clear. An individual like his Dad is a rare type fame among them and they all simply lost their focus and manners concerning whom the event was for. I pray they make it right with the child is all, because his feelings had to have been hurt and it’s all over his face more than once that he felt alone surrounded by others, and that’s a sad thing during a celebration and even worse as a way of life experiences. It’s disrespectful for adults to cause a child to feel like that even done without intention; sometimes paying attention to intent is important. It’s within human nature for people to feel they are loved and cared for, by how others treat them directly. 💕
